  • He's from my home state. Hopefully he made the right decision. I dont know any Penn State qb's in the pro's

  • he went 2 my skul...dats my home boy!!!

  • This guy reminds me of Donovan McNabb at the same age...great pickup for Penn State and he will do amazing things for 3 years as their QB

  • @dpinzow i hope he turns out well at qb. if he does we could have a nice year

  • better than pryor....? yeah right?!

  • 1:36 I forgot how good he was for us...

  • HE would not have done that against Phoebus this year. We would have shut him down. Va State CHAMPS 01,02 06&08.

  • we still need WR's tho....

  • yeah we also got the perfect compliments to newsome-- Eric Shrive who is 6 foot 7 offensive tackle and Justin Brown 6 foot 3 receiver

  • I'm SO GLAD we picked this guy up.. Can't wait to see him play

  • how about Pete Caroll and the Boys come to our house in november when the weather helps separate the boys from the men. Lets see USC when they have to travel into bad weather and further than 11 miles from their home stadium.....WE ARE PENN STATE

  • no hes really good but he plays a different kind f game maybe vince young?

  • next tim tebow?

  • type in scott mccummings...hes a qb in massuchusetts whos about tebows size and i think could be the next great college qb

  • im so glad hes comin 2 psu look at what psu has done with running qbs 2005 michael robinson big ten champs orange bowl this year darryl big ten champs rose bowl im really lookin forward 2 him

  • This other guy is a clown Buckeyes lost by a late Pryor fumble. Michigan is now the new Nebraska, so i don't know where a Michigan fan can find the guts to talk shit. No tough guy responses too, it's such a waste of time.

  • **disguise** for the spelling bee champs out here....

  • He looks clumbsy and slow, like a deer caught in the headlights, as he plays nervous, a long term project for sure..

  • Always wondered what coach was meddling with him, surprised JoPa was the rat, i guess he doesnt abide by the gentlemans agreement in the Big 10 on recuiting..

    Fight ON!

  • hes probably not going to run in college

  • Impressive highlights - he's a true QB. Best move Kevin made was decommitting from Michigan and their one-trick-pony, horizontal run oriented spread option offense. It might have worked in the Big East, but teams like Penn State and Ohio State are going to own that offense in the coming years.

  • The only thing Penn State has owned anything since 1986 are a few cereal bowl trophies. Now all of a sudden they're going to own an offense? LMFAO!

  • @RonBurgundee so winning 40 games in 4 yrs is nothing than? and now we have a top rb and qb stephon green and kevin newsome

  • Funny how PSU fans are on his nuts, when they kept saying he would end up at LBer at Michigan. Should be good one though. Wish we could have kept him.

  • Kerry Collins has awkward delivery, but sound mechanics, this kid has neither. Transfer by his soph. year, his style that garners him success at the HS level will never cut it at major college level. Half of the receptions on this highlight are Ints. at D1. JoPa will hit him with his good hip if he thinks that this stlye of play will fly at PSU.

  • hahaha talk is cheap too bad the wolverines are sitting around watching bowlgames instead of playing in them. how did michigan do against OSU and PSU this year...a combined score of 24-88 hahahahaha maybe next year you can go 6-6 and play in the motor city bowl

  • considering the last four years the big ten champs have either been OSU or PSU i'd say it's an apt comparison, moron. michigan fans are gonna end up like notre dame fans, living in the past. too bad, so sad fool

  • Years of hardships (see the 90's buckeye fan, late 90's-2007, PSU fan) will make one salty. I'm glad you've displayed your ignorance by stating "the past 4 years" as if that measures excellence, get a life clown!

  • Typical Michigan fan. Living in the PAST!This year you got your AZZ handed to you 46-17 by PSU. But I don't blame you. The past is all Michigan football has. The present and future is a DISASTER.

  • True story about UM losing to PSU, however you once again left out the fact that your OVERRATED buckeyes got their "AZZ" handed to them by State Penn in their own house! Again, find a valid point or STFU Comi!

  • in other words....PSU handed both yall asses a beat down...go STATE!!!!

  • Last time i checked, Michigan didnt even get a bowl, so go praise richy and try to win at least 30% of your games next year. WE ARE!

  • think again

  • 35-10 buddy. 80-27 over the past 2 seasons. Talk about a beating.

