  • I greately admire Sir Colin as a musician and person. I was so honored to work with him at Tanglewood in 1980 rehearsing Brahms 3rd Symphony. Will never forget it!

  • He is one of the conductors I love the most. His interpretations are sooo intresting, musical and always feel right. One of the best performers of Mozart's Requiem.

  • Great conductor, no doubt.

  • Sir Colin Davis has made so many wonderful recordings in his distinguished career. I regret that I have never seen him conduct live. I don't recall his ever conducting on the US west coast. I cherish his recordings of Sibelius with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and Berlioz and Elgar with the London Symphony Orchestra. I wish that I could personally thank him for all the joy he has brought into my life via his recordings.

  • Surely the most under-valued great conductor of our time? Who is better at Mozart opera? Who is better at Berlios? Sibelius?
