@mstomruz Thanks, but actually I was sitting too high. I needed to sit back a bit from the mic because otherwise the loud bits (the chorus) would have overloaded the track, I would rather lean forward to do the quieter bits (the verses) instead. ;)

Thanks. The mic I used on this video is an AKG SolidTube, I like it a lot myself but it's not a mic for everyone. Although it is very warm, intimate sounding and produce great details, it also sounds very dark. I think it cost around USD 900 brand new now or around USD 400 used. It is a hybrid vacuum tube mic with solid state circuitry, and you would need a good pre-amplifer to make the best out of it.

I was told the power supply that comes with the mic is a bit unstable but then I have used it for nearly 10 years and have never had a problem with it. The most important thing is, try it out before you buy any mic, you should find one that suits your voice. One more thing, this mic is only good for vocals, not so great on recording instruments. The E 413 seems like a nice keyboard, lots of features. ;) You should ask 'rickckk' to do a tutorial for this song, after listening to his version of this song, I felt a bit shameful with my own playing. If you don't have any thing to record your song with, I'd strongly recommend 'Garage Band', it's really easy to use and the sound quality is great, that's what I used to record this by the way. Wow, very, very good voice! Only criticism I can think of, if I really want to get picky about it, is that I think you could of sang it with more "emotion."