  • 2 wins in 10 years....lets really talk about a BEATING Sis!

  • those were a couple of beatings. dont worry tho, we will be back buddy

  • Devin Gardner is better than Pryor and Newsome. This is a statement of fact not opinion. Gardner is as good a scrambler (#1 in the class by far) as Pryor but has a stronger arm (#1 or #2 in the class, Pryor was #4) and reads coverages better. The Elite 11 people were in awe of his progress and ability. Don't even ask why is he not the number one recruit nationally...first, rankings aren't final and he isn't freakishly big like Pryor(a plus). He's bigger framed than Newsome tho. All are QBS rgr8

  • @welchce "statement of fact not opinion", it sounds totally like an opinion. What has Gardner done to say he's better than Pryor, a QB he probably will never suit up against? Chances are, Bucks are still gonna whip him up like Forcier.

  • @ambelgra

I'm basing it off of what the Elite 11 folks were saying...and regardless of beating osu (which is team dependent) Gardner is further along as a passer than Pryor was at that age and reads coverages better. He has a better feel for the game which is easy to see when you watch him practice. TP looks confused sometimes and Newsome sucks. DG is the best individual of the three

  • A very good player. Good for Penn State for getting him. Right now for the Big Ten teams, the Buckeyes 2009 class is ranked #2 in the country, Michigan is #7, Michigan State is #14, Penn State is #17, and Illinois is #22. Not too bad. The SEC is ranked the best recruiting overall but the Big Ten is 2nd and getting closer.

  • You also have 4 UNDEFEATED SEASONs, we have 6!

    blah blah blah

  • Can't disagree more.. Hargrave is topnotch competition in VA so he is not getting by on overmatched talent. His throwing mechanics are different but so is Kerry Collins! Ron Burgandee is horrendous as well as his attempts at being funny like Leslie Neilson! Weaq! Go back to throwing shoes! Pryor isthe King? Wow.. who's delusional now?

  • Not trying to be funny. Facts are facts, and the fact is The Buckeyes were National Champs in 2002 and have 7 National Titles. PSU only has 2 National Titles.

Delusional? I think not. Don't let the facts get in the way there westy.

Yup, Pryor is the king. He's a manchild amongst qb's so we will see who is who when he lights the NFL on FIRE. My money is on Pryor.

One other thing. It is WEAK, not weaq. Maybe that's the way you learned it at PSU, but the rest of the world spells it WEAK.

  • I will now correct myself. weaQ with a CAPITAL Q. 13-6 Concentrate on now not then! but since you made me..All Time Records

    PSU 20 seasons of 10+wins

    OSU 18 season of 10+wins

National Championships are determined by voters and until that changes I have ZERO respect for the BCS. Case in point, your Fav Team Florida lost to an Unranked team at HOME and is playing for the championship and 3 other teams lost to a top 5 team and are not! Go Big Ten. and Bust the Nuts in Happy Valley!

  • He is going to be great in the Blue and White.

  • hey what do Ohio State and Pot have in common??

    They both smoked in bowls

  • We'll see who's laughing when USC kicks the snot out of Penn State. LMAO.

We figured it would be a PSU fan spouting off about drugs. It's apparent that they know all about them given all the trouble that school has had in the last few years.

Hell, your mascot is not even allowed at the rose bowl because of drinking. Paterno has lost all control over a once respected school.

  • WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA I HATE PENN STATE AND I HATE OHIO STATE even more. Penn State is going to get destroyed by USC and Ohio State does not have a chance against Texas. With the brains behind my comment making fun of OSU obviously im from Michigan u ignorant whore

  • How do you get an Ohio State grad of your porch?

    Pay for the Pizza

Cant wait for Penn State brings back the respect to the BIG TEN that has OSU lost, and apperently Pryor was not the king of PSU or USC now was he?

  • Penn State sucks. Joe Paterno will have this kid messed up like all the others. Terrell Pryor is the king of qb's.

    Go Buckeyes.

  • you suck and your whole buckeye state sucks try not to get blown out again in big game.

  • "you suck and your whole buckeye state sucks

try not to get blown out again in big game."

The Buckeyes were National Champs in 2002 and have 7 National Titles. PSU has 2 National Titles.

Tell us again who sucks? LMFAO!

  • He would have been better off in the Big East or ACC, where its not so physical, has some potential but his throwing motion is weak.

