I wouldn't mind a smaller compact water proof notebook I think you will enjoy the cards Ryan made Haven't had a chance to use it yet I really like the compass reading cards if you get screwed up and have a brain fart
I want to send you a hiking guide card set i made/designed, i think you would like the info on it. it is made on waterproof tear proof paper. it is not a note book like the one in this video. i will send you a sample one to test out and if you like it i can send you out a another one non-sample form. for free of course because i think you of all people will appreciate it. i sent one to medicjimr.
@FixedByDoc Kewl, why dont you do a vid on your card set, and maybe you can start trading people things for them...bartering is a great tool for bushcraft items
@MrCableguyken I was waiting for medicjimr to get back to me with his review of them, and was interested in your oppinion as well. I have an old set I made up as a slide show called Hiking Trip Cards if you want to see them. These new ones are updated & much better. If Jim & you like them then I will put them up for trade. They cost me $12 per log book to make.
@FixedByDoc well send me one this way, and ill check it out, and give ya some feedback....I might have a couple more things I want to send you soon anyways...lol
I got the pens and the size smaller notebooks, I just haven't had a chance to post them on the site. By the way I got the gel fuel to start with the F1, and I got it on film. I will try and post it later.
@canteencorner im gona try to the strike force and see if she will light it. by the way not sure what all you sent me. . . still not home yet. i just had my mom open the package for me! haha
I have the pens and a smaller size of the notebook - I just haven't had the time to post them on the site - by the way I got the gel to start with a firesteel, and I got it on film. I will post it later. Thanks for the thorough review Ken!
@canteencorner Great! post the gel vid as a response to my review on it if you would. I sais that maybe I needed a bigger ferro rod, or do something different. that just makes it perfect in my book.
Excellent review brother! I have quite a few of them that were issued to me and you are 100% correct when you said they sell a write-in-the-rain pen as well. I also got two of those issued. I have seen them in some PX's on military bases for $15......yup...$15 for a pen lol. Anyhow great review man!!!
@sargefaria Thanks Sarge, we didnt have such when I was in service...just regular notebooks that fell to pieces as soon as you needed them. this is definatley one of my favorite pieces of kit now...no worries about damage when its wet out, and i can grid out my PS and map things better.
This was the most thorough review I found on Rite-in-The Rain notebook I found!
Thank you so much for this.
