Its the only one you have got so treat it positively and it will love you for this. Remember a positive environment is better than this worlds riches. Do positive, be positive and positive things will happen to you. Love.... Peace....

  • This song is a very good reminder of how far we are from being as one people, you know one nation under ah groove...........Maybe i should cover it.

  • I came here for a song but found one of the most well-written, moving descriptions of a song. My heart raced as I read it. The song played in my head and I savored it all through. Wow. You are a bona fide lover of this song and I love it even more now for that reason.

    Thank you, my friend.

  • this song was the soundtrack to my seventies childhood! in south L.A. this song could be heard anywhere! on kday and KGFJ! radio and it was hot summer days you heard this song or a least i did! thanks so much for posting it!

  • crooklyn brought me here lol.. jk in addition i have always loved this song when the movie came on. this is GOOD REAL MUSIC and this is coming from a 19 year old >. with an old soul

  • My soul lifts when I hear this. Im a 90's baby but I love this music. Not really into this crack and drug talk we have now a days.

  • I wanna say that I wasn't born yet when this song came out but I knew about it when I was just a little itty bitty in the 70s. I loved your video for this song my friend. I had to post it on my Facebook page as my tribute to Don Cornelius. My #1 favorite Stylistics song of all-time. Lovely post my friend.

  • Love your video. I miss the 70's soul music. I was in 9th grade when this song released. Growing up in Motown area this kind of music was so awesome.

  • 1972.... Third Avenue.... New York City... early summer: the muggy days and nights on the sidewalk... the sweet, acrid smell of burnt lead in the air.... driving out to the beach, windows open, and the radio playing this incredible song....

  • yes real music 4 real music lovers... Tjam*

  • I miss great music. thanks for the wonderful people who put this very fine music on youtube. SOLID

  • Being from Philly and growing up during the 70's it was very special to listen to groups like the Stylistics, Delfonics, Blue Magic, Chi-Lites, Manhattans, Dells, Blue Notes, O'Jays man I don't want to leave anyone out but there were so so many that it makes today's stuff look pitiful by comparison.

  • @menopausalguitarist I never disliked this song from when i first heard it

  • Thanx for uploadin this

  • quite good analysis of this gem. takes the mundane and lifts it to obscure, expansive corners, far from its seemingly simple platform of the everyday.

  • I was born in 1994 so I dont know much about this era of music, but I wish I experienced this instead of the music of today, I guess you can say in Old School in the New School

  • @lilkiddballer listen to these great artists, expand your reality, you have everything to gain, and nothing to lose!

  • always been a great song, and your videos were exceptional..thank you

  • That is a great song! Thank you for posting.

  • 17 people still think the world is flat....

  • Love this song. I am not even 70's child. The song should go Black people make the world go round, Honkies make the world go down.

  • The movie "Crooklyn" is a classic! I love that movie & couldn't rest until i purchased it. Only now I have to get it on dvd. That's some good family entertainment!!!!!!!!!!! "People Make The World Go Round"

  • of cousr love the song tht's why i played it but who and where is the brother popping i hope he's doing well cause he has a unique gift loved it

  • This song and its lyrics are as pertinent in 2011, as they were when released. You know like "What's Goin' On" Marvin Gaye...everlasting music and message joined together in absolute perfection.

  • @bransonbelle Amen. I've used "What's Goin' On" in various mixes...It's so damn deep, personal and full of humanity.

  • I always get chills around the time when the flute comes in.

  • Who could dislike this???

  • What can I say... this is my time, my music... and it still sounds so sweet, don't you agree? It's amazing how songs like this and others done during my youth are still so relevant in 2011! We are not progressing as a people, we are still having the same struggles, people make the world go round but when are we going to start healing this world?

  • AS LONG AS GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T ANYMORE.

  • I think this set the stylistics apart from many, Innovation, and honesty

To all cultures, they went out of the box, and a good think to boot.

  • DAMN!!! This was when music was MUSIC! Not only were they talented singers and musicians they also had something to say. Not like the BS that's all over the radio today.

  • @qqrk1372 C'mon man. not ALL todays music is bad....just 90% of it.

  • @tsyu7 With Beiber, The Jonas Bros, and Kesha I'd say at least 95%! LOL

  • @tsyu7 On a sad but serious note... I can't even think of anyone out today who could genuinely be considered a SOUL singer. I could listen to Marvin Gaye's "Trouble Man" night and day! youtube.com/watch?v=Usl-h5f-8W0

  • Wow!! Never expected the gorgeous Barbie girls at the end. . . ♥

  • pure magic.....!!!!

  • I love this song thank u!!!!!

  • MASTERPIECE

  • 624 comments, and not one soul mentioned the godlike cover by Jerry Garcia & Merl Saunders. Especially at the end of La La, when they segue into that song. I mean, it's like sex with a woman made of hot chocolate, and you're the marshmallow melting slowly.

  • gangstas make the world go round - westside connection

  • Beautiful song with a message. Still applies today. The thing that is sad that we (the USA) are trying hard to comply with pollution and factory smoke while the Chinese could give a shit and still do today. SAD, SAD, SAD!!!!! In PEACE and LOVE!!!! Sonny

  • the talent is going in a different direction. At some point all will settle and we'll get back to the style of music we can all appreciate.

  • gotta love TSOP

  • People Make The World Go Round... Peace 2 All!

  • love this song

  • crooklyn brought me here lol

  • One can only get your depth of understanding of this music by loving it as deeply. Whoever you are, you have me as a fan and close observer. Very impressive. I am subscribing. Interested in your opinions on the sampling of these great songs in hiphop today

  • Started in Philly....over flowed to Louisiana...loved this group and their sound.

    Thanks for the beautiful memories.

