  • Lucky that the horse got away with only scratches my sisters horse did something simular and broke his elbow and that dident end good.

  • That's actually not bad at all, you were very lucky!

  • That looks painful for the horses.... I hope they are all healed!! I'm glad the horse is ok!

  • a horse at my yard did that, but she puncture her stomach and inch away from her heart & an inch away from her abdoman. luckily shes mad a full recovery & has recently been back out in the field :) yay for aria!

hope your horse was okay :)

  • a horse onethat at my yard, lol , and he wasonly two..when nutts with the rug on. hes ok though.

  • OUCH! Poor boy... sometimes they do the silliest things

  • Oh wow, that's a bummer! I'm glad he's better now!

My shire/saddlebred gelding RAN THROUGH a similar gate after a really bad spook (stupid dog) and completely mangled the gate. There isn't a straight section of metal on it anymore, and he never got a scratch. Go figure! :(

  • at the farm i ride at, 3 of the horses there were trained to during the winter have their owner open the gate, and they come run up to the barn so he dosn't have to pull the out from the back of the extremely large pasture and across the river. and now a few weeks ago, they just ran right through the electric fence, shocking themselves. one was already lame and started limping worse on the way to the barn, and they almost trampled me as i was taking the tack to the tack room.

  • :S

    Poor baby!!

My horse has'nt run into a gate. :S but he pulled a gate off the hinges! My 18hh baby was tied to a gate and he freaked, jumpd backwards and off came the gate! :S I swear I had a heart attack.

Then a horse i used to lease, got scared and went to go jump the solid fence and hit the post with her chest and almost went flying over the thing head first..

  • poor horse

  • aww poor horses! im really glad you cleaned them up though =D

  • hes very pretty ur lucky that the cuts didnt get infected:)

  • man poor guy tore himself up pretty good. glad you guys could lead him to a full recovery

  • I AM NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN but they cuts at 0:34 look really cool.. it wouldlook like paint markings if it was white

  • My horse does this all the time.

    I love me retard though.

    :D

  • @horsegaldressage yep, i know what you mean, you've got to love your own retard :)

  • Glad he/she is doing better :)

  • Looks like you guys cleaned up your wounds very well. I hate when ppl leave them without treatment then wonder why the horses are not healing and getting infections. They will do fine in the future!

  • yep!! the vets gave us some really good smelling blue stuff!! lol you cant even tell on him anymore that he tried to jump that :)

  • My pony ran straight into a metal chain that was keeping him in the yard while I groomed him but let him free roam, he got a fright and just lunged forward.

He beant the metal clip, its amazing, the strength of horses !

  • Ouch! Looks painful for your horse. Hope he is okay!

  • my horse spooked and ran into a gate, she was scratched up so bad having landed on bitumen and gravel. Your poor baby

  • ughh.. sorry for that.. glad your horse is ok :)))

  • OMG!!!That would scare me so much!!! But you can so tell there's just a whole lotta different horses coming up on the screen!!!!

  • what? the first picture was of my other horse oliver by the gate but the rest were of my chestnut rocky

  • my horse did that but she is only 13.2 hh and the gate was a lot lot bigger but thankfully she wasnt as bad as the gate. all may had was a long cut on her back leg and very lame but she was back in work the next week so i know how you feal. but i hope he learnt his lesson and wont try that again

  • aww thats good!! yeah so do i hes getting a little bit old now so i want the last year or so of his jumping to be good so i do hope he does not try that move again :)

  • my horse struck out at my other horse and her leg went through the fence but she pulled it out easy and only had a little scratch...it scared me so much.......right after she won me another belt buckle too.

  • oh wow!! that would scare me too! and right after you got another belt buckle im soo glad that she did not get hurt!! my pony was pauling at the stall and cut her fetlock right open and had to have 2 months off for it to heal and get stiches...

  • ya i was like thank you lord......im glad your horse came back......thoughs stifles are a pain in the butt.

  • poor thing how bad was he B4 he healed over? 8^(

  • well at first the vets said that he was fine that he just got all scraped up, so i jumped him and all... one day after jumping a course he got lame and we got x-rays and he had pulled it and he had some hoof trouble in his front left at the same time and his stifle was the hind right so he was a bit off balance..... :)

  • omg!! my riding instructors show hors eid dthe same thing!!! me and my friend were washing one of the horses when axle (the horse) zapped his nose on the electrics fence and galloped straight into a fence! we were like shouting stop at him but he didnt stop he didnt even try to jump the fence! he broke the fence of course but he was fine :)

  • omg!! that would SCARE me to death!! im sooo glad that he is ok!

  • yes! we where so worried because he is like my instructors top cross country horse, luckily there was an much older rider around and he helped us with axle :D

  • wow that is luck! yea rocky is the main horse at my barn so when he got hurt i was soooo mad at him! lol

  • Owwy thts not not fun! poor thing! hope its ok

  • yep hes fine now :) a few weeks ago he got to ok from the vet to be ridden and right now he is at training :)

  • When I went to go get my horse out of the pasture all the other horses came running out and when they got back were the other pastures were Stealth he's 2or 3 I thibk he ran through the electric fence like it wasn't there. Luckly no one was hurt. Plus this was at the ranch I go to. But I was with my friends so they couaght all the horses.

That fence looked like it had it. great vid

  • well that is good that you caught them =-) thanks!

  • it is your welcome

  • sorry I was on another acount. it was my mom's. but I am a teen so. were good right

  • I went over to my friends house one time and she had a 2 year old stallion in the other pasture and we put my mare in the other pasture so they would not breed and her horse decided he was gonna jump the fence, it was alot higher than yours and all he did was cut a little of his belly up, but then later that day when I was riding my horse he jumped the fecne again, destroying a t-post and was chasing me and my mare around aggresively, finaly we could get them seperated befor he hurt her or me.

  • oh wow! glad your ok =-)

  • Ya, thanks lol =]

  • aww poor horse =[

  • well it could of been alot worse ! im glad hes ok now

  • yea im glad it that the gate was not steel. that would have been really bad! =-(

  • aww poor guy :(

theres this horse at our barn (old grand prix horse) my friend bought him and she turned him out[we have a runway then it leads into 2 fields, the boys and the girls.] the gates were closed and the fence is about 4 feet high. my friend wlked over to the gate turned around to see where her horse was, turns out her horse was just troting up to the 4 foot fene and decided to jump it. He didnt feel like waiting for her to open the gate xD

hope your guy is better soon!

  • cool story =-) the marks in the ground where cantering. He is doing a lot better =-) thanks for the comment =-)

  • 5/5 poor horse

  • i understand your fear my pony ran into a wooden fence and had a 3 in piece of wood stuck her her shoulder junction

  • Oh my! that is horrible. Is she ok?

  • Well, she was off for a half of a year then she had a full recovery and then she just passed away nov 30th due to an impaction

  • I'm so sorry. =-(

  • wow thats bad but try getting ur front hoof stuck in ur bac leg

  • oh wow. i bet that was pretty bad =-(

  • wow thats scary

  • yea my sister got me out of school to come hold him while the vet looked at him...

  • Aww glad he's okay =) x

  • thanks=-) he had to go to another barn to rest and he jumped out of the gate there too it was 4' 6" but he cleared it =-)

  • Lol silly little man!

I'm glad my horse doesn't do that though, I'd just be worried sick all the time!!

    Good luck anyway =D x

  • i am worried sick!! lol he is in the stall that was built up extra high just for that. At the barn he had to stay out he would put his two front legs on the stall door. =-)
