I LOVE this collection. I listen to this collection EVERY single Christmas. It brings back so many childhood memories. My little brother LOVED dancing to "Feliz Navidad". What a great collection of Christmas songs. Sigh.

I am sooo happy to see this, I always remember seeing it at the end of September that meant that the holiday season was coming soon. I too wish I could go back to these days when I was a kid and everyone was here. I would give anything to have a holiday season like that from my childhood..just one year to be able to go back and appreciate it for all it was worth... Good memories THANKS !!

Thank you, thank you, thank you whoever posted this video. I have been looking for this commercial for so long. I feel like a kid again seeing this because this signaled that the long awaited Christmas season was here. I love the little model village in the commercial. My family had the original album (like so many) and when you opened it up it was like a pop-up book. This is going in my favorites!

One of my all-time favorite Christmas commericals. I remember they started showing this around late October/early November each year and got me excited for Christmas. They still aired new commericals for this set maybe 5-10 years ago.

Wow! I remember this from when I was a kid. Started a couple of months before Christmas. I thought of it as a kick off to Christmas!! Now the kick off starts so much earlier. I try to ignore it now...

This started to be shown in October so that everyone could order before christmas via phone or mail.

THEN the christmas commercials started on Thanksgiving Day when the parade was on.

Today they push the music and the commercials.

I would bet the house the station in Chicago WLIT 93.9 FM in Chicago will start playing it November 15 if they havent started already! Its a shame too when I was a kid they would give the Christmas music in small incriments Day after Thanksgiving till December 24th around Noon then Noon 12-24 till Christmas Night wall to wall Christmas Music quite sad the way its done today. No wonder Charlie Brown was POed about the overcommerclization of Christmas!!!

Does anyone remember a commercial Time-Life did for this set but it was ina log cabin and different christmas scenes were shown like a kid decorating a tree and mom baking cookies...Anyone know where to find that commercial?

The commercial would usually start airing in September each year. By December it was not on all that much as they could'nt get you the record in time for Christmas as it took weeks back then.