  • this brings me back to the old days, watching croocklyn!!

  • Good Jam this is so true People do make the world go round

  • I am an 80's baby but my mom use to listen to this cleaning on the weekend

  • @wallacerobertson3268 That is amazing because that is what I am doing right now:cleaning on the weekend! Music is fun to do work too!

  • tHAT'S WHAT i'M TALKING ABOUT!!!

  • perfect OPENING FOR CROOKLYN ;D !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Turn it up!!!

  • I'm rediscovering acts like The Dramatics, The Main Ingredient, Chi-Lites, Spinners, Delfonics, New Birth, Staples, Blackbyrds, Undisputed Truth, Young Holt Unlimited, Lost Generation, Beginning of the End, Willie Hutch, Timmy Thomas, Three Degrees, Billy Paul, Jerry Butler, The Dells, Intruders, Four Tops and O'Jays just to name a few. Never thought about how talented these brothers and sisters were at the time. We just took them for granted and won't do that again. Fantastic post.

  • Fantastic!!! At the time, we didn't realize what this song meant....As I've gotten older, I really appreciate the hell out of it....

  • People like me on my lap top at the public library, listening to this and other music over my head phones....that's what makes the world go round.

  • timeless song

  • Remarkable timeless music. This is the opening soundtrack to the Spike Lee film Crooklyn. It is the best opening film sequence I have seen since whenever. The music creates a great atmosphere and draws you in to an interactive of urban playground of double dutch hopscotch and street rows.

  • I dig it, I dug it, cant tell ou how many times i have listened to it, Still hate that pic of Bush and his mongolid idiot wife Laura. Most dispised family in my life.

  • i went to a concert at the houston astrodome an saw them a very good concert

  • Thanks for posting this! Love the montage and the sounds :-)

  • Thom Bell is one of the most underrated songwriters and producers in the 1970's. If you look up all the music he is responsible for, you will see what I mean.

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO!!!!!!! Thank You!!!! In PEACE and LOVE!!!! Sonny

  • REAL MUSICIANS.....the guitar, vibe & flute work is so classic. Where have all the real musicians gone?!?!?! The chimes in the intro with the organ & strings....can't be be duplicated with a machine.....thx for posting.

  • what i wanna know is, who are the 15 people who dislike this song?!

  • nice video.

  • one of my all time favs. no doubt!!

  • @TIBBSY 5

great song, and you also did a great job with the Video.

  • amazing lost classic!! never hear this on the radio anymore, but oh yes you'll hear the same ol ccr song or whatever (no slight to ccr)..i hate radio, and this from a former dj

  • THIS SONG IS TIMELESS, LOOK AT HOW IT RELATES TO 2011! CRAZY! SOME SHIT NEVER GOES OUTTA STYLE! KILLUMINATI!

  • what a sweet tune! love the prolonged ending...

  • 14 people arent making the world go round right now!

  • 14 people aren't people who make the world go round

  • My opinion this song is the best of many hits.

  • This has got to be on of the smoothest songs of all time. I fell in love with it when Crooklyn was released in 1994 and I haven't looked back.

  • I love this song omg this brings me back to my childhood. Mom cooking on Sundays and we are listening to oldie but goodies....73 rules

  • Beautiful music

  • Mπραβο ρε Ατακτε ειχα καιρο να το ακουσω

  • One of my all-time favs!!! This was music...not this, whatever you want to call what they make today! Those were the days!

  • 14 people trying to stop the world from going round. Failing miserably.

  • Creating music is the a great gift from God. Not all people understand how to create wonderful style of music. I wish this young generation understand style instead of being a copy cat thug or whatever it is they think their are.

  • THIS WAS THE ERA OF GREAT MUSIC.

  • This is one of my favorite cut from the stylistics, I had their whole album, along with GQ and Luther Vandross I'm n heaven.... this fan truly miss all u guys....can't forget Mavin Gaye and Tammi Terrell

  • People Make The World Go Round Peace!

  • I have the Album with this song on it, those were better day than we have now, so we can clearly see the world is in decline, it even show up in the type of music. There was a time I would have even watched the Eurovision contest, now I know in advance it's all about a bunch of tallentless fools making a lot of noise.

  • CROOKLYN!

  • @sistermadlyus Classic.

  • Style List Terrific

  • gangstas make the world go rounnnd

  • @Lene6733 What the hell ? 90's were a great time w/ good music, movies & shows. Have to disagree w/ you there. The 2000's SUCKED ASS !!! lol

  • @chakazulu87 Not saying the 90's sucked being born around that time does, because now at 19 when i turn on the radio all i hear is complete trash.

  • @Lene6733 You mean 2000 music sucks ? cause that's ALL I hear on the radio, the seldom times I do actually listen to it. lol

  • Summer time in east L.A. I stayed in touble lol. Living in Texas now a totally different person.

  • Timeless. Message still applies today.

  • Love this song. Like what you did with Janet's video The way love goes. Good job.

  • What A DOPE Song. Crooklyn, The Bronx, East Harlem, West Harlem, Staten Island, Queens, Philly, Jersey. East Coast. Was a Happenin' time when I was growing up. Everything was comin' to Life in the Concrete Jungle. What's Goin' On, SuperFly, Across 110th St., I could go on & on but what GREAT memories....Yea! It be Sweet to go back in time for a day...

  • Why not bring the 70s back in music. Thanks for this little bit of the pass.

  • The 70s were the good old days. Hip huggers, bell bottoms and Afros. And the best music of all time. I wish I could turn back the hands of time.

  • Wonderful footage for a beautiful song. It transcends the ages. Thanks for this!

  • Amazing Old Skool Jam. This is so true today!

  • Stylistics. . .a big influence in my music career!! awesome presentation!
