Even the 3 games the Giants beat them they were still in the game. Really, they should have swept the Giants. A blown call at second base helped to prevent them from winning game one. They won game 2. In game 3, Brooks Conrad made 3 errors and they were STILL in the game. Game 4, the pitching at the end wasn't that good.
@Skyfilledfire85 The Phillies are lucky. I'm not even sure they truly earned the division crown. If it weren't for key injuries and that 9 game goof up the Braves had in April, the Phillies could not have even dreamt of catching up with the Braves.
I hope the Giants and Rangers do baseball a favor and wallop the Yankees and the Phillies.
@djtrumpet11 If the season ended at the All-Star game then the Braves would have deserved to make the playoffs. Their play from the All-Star game on was terrible. The last two series with the Phillies were a joke. The division was on the line for both teams in a head-to-head contest. Atlanta was swept in Philly, and ALMOST swept in Atlanta by a second-string Philadelphia team. Don't mistake talent for being "lucky" boy. You're wrong about injuries too BRAH.

For weeks they were without Rollins, Howard, Utley, Polanco, and they STILL finished with the best record in MLB. So, either A. Lay off the hash pipe or B. Learn how to make an argument based on FACTS rather than your biased opinion on how the Braves COULD have one if they didn't totally suck in the stretch run. The Giants won the NLDS by the skin of their teeth because of their solid pitching. FIn.