  • Horrible mechanics for a QB, getting by on shear overmatched talent at the high school level. Very similar offense to PSU run at his high school, should be a bonus.

  • what a gem and steal! glad we picked up this guy, and the thing i like is that he'll prolly start as a sophomore when clark leaves but still have a year of learning experience under his belt and i can see him getting better game by game, and season by season!

  • Looks like a great recruit for PSU. Can't wait to see him show up Terrelle Pryor!!

  • you must be joking.

weaker passer then pryor and has no where near the athletic ability or speed to run.

  • Welcome to Penn State, looks like a better thrower than clark or pryor, which is what we need if we're going to keep going with the spread. WE ARE...

  • Newsome to PSU, 3 more years of JoePa, life is good

  • All we need now is a Rose Bowl Victory and then life will be great!

  • Hey Kevin, Welcome to Penn State!

  • can''t wait to see him in Alabama 2010

    dave from ga

  • "hes not as fast and elusive as pryor but is faster and more elusive than clark.."

in other words, a michael robinson carbon copy, which is pretty damn good

  • like robinson on his feet but with a better arm, but in strength and accuracy.

  • Welcome to Penn State.

  • Oh yeah!!! Joe is actually going to have to start a QB for more than 2 years!!! Should mean good things.

  • wow. this guy looks like a carbon copy of Pryor.

  • i was thinkin more of a carbon copy of clark (go figure).. hes not as fast and elusive as pryor but is faster and more elusive than clark.. he could scramble well, has great size and throws the deep and intermediate passes better than pryor and similar to clark

  • Newsome choose Penn State yay I'm so happy!

  • i just talked to his mom, you heard it from me first. newsome is a Lion.

  • I hope 24 hours from now this guy is a Nittany Lion!

  • welcome to penn state

  • happy valley will be a lot happier with this guy.

  • with pat devlin transferring newsome would be a three year starter at Penn state unless redshirted. he would be a beast.

  • He'd look great in the blue and white! Imagine 3 or 4 years of a Robinson/Clark QB at PSU!

  • As JoePa would say...

    "Come to PENNNNNN STTTTTAAAAAAATE"

  • poole dan:

    get a job.

  • jbadidas, take a word from dickrod and GET A LIFE!!

  • Kevin, Penn State needs you now that Devlin is gone the job will be yours after Clarke goes next year.

  • so i totaally think kevin newsome should go to penn state because pat devlin transferred

  • Come to Virginia Tech!!!

  • KEVIN-COME TO PENN STATE!

  • With Michigan basketball, i ahve lots of patience, but I ahve none with Michigan football. So don't be bringing up belien in your defense of dickrod. If Belien was coaching duke, or UCLA, or Kansas, then 10-22 would be unnacceptable in year one. But this is Michigan basketball, so belien gets a free apss and then some. he gets 5 years to turn it around. Not so with dickrod. Dickrod is coaching the Wolverines football team, therefore, he needs to win now or get out

  • News flash dude...even Urban Meyer would look bad if he only had Steve Threet and Nick Sheridan to choose from. The key to the spread is the QB. Once Michigan gets a legit QB they will be fine. If you don't believe me, look at the win against Minnesota. Sheridan played well and Michigan won. In all of Michigan's losses the common denominator is bad QB play (missed receivers and such). Once RichRod gets a spread QB acclimated Michigan will be fine.

  • with all due respect, Michigans problems run much deeper then the QB position. You can't be serious if you think Michigans problems will go away should Forcier or Beaver become the starting QB

  • the win over Minnesota was more then just the great performance from sheridan. the defense held minnesota to 187 total yards and 6 points. It was really the only good game the defense played all season. In the purdue game, Threet played really well, as did the entire offense, and we scored 42 points. but the defense gave up 524 yards and 48 points, and we lost. Our defense is garbage, and Forcier/Beaver won't solve that problem

  • and the defense is not the only problem. What about the abominable o-line? What about dickrod and his entire staffs shitty coaching? Dickrod threw a bunch of inexperienced freshmen on the field even though he didn't ahve to, and worse yet, he jammed the spread option down michigans throats instead of adjusting the offense to fit his personell. Dickord is a terrible ehad coach, and Forcier/Beaver won't be able to fix that.

