@xCLOCKWRKx We are the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus, but we accept all kinds of people who can sing and want to sing with us. Not all of us are gay...or men. We all can sing. But even non-singers are encouraged to participate in other ways.
This is incredible!!! The Presbyterian Church has come a long way in the last few years. I actually left my former methodist church for one in Tallahassee, much more progressive outlook. Our pastor (although very much straight), spoke at the Florida capital in protest of amendment 2 (gay marriage ban), and has a picture on his wall of him speaking by a rainbow flag on the capital steps.

Regardless of your claim, those comments *are* homophobic. Saying you're surprised that the choir is allowed in a church is like saying they're not racist and following it up with, "I'm surprised they let black people on golf courses. I'm glad today we can accept terms such as these. Still believe that country clubs are while-exclusive."

That's a beautiful thing to do! Many choirs would not let the ladies join - or non-gay people. This choir does and they sound truly amazing! But people! Why not listen and enjoy?
