Scorpion always had that deep assassin look, this is more of a sumarai look, a nice new take on Scorps...

Because Scorpion is a neutral character, if he gets vengence then you wouldn't see him in the next Mortal Kombat because he doesnt give a fuck about MK, he just wants to avenge his family and clan and will travel any dimension to do so. The immortals come back because well they are not mortals. nobody really "dies" as their souls can be returned. its really just to fight and who ever is "killed" and has to be regenerated loses the battle so to speak. the only mortal who died was as able to return was Lui Kang.