  • One last thing: Threet was a 4n star prospect and the nations NO.9 rated QB comnig out of highschool. he's a very talented QB, and he played much better then ryan Mallet did last season. Threet was a minor part of Michigans problem at ebst. Besdies, he was only a redshirt freshmen. he'll be a really good QB when he gains experience. I'm cool with Threet, Forcier, or Beaver starting at QB next season, buit no matter who starts, Michigans problems won't be solved. dickrod needs to be fired

  • Sorry Jigga, but not finding a better program than Michigan? Hmmm, how about Ohio State, considering Tressel has pwned you guys for some time now. I dont see that changing this year either.

  • Jigganigga is a fucking cunt. He's in the tank for dickrod, and he holds on to the blind faith that dickrod willa ctually led us to 10 win seasons, victories over Ohio state, and big ten titles

Yeah, right, as if a coach who's led us to a 3-8 recrod is going to do that!

I've been tellnig him and idiots like him that abd news doesn't get better with time, but they don't listen to me

    Go Blue!

  • hahaha look cock sucker, How many wins did Michigan's bball team get last year?? 10. they looked absolutely horrible, and this year? 3-0 with a win over #4 UCLA, IT TAKES TIME!!! you're the most impatient mother fucker in the earth, if you were president, you'd call to bomb every country that looks bad. Grow up buddy! GO BLUE!!!!

  • "How many wins did Michigan's bball team get last year?? 10. they looked absolutely horrible, and this year? 3-0 with a win over #4 UCLA"

nice try, but last years Michigan basketball team had tow legit excuses: 1. they are a moribund program, so they get a free pass (and then some), and 2, unlike Michigan football, last eyars michigan basketball team was impossibly young. Michigan football doesn;'t deserve time like Michigan basketball does, so your argument is bullshit

  • "you're the most impatient mother fucker in the earth"

Oh no. Its not that I'm impatient in everything. I'm just impatient with Michigan football. With Michigan basketball, for example, I'm willinmg to give Beilien until 2012 or 2013 to get his shit together (I'm thinking we'll be a pernial sweet 16 team much sooner then that). But with Michigan football, I ahve no tolerance whatsoever for losing. I have whats called "selective patience." Not impatience

  • he might be going to VaTech you know

  • yea just to tell all u michigan fans, this guy right here, he decommitted to u guys and is prob going to PSU now haha

  • haha...is that what you think? haha....

    Ya fruit cake, haha.....

  • lol that's OLD news buddy, We've got Forcier & Beaver!!

  • newsome is not better then forcier or beaver

  • Michael Shaw ring a bell... He scorned PSU with no time to replace him.

  • who gives a shit about michael shaw... michigan sucks. who loses to toledo??? rich rodriguez is a snake, he'll quit on you guys too.

  • I HIIIIIIIIGHlY doubt that. I can see why he left West Virginia..well because it's West Virgina. You don't just leave a program, and you wont find one better than Michigan. Fuck this year, no one cares. But If Michigan beats OSU, then this year goes from being a HUGE disappointment to a somewhat successful season. Also, Michigan lost A LOT of their games this year that they should have won. Finally Michigan has their offense down and it will be interesting to see how they finish this year.

  • really?

beating a 2 loss team makes a huge disapoitnment into a sucess?

  • Yea? It's about the rivalry, not the number of losses.

  • "Fuck this year, no one cares"

so you are cool with an entire autumn of football just being thrown down the drain?

    Some fan you are

    Go Blue

  • There's two more games to play for, but yea, screw this year. Michigan only played 1 complete game, thankfully Michigan has a great coach, Rich Rodriguez...I'm looking forward in the years to come.

  • Dude, whoc ares about the future if you don't win now?

"you play to win the game!!! hello!! you play to win the game!!!!"-Herman Edwards

Just ask Joe Dumars where plying to WIN NOW got the Deeetroit Pistons. It got us an NBA champiosnhip, 2 straight finals appearaces, and 6 straight eastern conference finals apperances. But ojn the other hand, look at the Detroit Tigers udner Randy Smith: they always were building "towards the futureZ" and they NEVER won!

  • Even the Detroit Lions ahve gotten the memo: "what about right now?! What about right now?!"

