Could you tell me if that amp does feature a fx loop and if it is available only as a head ? I've a cab featuring two Eminence Red Fang alnico speakers and imagine it would fit good with that amp too, wouldn't they ?

hah thanks xD and it's kind of a sad story cause that's quite true, me and my mate have a little band between ourselves, just me and a drummer, no bassist or singer, we barely ever get gigs cause we don't really go out of our way to advertise ourselves with no bassist/singer :( i dunno what FX loop means but if you're on about effects the amp doesn't have any, that's why i have to use a distortion and reverb pedal with it, and i don't think this model comes only as a head, just a combi.

A fx loop means an effect loop that consits in a circuit between preamp and amp (send and return) where you can plug delays, reverbs and modulations for better results than in front of the preamp.

@joshuaspeed1991 i don't know what the hype about his playing is all about... he's too harsh, constantly! it takes away from any feeling that could've been there. the chops are okay, but based on the same scale forms - and little (if any) phrasing, just a constant assault on the poor EJ...

@dconrad1987 im only playing like that because of the style of music i was playing, it was a fast rhythm so it's hard to play soulfully, tbf i don't really think this video is very good, lots of mistakes and stuff, mind you it is all improvised

@Fendershred50 i never said he had to play EJ licks / grab his tone. read my comment more carefully :p He's on the right track, I just don't want him to get robbed of constructive criticism. I only wish I put up my improvs on youtube back when guitar was my life, just to hear what others thought I could improve on etc.

It doesn't have an effects loop, mate, which is the only down side to an exceptional amp. I'm tempted to see if I can get a tech to mod one onto my amp. Yes, you can buy the head by itself. I think they're going for about £799 on ebay.

I'm running it through the high input on channel one, the tone is rolled about 2/3's and the bass shape is set to number 5, the pedals im using are in the description, and yeah im really liking the artisan, sounds much better than my old mesa F50, has a lot purer tone and is a lot more versatile, cuts through really well for gigs as well.

My Custom Stratocaster with Jason Lollar Special S Pickups also sounds great through it too but it's definitely a Humbuck'in Amp!

lol nah i don't know that guy, oh well, i don't pay attention to idiots that have nothing constructive to say. and yeah, the whole thing was an improv and it was my intention to play a bit faster than usual, but yeah i do admit it was sloppy and i know it was. i only did one take and that was it, i would of done more but i couldn't really be bothered lol, this is the first video i've ever actually posted on youtube, but i can post more and i can play better than this lol :P

Dude that guy below me was either a friend who was just messing with you and giving you a hard time, or a jerk. I am not sure, haha. I did think some of your playing was a bit sloppy and could have been slower. But there isn't anything wrong with playing fast if it is what you want to do. If this was a lot of improv., You are a pretty durn good guitar player. Keep it up. I love the raunchy strat tone too. Reminds me of Hendrix, SVR, and Eric Johnson. Also, the maple neck was a wise choice!

Blues is more than wailing out a bunch of Measures...it's about "Living it & feeling it" Learn to find your TONE...with all that money you've spent on Gear you should have a beautiful Tone and not that Garbled up shit for Sound! Dump the Effects Pedals!!!!!
