  • You'd think his brains are what need the blood the least. He already enlisted to begin with. /jk

  • Same thing happening to me!

    JROTC Army....

  • This is what I do for Cheerleading. I lock my legs... I'm scared now :/

  • i seen this happen on a worse scale when i was in jrotc in high shcool

  • The disrespect is crazy

  • Woa!! whats all this about not locking your kness???

  • @Irish16King When in formation and standing at attention, they always tell us not to lock our knees (when you stand up straight, legs completely tight). It restricts blood flow, and the hot weather makes this even more prevelant.

  • @LastXdeth Ah right. thats a handy tip for me. Cheers man!

  • XD! D'aw.

  • @ihateopp actually look at the height and weight charts. According to the marines I can be 215 and enlist and for the army I have to be under 186...fuck off haha

  • @EvanNovickiMusic Doesn't mean they let them in you fuckin moron. Still gotta be fit and able to do at least 5 pull ups to even ship to Boot Camp. What are the requirements for army basic. 5 push ups and 2 minutes on a recumbent bicycle?

  • Comment removed

  • @Ihateopp No the requirements to even ship to boot for the Marines are TWO CHIN UPS not pull ups. 44 CRUNCHS and you have to run a mile and a half in 13 minutes. Now shut up

  • Only in the army.....

  • @Ihateopp Yeah only in the army that you're not in, You know whats funny? You're part of the fat ass americans that hate their own country. Just look at yourself in the mirror and say "Why am I saying that? I should do something for reals in life, like enlisting" Damn civilians have no fucking respect these days. I hate Civilians

  • @Metallicuss hahaha ok. Way to make assumptions. Im enlisted in the Marines and weigh 175, far from fat. They don't let fat bodies in the Marine Corps like they do in your precious army.

  • @Ihateopp Even worse!!! Fuckin pog have fun in your 6 month deployment of doing half assed jobs and pissing on dead bodies making us Joes look bad. Damn Jarheads.

  • MEDIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's a damn shame..I remember 3 soldiers fell out like that at our graduation. smh.

  • omg this happpens at least once during the first two or three weeks of jrotc....stupid first years need to fuckin listen

  • @Panheadperson Yeah first day of PT some kid in my JROTC passed out . It's my first year and I'm already a Staff Sergeant. I know what the fuck to do haha

  • @MATTHEWTHEINGRAM that is so ironic...its my second year but i finished my first year as a staff sergeant...apparently colonel thinks im ready to be a flight sergeant next year...kinda scared

  • Locking your knees causes the blood circulation in the leg to get cut off, causing you to faint.

  • I graduate tomorrow. Delta 2/60. Scouts out!

  • and women wanna be in the infantry

  • @arm071775 LMFAO dude that's great

  • locking your knees restricts blooflow to your brain therefore depriving your brain of oxygen so your bodys natural response is to pass out

  • @g0rg0n Dude, love how you commented in this 5 years ago and now I'm replying, well, He locked hes knees, hes probably the his last meal, and likely hasn't drunk much water, plus the locked knees prevented circulation to his brain...

  • LOL, seen this happen lot's of times, luckly never me. Usually at some Brass' retirenment.

  • Locking your knees doesn't let blood flow through.

  • wtf! what hell's wrong with him. He just went retarded or something.

  • @kargmeister1337 lock ur knees for 7 minites then ul get ur awnser

  • Why would locking your knees do this to you?

  • yeah this kid locked his knees during this event and fell backwards on the concrete right by a car. it was scary. then all of our SAIs told us 2 not ock our knees.

  • They should pull the arrow out first

  • Comment removed

  • I used to lock my knees but then I took an arrow to the knee...

  • @KryptexMusic so... you're Crippled?

  • LMAO sarge must have been really proud of that slip up :)

  • dude watch out for that arro... oh shit

  • He took an arrow in the knee,

  • @Brycey97 Where's the Arrow though?

  • 0:10 All he wanted was a hug...

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • teehee

  • "I used to be a soldier, but then i took an arrow to the..." Oh fuck off

  • you don't need battle rattle for a change of command

  • I used to be a soldier, but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • @alismith92 LOL Skyrim!!!

  • XD they always told us not to lock our knees. I guess this is why.

