  • Wow, this is good stuff! The Look could rock and to see David Gilbert doin' it is great.

  • I was there with you at the Pizza Co. Dave sang with the Keith Taylor group.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I've been hoping some Rockets footage would appear. Davey is still rocking in heaven.

  • I'm guessing that would be Eddie Money with the deep voice ? Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

  • The guy with the deep voice is Dave Edwards of the Look. The Look were quite popular in Detroit in the 80's. Great voice and rockin' band. Dave Gilbert was Detroit's answer to Robert Plant. The Rockets Rocked!

  • Love it! Love it! Takin Me back!

  • Hey, I use to date Dave when I lived in Hollywood, what happened to him ????!!!!!

  • He died in 2001.

  • Been looking for some Rockets video for awhile, was surprised to find this! I saw them twice in Lansing, one of my fav bands. Where can I find the Rockets Midnight Special clip?

  • I saw the Rockets several times- at Pine knob, Adrian College, opening for John Cougar Mellencamp, and the Rockets stole the whole show!Dave Gilbert and Jim McCarty were super talented people. I also loved Adrenalin with David Gilbert's brother as lead singer.May Dave rest in peace knowing that he isn't forgotten.

  • Wow. Just watched some clips of Dave with The Rockets on Midnight Special. R.I.P. dude.

  • Sure do miss David ... saw some great shows at Jaggers and at the Pizza Company. Even saw him open for Kiss in Nasville TN.