At programs like Michigan, you play to win NOW! Not later. Later doesn't matter if you don't win right now. You can get away with "building toward the future" like John beilien is with a moribund Michigan basketball program, but not in football, where the Wolverines ahve the number one program of all time. RR needs to win now or get out, and he;s not winning now, so he needs to GET OUT.

    Go Blue!

  • Yeah, that's a pathetic argument. 1.) this is his first year, with a whole new offense. Just like when Iverson came to the pistons, the pistons struggled for the first 2 games and one quarter. Once HIS players come in then it's fine. But if next year is a losing season, then the AD needs to think about releasing him.

  • "Just like when Iverson came to the pistons, the pistons struggled for the first 2 games and one quarter"

dude, thats 2 games, not a whole season like it has been under DickRod

"this is his first year, with a whole new offense"

I understand that, but new coaches with new offenses and a new culture have had immediate success in eyar one (Spurrier, BO, Meyer in two stops, Stoops). So DickRod should ahve immediate success in year one as well

  • "But if next year is a losing season, then the AD needs to think about releasing him"

thanks for making this ackowledgement. Its appreciated.

Now would you please unblock me? I've haven't given you any shit until you blocked me. I'm not a mindless troll, you know. you ahve sweet videos.

  • "But if next year is a losing season"

next year will be a lsoing season. 5-7 with losses to Notre Dame, a tough non conferecne team like Utah or Oregon, Iowa, Illinois, Wisky or MSU (but not both), Ohio State, and Penn State. We'll get victories over purdue, Indiana, both MAC teams, and either Wisky or MSU (but again, not both). Then dickrod and billy martin will be FIRED, and we can go inhouse and hire someone like Cam Cameron

    Go Blue!

  • Sorry buddy, Rich rod isn't going anywhere and neither is Bill Martin. What a great hire on both bball and football. GO BLUE!

  • "Rich rod isn't going anywhere and neither is Bill Martin"

Yes, they are. Once Michigan has a losing record next seaosn, Martin and Dickrod are GONE, and then we can hire an inhouse coach like Cameron

"What a great hire on both bball and football"

I like the hire of Beielin, but not dickrod. You can't day dickrod was a great hire when he has led Michigan football to its worstr ecord ever and its first losing seaosn since the vietnam war. dickrod=idiot

    Go Blue!

  • lol HAHAHA, Thank you!!! I Guarantee you were saying the same stuff about Michigan's basketball team last year after they only won 10 games, "I like the hire of beielin" Yeah, because They're winning now. Took some time didn't it?

  • " I Guarantee you were saying the same stuff about Michigan's basketball team last year after they only won 10 games"

no I wasn't. I knew last season was gonig to be really bad. i only expected them to win 13 or 14 games. They eneded up winning 10. Lats season was bad, but again: its Michigan basketball. they get a free pass last season and this season as well. I've never been anti-Belien. I've said from the moment he heas hired that we shpould give him until 2012 or 2013

  • "Yeah, because They're winning now. Took some time didn't it?"

and with Wolverines basketball, its gonig to take even more time. As greeat as that win voer UCLA was, I'm, not gonig to say the Wolverines are a tournament team yet. i say we win about 15 games and MAYBE make it to the NIT, but I'm not excetcting an NCAA tournament run until next season, when ever schilarship player is abck except for Javohn Shaephard

Bottom line: Belien deserves time. Dickrod doesn't

  • Also, you can't fault a program for standing by their word. The Boyd kid commited before anyone else, and WVU stood behind their word that they would not recruit another QB. Well, Boyd retracted and in my opinion the Sea's parted for Newsome! It's a no brainer...

  • W V U! There's no doubt that they are having a down year, but trust me. The entire state is behind the football team and if changes need to be made, then they'll be made. If money needs to be paid, it will be! Newsome and Boyd were number 1-2 on WVU's list, and many inside felt like Newsome would have been a better pick. Now, as fate would have it the opportunity is there.

  • Michigan has stopped recruiting newsome. he had a spot and gave it up, forcier stepped in and took that spot and we dont have any room for another quarterback in this class.

  • Kareemthedream IDK about that there should always be room for athletes like these on the team. Have to always think that not every kid is going to start as Quarter Back for teams like Michigan any way. You have to be good enough to earn it so I'm talking elite 11 type QB's vs. whoever wants the job at UM.