  • Damn those Leg Ninja's, another one down!

  • Troops are weak, that's why we lose wars.

  • @3rdPR fuck you they're the one's keeping you alive and safe.

  • @Dahobomastaa Bull shit. I do that myself. I don't need a gang.

  • @Dahobomastaa Not exactly our occupation in so many countries is a major contributor to our supposed "terror endangerment."

  • @3rdPR We lose wars because the American populations goes into hysteria over the slightest bit of bloodshed and demands we get our boys home the instant one of them gets a nose bleed -.-

Happened in Vietnam and I think one of the Gulf wars.

  • @JustForRandomComment nosebleed? we lost 58,000 servicemen in vietnam. next time i punch you in face, i'll be sure to draw and quarter your ass afterward, so when i send it back to your family in a package with a bomb, they'll understand what nosebleed means. go fuck yourself.

  • @JustForRandomComment I don't know where you get that. Every war I remember from Vietnam forward went on far too long with many casualties.

  • @wetotheetotheztotheo it constricts the blood flow from you legs back to your heart, so your body's instant reaction is to make the body go limp by passing out to regain blood flow.

  • LMAO how embarrassing

  • MEDIC!

  • This happened my freshman yer in AFJROTC i just see my friend at parade rest for 1 second the next i hear a thump turn around and shes passed out on the floor dayum i got scared cuz it was barely my 4th day of being a flt sgt

  • what does it do if you lock your knees?

  • @wetotheetotheztotheo Cuts off the circulation or something. Happened to a few people in my JROTC.

  • we had a guy do that during a command ceremony , looked over to us said hey , fell over vroke his jaw in 4 places,, on concrete floor, teeth out n all, sucked

  • did that today in my first pool function...

  • Thats why i was told to wiggle my toes....

  • Why did he pass out? Nervous or was he drunk or what?

  • @CrutialProductions He locked his knees, cutting off his circulation making him pass out.

  • @LiouTao OOOhhhhhhhhhh.....

  • I was taught to wiggle your toes or move your foot inside your boot every once in a while to keep up circulation and avoid the dreaded "surfboard syndrome".

    Poor guy

  • Human dominoes

  • did he die, i'm actually asking.

  • @caleblich2 No he passed out

  • @caleblich2 no there's a blood vessel in your knees that when the blood going through it gets back to heart it goes to your brain and when you lock your knees it gets pinched

  • I saw the samething happen during my graduation at Fort Mcclellan Alabama.

  • Damn, those invisible snipers got another one....

  • that was the bessed falling out of formation i have ever seen

  • Do people seriously have no idea what's happened?

He fainted. Probably heat stress with all that kit on in what looks to be a warm place, he more than likely skipped the previous meal, or didn't take enough water on board.

How I know this you ask?

I fainted on a parade in Afghanstan.......... Looked just like that, apparently... >.<

  • @shadow1270 How long do you usually stay on a parade like that?

It has to be VERY damn long for you to faint O.o

  • @8linck8 Feeling dizzy actually has a surprisingly quick effect being in that heat. Some people also have a low blood pressure, which isn't helped at all with the uniform they have to wear. I know for one when I am about to feint that I get tunnel vision where it looks like I am looking down a tunnel, and it is hard to go down on one knee (what you are meant to do to get blood pressure back) when about to feint. It's also very frustrating not being able to move the slightest even when not 100%

  • @Chaos3140 indeed it can but an attentive soldier should be able to feel when somethings wrong. Also any competent officer would also prefer a soldier do a quick squat or taking a quick knee to get the blood back rather than keeling over and cracking your head on the tarmac (never good even with a kevlar helmet on).

  • @8linck8 I've stood still at attention for longest.... An hour and a half, I think. That was for a medals parade.

When I fainted I was in Afghanistan, 40 degree heat, standing on parade & being Scottish.... It didn't really come together very well. Haha.

  • Valsalva effect

  • what you mean don't lock your knees can some 1 explain to me what happen to this guy

  • @The213LosAngeles323 When you lock up your knees (straighten them out so your knees lock up) the knees can get jammed. That's why he fell...

