I may dislike some things about Kate, but she was definitely the heart of the show. Most, if not all, of her actions were done with the idea of benefitting others regardless of the consequences for Kate. And this scene proves that; she gave up the one thing in her life that she didn't run away from just to reunite Aaron with his family.
I love the show Lost! This show has everything you could every want comedy, romance, drama, and tears. I cried when she said "Bye, bye, baby" she loved Aaron so much!
@omygodwatthehey No. Claire getting messed up was why the didn't attack Smokey right away and it was neededto finish Kate's development from running away to runing to something-Claire. Plus poeticc sadness of Kate losing her love to get his sister to safety and the son she raised.
I am not a huge Evi or Kate fan but this is one of my favorite scenes in the history of the show. Rivals the Deus Ex Machina scene with Locke or the Juliet falling down the hatch scene with Josh Holloway.
I cried when I saw this scene for the first time. It's very emotional after they spend so much time in this episode and in previous ones building up the relationship between kate and Aron. It's not so emotional when I watch it out of context though.
First of all, I adore Kate and Love her even more after this episode, but I think its so interesting that you can feel for a character that you hate and see the talent of Evangeline Lilly. It think its a huge compliment for an actor.
It happens to me all the time. I don't care for Sawyer but I love the way Josh Holloway plays him.
I think Lilly is one of the most talented people on the series, especially for someone who's never really been in an acting role. She's had roles but nothing big and no lines.
not true, he would have been with his granny, which is where K is leaving him now.
Anyway, until she had that conversation with Sawyer's ex and all of this stuff of Kate needing Aaron to get over S, i was all up for her taking care of him. I thought she did it because she has grown very affectionate to him and that's that. K taking him because she selflishy thought she needed something to love to get over S it's just wrong and ridiculous, and i really don't like where the writers are taking her.
or maybe she just needed something/someone to focus on and to love after the trauma she had suffered for the duration of her time on the island? plus, if she hadnt lied and taken care of him he wood have been taken into care!
Or another reason could be, she needed someone who would love her unconditionally after all that she has been through, even before the Island happened.
Also, Kate isn't selfish. If you had just seen the scene above, it's not about how Kate took Aaron for her own need, its about Kate returning Aaron to his Grandmother because its for HIS own good.
Why do they all pronounce aaron like erin? :/

It's hard to get emotionally drawn into this scene when Claire's mum's Australian accent is the worst attempt of any accent I've ever heard.