  • Newsflash, the ACC is considered to be the worst BCS conference this year, a 4-1 record when you play in the ACC, let's watch UNC play Florida, or Georgia, USC, or how about Alabama!

  • No the Pac-10 is. The only teams that are good in that conference is USC (who are great), Arizona State. You named 3 SEC teams?? Michigan cant even beat those 3 teams in the SEC this year. Besides, Ohio State runs the Big-Ten every year anyways. Plus, if our starting QB was healthy we would be 5-0.

  • Oregon is okay, but their are a couple ACC teams that can beat them.

  • you're both wrong. the worst BCS conference is the Big East. The Big Least had a slight revival in 2006, but otherwise, they've been worse then the Mountain West ever since Miami and VT bolted. the best to worst BCS conferences are:

    1. SEC

    2. Big 12

    3. ACC

    4. Pac 10

    5. Big 10

    6. Big East

  • Poole1Dan you are wrong! WORST WAS BIG 10

last year this is the ranking

No. 1 SEC, No. 2 Pac-10, No. 3 ACC, No. 4 Big East, No. 5 (tie) Big 12 and Big Ten.

  • well, it differs on a year to year basis, but cumulatively over the last 7 seasons or so, the Big East has been the worst conference. I'm not necessarily defending the Big ten, cause the little ten is mediocre as well, but the Big East has got nobody on the level of the SEC or Big 12, and their lwoer tier teams (like syracuse) are total abominations

  • So now youre making a post about the Quote "Last 7 Seasons" which again I find that hard to believe. WVU has beaten the Georgia Bulldogs SEC in 2006 in the Sugar Bowl in Atlanta, Ga then beaten ACC Georgia Tech in the Gator bowl and had Beaten Big 12 Champs Oklahoma. Now WVU is different some Jrs went on to NFL careers but they could have beaten LSU, Florida or others last year just like they won against Oklahoma. I mean if a team beats teams like Georgia and the Sooners you can't say they suck

  • you're talking about WVU dude. Not the big East at large. WVU has been the only consistently good team in the Big East lately, and yet, look at them this season. They are falling apart.

like I said, they ahve some half way decent teams, but with the fall of WVU, they don't ahve any dominant teams, and the bottom level teams suck so bad.

  • Poole WVU has been a excellent & no WVU is not falling apart again several of their players have went into the NFL as JR's also UM now has their coach so yes they're restructuring. I don't believe that WVU is the same team without Slaton. Just like UM isn't the same without Chad Henne. Can you tell me what bowl games the Big Ten won last year? From what I can remember UM was the only one. I think some of our teams are overrated like OSU. South Florida Bulls could beat OSU.

  • well, I'll sucede this debate to you, as I'm not really that knowledgable on the subject. i think we can both agree that the Big Ten and the Big East are not even close to being on the level of the SEC or Big 12

  • Totally agree SEC seems to have a lot of great players from their own states. Also diff style of defense then Big 10. I think UM under Carr has failed dramatically in the recruiting topnotch bluechip FB players with supersonic speed touchdown making abilities on any given play. Ill hope with RR as coach we could get some really talented guys. RR spent time in the south has really good connections with southern recruiters so UM should be right in the thick of things with Bama, FL, Sooners.

  • in the 2000s WVU is 5-0 against SEC teams, including at the end of the 2005 season, WVU beat the SEC champs in the Sugar Bowl....... and the Big East is 19-14 against SEC teams ( not counting this year ), so that doesnt count WVUs beat down of Auburn, so how can the SEC be that much better than the Big East??

  • Right. Abd Michigan is 23-5 all time against SEC teams. just cause one team has a great track record doesn't mean that teams conference is better then the SEC. Your logic is faulty

  • Well, the only stat I can go my is Big East teams against SEC teams heads up.... going in to this year it was 19 to 14 in favor of the Big East, and I know WVU beat Auburn this year, not sure about any other games, so at least 20-14 Big East.... not sure how using facts is faulty logic???

  • The Big East has West Virginia and a resurgent Uconn team, the SEC has Florida, LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Vandy, South carolina, and Mississippi state.

Anybody can see that sec>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>big east

  • I never said the Big East was better than the SEC , Im a WVU fan.... but Im not an idiot, obviously from top to bottom, the SEC is better.......but besides WV and Uconn, South Fla, Pitt, and Louisville are pretty good teams too...... heads up with SEC though Big East has a better record and WVU has won the last 5 games against SEC teams, thats all, so the Big East cant be that much worse......not trying to argue, Im just tired of hearing that the Big East is so weak....

