no problem. i'll be posting a link sometime this season for a new account that my friend (sousacam) and I (tubacam) are making. We are going to combine our videos from most of the games this year and make really cool videos, so keep a look out.
There are options, even in England. Google "Drum Corps United Kingdom," you'll find a website with groups that march like this. Drum corps are organizations that march like you see in this video (called "corps style" in the States) and compete during the summer. You can probably find videos of them on Youtube; the Kidsgrove Scouts are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head, but there are others.
As a sousaphone player myself, I enjoyed this unique perspective from the field with the camera. I could also tell that you play rather simple notes, but do a lot of moving around. Hope to see some more, maybe during basketball season with the pep band.
well this was actually the easiest show we did all year, music wise. i posted the tuba cam from the cotton bowl, which is basically the same show, with just a few modifications if you want to check that one out.
Thanks for shooting at this angle! I dont miss being in marching band, but i do miss gamedays in the Goin' Band. It's nice to see Jones stadium from this 'on the field' perspective again, it takes me back! thanks again! Go Tech!
hey man thats cool. i play tuba and guitar :). yea that show at that game was a blast! i put the camera on this little tripod that i wrapped around my sousaphone by the valves.
Just that show so everyone would see the "pirate" bandanas. The hats were on until we got out there then everyone took their hats off to reveal the bandanas.
but at least band 1 can play :P. no im just kidding some of those really really old sousaphones are dang near impossible to tune. who can't put his feet together? what instrument?
lol, its k, I marched sousa one year in high school. And it's a tbone. 0:12. 3:13. 3:23. 4:52. I'm not going to assume it's the same guy, but yeah. lol
Did you seriously run into that other tuba? Good idea, the tubacam. Looks organized chaos to the ordinary eye, but WE know what's going on, don't we?