  • @holkemann

so does it depend how long you maintain that position or what because I'm still kinda confuse why did he stumbled to the round like if he was dizzy

  • @The213LosAngeles323 Yeah, never experienced it myself. Search on Google.

I believe they lock up, and you kind of pass out.

  • when i was in cadets this dude was like 6'3 and he locked his knees it was like a tower falling over

  • Haha! I get it. Is it true though?

  • @narutorasengan162 yeah.lol

  • The fuck happened?

  • Noob. Pay attention to yourself and if you feel yourself getting dizzy at least crouch for a few quick seconds to get the blood back in your head instead of keeling over like a zombie after a bottle of tequila.

  • @SODEMO2007 Your calling a soldier a noob from behind a computer screen, just because he fainted in what looks like afghanistan heat, with the full gear including his helmet and probably having had to have stood there for over 15-20 minutes (Depending) without even moving a muscle but your toes? Real tough, he had guts not to go down until the very last second when he fainted, more of a man than you would ever be, calling a soldier a noob from behind the computer screen.

    Good day.

  • @Chaos3140 I've been in the army myself dipshit. Passing out like an idiot when at attention disgraces your whole platoon. There are simple steps you can take if youre about to faint and he didn't. "He had guts not to go down until the very last second when he fainted" That made me laugh.

Good fucking day to you too.

  • @SODEMO2007 I agree. In addition to keeping your knees slightly bent, I was taught to gently and slightly wobble my legs back and forth (basically unnoticeable) to keep the blood flowing. Still, I was on the color guard and after standing at attention for over half an hour (probably over 45 minutes), I nearly lost it myself. I remember how heavy my jaw was as I whispered that everything was starting to look red. Fortunately, I was relieved before passing out.

  • Man down!

  • The walking dead

  • wow i've been in the sun for hours standing walking and that has never happend u guys just cant hack the sun too long

  • @AdamRs5 were you wearing full body armour and a helmet

  • During our company comander's inspection at MCRD, San Diego, one recruit locked his knees while we were standing at parade rest. The inevitible happened and he passed out, pissed himself and tore a hole in his trousers. The funniest part about this is that you have to wear your service Alphas for Company Comander's inspection. I believe that platoon was actually later IT'd in their uniforms as well for the incident... But I'm not positive.

  • Can somebody explain what happend????

  • @NLterror6000 when you lock your knees you cut off blood flow. Military Personel stand at attention for extended periods of time. They can get dizzy and faint, if they lock their knees.

  • @NLterror6000 if you stand in the sun for a long time especilly with armor and you dont bend your knees blood dose not go thrugh your brian

  • I saw this more times than I can count during my time in the service. Watched a E-3 female fall flat on her face.

  • Every Navy boot camp graduation has a few people falling out because they lock their knees. Ask a new sailor why and also what a "bodysnatcher" is. =P

  • stand straight up and dont bend ur knees, just "lock" them youll know what i mean if you know how to stand at attention, basically try to think your doing it right but actually ull be doing it way wrong!

  • Hah, it's the exact same way in marching band. Except, in my case, I'm carrying a drum.

  • How long does it take with your knees locked before you get woozy etc.

  • @GirlGamerReallywild It varies per person.

  • Almost happened to me at 29 Palms. I remember standing in formation getting woozy and started leaning back but collected my self and controlled my breathing but after the formation I went to go get an IV lol. It was a command switch over as well.

  • This almost happened to me at a DEP meeting last month. (i actually talked about it in one of my videos... =/ .)

  • he justfainted from the heat...

  • Comment removed

  • @nCeeHD pass out. you lose blood flow to the brain.

  • what is locking your knee mean?

  • @AznSwat when your standing with your legs fully extended

  • at grad a marine behine me lost a few teeth to this

  • whoa..did he go back and then someone pushed him forward? its like he had no control over his body :P

  • I know someone who flat out blacked out, he didn't go down as hard as he could have if he went straight backwards

  • atleast he didn't go down as hard as i've seen some people, and there were people trying to help him before he ate the pavement lol

  • Wow, they tells us that all the time in AFJROTC.

  • @rockstarjoshps3 were u from

  • @rockstarjoshps3 Cool im in MCJROTC

  • if you dont want to faint how are you suppost to be in that kind of position for so long?

