  • Mozart would love this, if the queen of night were a comedian, not a wicked queen XD...

  • Kind of sounds like Hyacinth Bucket from "Keeping Up Appearances"

Esilarante!!!

  • I just can't stop laughing and listening to this!

  • hilarious

  • OMG!! That is sooo funny! =) I like it! But when I think of her vocal cords: aow... that hurts...

  • What happend to the world's greatestsoprano from portugal ???

    What was her name ???

  • Mozart would be die again ¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • I'd love to see this.. is it on DVD? But she must have given herself nodules after doing that so often.. it's hard to do like that!

  • so ungraceful

  • LOVELY - but Mme. Jenkins sang it in Italian as "Gli angui d'inferno" (which only adds to the hilarity)

  • very good!

  • very good!

  • is this a joke?!

    ;)

  • FFJ was 'better' in reall life of course but this is a great attempt to reproduce her. How many of the listeners know of FFJ?

  • toole stimme ! :-)

  • Florence Jenkins had a mental illness; it wasn't anything serious, merely a kind of delusion or inability to see reality (this is something many fabulous rich people have i.e. Michael Jackson) She had exposure to mercury and syphilis. That made her think she was a good opera singer eventhough she was God-awful. So I feel sorry for her

  • o my god

  • Exceptionally well done, love the key changes. This must have been REALLY hard, and I am impressed.

  • Florence Foster Jenkins was one of the world's worst singers - she was also one of the greatest.

Only those who understand, can understand!

  • brava bellisima

  • this is so funny the pianest was in about 20 different keys. nice try but very amusing. the bit at the end where shes screaming is so funny pmsl

  • Nice try, but nowhere near the real thing ô.o ;D

  • Can you do anything original or just poke shit at a 76 year old lady?

  • @100nemesis100

this is a parody and it is well rehearsed. it is the finale of a comedy play. if you watched peter quilter's whole play "glorious!", you'd see that it is an hommage rather than "poking shit at someone". like with the real florence people were cheering, applauding, throwing flowers and celebrating by standing ovations in the end!

  • This is hysterical. An intentional parody on an unintentional parody. Peter Schikele is probably wondering why *he* didn't think of doing this. Piano gymnastics are brilliant! My voice hurts just listening to the end though.

  • Buena imitacion de Florence. A Mozart le hubiera gustado mucho!

  • Excellent. Hysterical even just hearing and not seeing it.

  • widerlich.

  • ich will sterben.

  • The Pianist is a Genius!! How can he change the tonality so fast?

  • I think that this is all prepared before the presentation. After all, it's a show, and it's purpose is make people laugh a lot.

I guess it must be terribly hard for them not to laugh...!!!

It would be hard for me...!!!

    heheheh

  • I wonder if it is all staged. has any one ever cop'd to that? Is there any VIDEO of her from which we can observe her facial expressions?....

  • @TheXenophobeist:

it is the audio recording from a theatre play about florence foster jenkins, combined with still shots from the show/rehearsals. it is not only staged, it is carefully arranged and dilligently rehearsed!

  • @robles146

you get used to it: we did about 100 shows of the play... ;-)

  • But remember...the real Flo Fl Jen said, "They may say I can't sing, but no one can say that I didn't sing." A truer statement was never made!

  • Beautifully rehearsed, the key changes especially.

  • Ohh - she's my new favorite singer! xD

  • I saw this show in Frankfurt; people were in tears laughing! If this show was really funny I imagine I would have died laughing if I had seen the REAL Foster Jenkins taking herself seriously while singing this!

  • bravo for the piano man!!!!!

  • he changed keys when needed. Amazing.

  • haha, poor guy! this is a parody though

  • I'm afraid it's not! :-)

  • it is! the real soprano's recording is around, search for it

  • @Jate0000

true: it's from a theatre play about florence foster jenkins, "glorious!" by peter quilter. this is an audio live recording of the first german production of the play, put to pictures from the rehearsals...

  • 2:00 - 2:06 , se le acaba el aire XD

  • Even more hilarious then Mrs Foster Jenkins herself. The pianist is a genius, and the soprano, I love her.

  • I really hope the dead cannot hear nor see what happens in our world. For the sake of Mozart.

  • your comment made me laugh more than this video, because it's true! haha..

  • Mozart would have LOVED this... :)

  • yeah right....

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! xD!!!!!!!!! I'ts amazing!!!!!!! congratulations for the graet pianist and his patient hahahahahahaha!!!!! LOL xD !!!!!!!

  • my respect to the pianist!

    LOL!

  • fantastic!

  • That's amazingly funny! Is there a video of that somewhere? I would definitely buy it, haha!

  • O M G!!!! ROFLMFAO!!!!!!

  • Oh my goodness! My stomach!! haha!! It hurts!!

You probably have a beautiful voice.. you hide it so well.. O_O It's hilarious how the pianist keeps in pitch with you.

  • wunderbar!

  • This is absolutely brilliant xD .

  • that's the best pianist in the whole damn world. hehehehe

  • He must have absolute pitch!

  • Thanks,

actually, I do have absolute pitch, but I am not even a "real" pianist - let alone, the best in the world...!

I'm an actor, who played the role of Mme. Jenkins' accompanist Cosme McMoon in Peter Quilter's play 'Glorious'. At least, I made up all these twist and turns and all the wrong notes, which means: the bad singing is quite well rehearsed and Doris did a great job on it!

  • You did a great job - and it gave me so much tummy exercise! :D particularly when I have absolute pitch too and I am learning this song atm. ;-)

  • BUH HUH!!!!!!! That was amazing!!!!!!

  • oh god~

    let me die!!!
