  • americans dont understand anything about clay courts

  • safin's backhand is the greatest backhand !

  • Seth Rogen commentating

  • Two of the most underrated players ever. Awesome match

  • i dun see what andyfan69201 is bitchin about

roddick's performance on clay is hardly top 10 material, at best barely top 20

safin won this match in three straight sets, roddick, despite having a superior head to head, was owned in this match

  • 5:10 is probably the best shot I have ever seen from marat..that was pretty spectacular..

  • Marat Safin has a huge serve, better than that of Roddick. His serve is hugely underestimated but it's right up there with Sampras

  • Kafelnikov got fat....

  • i miss him so much, tennis is not the same without him

  • quite annoying. Is this a highlight of the match or only the points safin won? Roddick owns safin. Roddick won last 4 of 5 meetings. At least show some of Andy's good shots. Booo.

  • @andyfan69201 haha, Marat won more significant titles, before the age of 25 even though he struggled with injuries in 2001 and serious injury with his wrist in 2003. The only reason Roddick (struggled) to beat Marat at the 2007 AO is because Marat was a shadow of his former self post knee injury in 2005, even in this match, his movement completely laboured.

  • @andyfan69201 Marat will always be seen as much greater than Roddick, beating the two greatest in a slam final and semi final, Roddick could never beat Federer when it really mattered. Roddick is just fortunate to have had an injury free career.

  • @MaratSafinVideos well, just because andy hasn´t had any major injuries, doesn´t mean he hasn´t had his injuries during the course of his career, which he has had..

  • Agreed, people really forget what a beast Safin was in his prime, he was never the same after 2005

  • @andyfan69201 the channel is called maratsafin videos

  • @andyfan69201 safin is a much more talented player.

  • @andyfan69201 Haha I think it's because of safin's playing style. If he's on his game, then most points result in him hitting winners or unforced errors, so he gets most of the footage in the highlight reels, even if the match is close. It's kind of like Dolgopolov

  • @weej267 I didn't edit this video, for starters. Roddick didn't have many highlights in this match, it's as simple as that. Can you imagine a Roddick highlight reel now, where in some best of 3 set matches he only hits 4 winners off the ground? And no, Roddick is not an underrated player and neither is Safin. Safin is a far superior talent to Roddick, though. Despite being plagued with injury he still managed to do win more big titles all before the age of 25.

  • @MaratSafinVideos Um...I don't think you understood my last comments. I think safin is a great player, that's why I say he's underrated, because most people don't think of him as one of the best of the last decade. Also, I never claimed you edited it, and I never criticized the lack of Roddick footage. All i was saying is that, when safin is on his game, he dictates the points, so he'll get most of the highlight reel. why you are so quick to jump to the conclusion that people r attacking you?

  • @weej267 I don't know who you've been talking to but everybody regards him as one of the best of the 2000's.

  • @MaratSafinVideos well at least it seems you realized your crazy rant was unwarranted. and I guess we can just disagree on that point. Most of the people I talk to, when naming the great recent players, will rarely name safin.

  • @weej267 crazy rant? Care to point out what was so crazy, Mr. Over-sensitive? Well then, you've been talking to people who obviously haven't a clue about the sport. Most respectable people believe that Safin is one of the most talented players to ever hold a racket but had a terrible amount of injury problems, was a headcase during the best of times and at some point or another wasn't completely focused on tennis. People also overlook the fact that men his size don't generally excel at the top.

  • @MaratSafinVideos hahaha you're so easy to tease around, "mr over-sensitive". and you need to figure out what overrated means. overrated almost always refers to public opinion, not the experts on the sport. but we can agree to disagree on that too. I think it's funny you won't admit you were wrong tho. I never said anything about you editing the footage or having a safin bias in such editing, both things you implied in your response. But I guess I can't expect everyone to be humble eh!? : )

  • @weej267 I actually just lol'd a little bit, I knew it before but bloody hell, you definitely are a bit of a weirdo lmao.

Public opinion? Go on to any tennis internet forum and Marat Safin will be included in the best players of the last 10 years, so again, I have no idea what you're talking about. It's kind of factual that Safin is one of the best players of the last 10 years, that's not me being biased. When did you start watching tennis, yesterday?

  • 4:54 to 5:10 amazing

  • How about the point startin at 9:23? Point of the match perhaps, unreal hitting and hustling from both guys. Safin was just on fire in this match!

  • fantastic point from 4:54 to 5:01
