@drfager01- With a screen name like that I'd have assumed you'd know that many, if not most, trainers aren't asking or expecting a win a horses first time out...especially when you're pretty sure you've a good horse under your belt. You want him to get around and get a feel for things before asking him for anything. A much better measure of any horses true abilities won't be seen until at LEAST his second start--some even prefer waiting a bit longer before sending a potential star out gunning.

Demigod was 20+ to one. I don't know how you can let McCarron go off at 20/1. He only rode in maiden races for very talented horses.
