@thelumbahjack We are not allowed to keep the whole fish cause of permit issues. We wish we could keep the fish intact but sometimes your not "allowed"to do the right thing.

@es2dante Dude we are only allowed to sell monk tails. The limit is a 10% bycatch. So if we land 18000 lbs we are only allowed by law "for our permit" 1800 lbs. The quota is done by permit. Every boat is different.

@es2dante our permit allows 10% of our total scallop weight in tails from a closed area, and as much as we catch on an open bottom trip, in tails. we could keep the livers, however they are not sought after from us since we are out too long