  • @Angelnot95 when you lock your knees it stops blood from flowing through. after a while it gets ya and this is the result so you just keep straight but don't lock the knees.

  • Whats "locking your knees"?

  • @richay1 Standing straight, so that your knees are locked...

  • @FacistPikl So it feels like the go slightly back?

  • @richay1 You lose feeling in your knees first, and about ten seconds (varies by person) you pass out, and hit the ground. It does not feel very good.

  • @FacistPikl Huh, ya learn something new every day.

  • i lock my knees all the time, done it for 3 hours

  • @lSPlKylelSRSl Try it in heavy clothing, boots and gear

  • @24Rorschach ive done it in my cadet uniform holding a parka because it was so hot, i had a first aid kit in 3 of my pockets each weighing 3 pounds, boots dont matter because your putting your weight on them but they are pretty light-weight. i traded my old 3 pound boots for 1 pound boots

  • Locking your knees pinches the Femoral artery and the Great Saphenous vein in your leg. 'Nuff said.

  • not to fun when no one yells trust fall

  • Just like what the Gunney says in NJROTC.

  • He looks like he's afraid of the flag Lol.

but I've seen this happen in my AFJROTC this dude locked his knees then he just dropped down on the floor, we were practicing the Roll Call(parade)......My reaction was like "OUCH!" and that was'nt funny he bagged his head, he was lucky it was inside the gym it wasn't a very solid ground.

  • MEDIC!

  • In college marching band we got to do game 3 of the World Series. I played tuba so we were behind everybody else. After our show we had to stay at attention through many dignitary introductions, a long National Anthem from a "star" and so on. We were in wool uniforms and in the sun. We had been warned not to lock our knees many times and our Major took us from attention to rest many times. Nevertheless, seeing from the back we could see one start teetering, then falling. Had 5 hit the ground.

  • HAHA oh man! poor guy

  • He just wanted to give the flag bearer a hug.

  • I have spent many times on the Parade Field at position of a attentions, never lock the knees. Happy Veterans Day to all Veterans.

  • what does locking ur knees mean

  • @BeAnBeAn22 At the position of attention, most people have the habit of making their knees lock up (get tense). When you do that, all the blood circulation in your legs stop, causing you to go limp and pass out.

  • we just had a veterans day ceremony for Jrotc for my entire school, one of my friends completely fell over because he locked his knees, even when they told him not to

  • nvm thats a female.. not he

  • yes that was funny lol.. Im suprised he actually went back then forward

  • @7sunsetmaro7 thats what my friend did, its what happens when you stand for a long time and then start to pass out

  • lol wow i feel so sorry for that guy but this is too funny

  • I watched this happen 3 or 4 times in a row while practicing for the grad ceremony at Marine Corps OCS in Quantico. They must've told us a thousand times, "DO NOT LOCK YOUR KNEES". Those candidates were probably looking at butterflies instead of listening, hence why I watched them all crack their skulls on the parade deck. CRACK!! Semper Fi, Happy Veterans Day.

  • fuckin hilarious, what a d bag

  • LOL I love how the guy with the flag just looks at him.

  • ho do u lock ur nees

  • @smpowned not sure guess its some kinda figure of speech doesnt look possible but look at the top comment tho

  • im never locking my knees again

  • this is why they call it pass out parade. like the comment above says

  • Locked my knees at a demobilization ceremony... Last four speakers finished in five minutes lol! Everyone said I saved them... Sure the hell didn't feel like it!

  • I locked my legs in JROTC and I came straight down on my face, busted my chin open and had to get stitches lol

  • hahahahahahahahahahah i love it

  • I had a guy in the element behind me drop on me once at my CC's promotion. I think I've seen this on 4 separate occasions

  • i fuckin love it when people drop

  • lol i never knew that hapened

  • lmfao

  • I learned something today.

  • SNIPER.

  • OMFG this was hilarious

  • I am sorry, by locking ur knees, u mean not to have the inner part of ur knees not touching each other...

  • God I hate that..I have no idea if there's any difference in discipline or anything in the army but taking ROTC in middle school i watched about 5 people do that. And I mean...it's funny. But it sucks.. I will be enlisting very soon and sure as hell hope I don't see any more of this.