  • well, I'm a michigan fan, so I'm no SEC hack. I think the big East went through a resurgence in 2006, but other then that, the big East has been down ever since Miami, VT, and Boston College bolted. and as a Michigan fan, let me say this: Dickrod's spread option offense might have worked against Big east competition, but it will not work against Big Ten competition. the Big Ten is a mediocre conferecne, but its better then the big east. and the sec is better then both

  • Well, I hope Richy Rich doesnt run your program in the ground...... he is a good coach but thinking the grass is greener on the other side may cost him and Michigan this time.... Be glad ( or sad if you want him to go already ) that there is a buy out clause in his contract or he would be at Clemson next year.....

  • "I hope Richy Rich doesnt run your program in the ground"

thanks for the encouragment. (: I'm pulling for him to revive my Wolverines, but I'm doubting he'll be able to do so

"Be glad ( or sad if you want him to go already )"

yes, iw ant his ass fired. We should ahve hired an inhouse coach instead (like Cam Cameron or Brady Hoke)

And you're right: He would be at Clemosn enxt eyar if not for the buyout clause.

    Fire DickRod, and Go Blue!

  • I hear ya man..... Michigan probably should have found a " Michigan Man " .... not a greedy " Mountain Man " ......lol..... well, I wont fill this kids comment box up anymore with this stuff...... Since you seem to be able to talk about football with some since, I wish you guys luck.....

  • I'll leave you with this: from 2001-2005, both West Virginia and Northwestern were equal in terms of raw talent, and both ran spread option offenses. Yet, NW won only 5 games a season while WVU was a consistent 9 win team. so what gives? Heres' what: northwesrtern is facing stiffer competition then WVU.....much stiffer competition.

  • Poole I wouldn't compare WVU with Northwestern at all very bad comparison I don't think they ran an offense "Just" like WVU. It was really unique with a Dual Heisman QB and RB. So not not equal talent. I think comparing the schedule isn't really telling either. The cats have to prepare for Big Ten foes they're in a major city recruit better players! WVU was prepared for Big East foes like 2003 vs rank 9 Miami, Maryland, Virginia Tech and BC. In 03 WVU was beating Wisconsin till 4th qr.

  • Ohio State, Penn State, pretty much the Big10 is overrated, except for Michigan because we can always compete and play with any team, as we proved against Florida. In my opinion though, I think the Big10 is better than the Big East. I gurantee like you said, when RR gets his speedy and athletic guys to Michigan, we'll be a national power again! RR is a proven winner, he beat Georgia, although he didn't coach them, his players beat Oklahoma. Give him 2 recruiting classes.

    Go Blue!

  • Kevin Newsome come on to UNC. We could use your talent at our school. It isn't far from Virginia, so you can see family on any and every vacation. The Heels are 4-1. They have a lot of heart and talent, and are playing with Butch Davis. Butch Davis has won a national championship with Miami, and coached the '92 Dallas Cowboys SB win. So far he has led the Tarheels to a 4-1 season. The Heels have a couple of great receivers in Tate & Nicks. These receivers are some of the best in the nation.

  • As far as getting receivers for thr the future the university is on the job. In fact Joshua Adams just committed.

  • I want Campbell to stop being a pussy and sign on to be sculpted by Barwis into a future pro linemen. I could emagine the recking force Campbell could be if he turned 30lbs of fat into muscle.

  • I originally thought Newsome was better then Forcier, until I found out Forcier has had a +70% completion percentage in two consecutive seasons, and until I saw several of Forciers highlight videos. Forcier is definitely better then Newsome. I'm still mad that newsome decommited. But with Forcier in the mold, Michigan won't miss Newsome

    Go Blue!

I HOPE Forcier doesn't decomit. I ahve a feeling he might decommit.

  • Forcier isnt going to decommit. If you followed the story about his commitment you'd think hes rock solid at michigan. He knows that he's the type of QB that can run this offense to its full potential even more than what Pat White could do.

  • Its just a gut feeling. Like, remember when Justin King was set instone and he decommited? Ditto Jai Eugene? Or how about William Campbell decommiting after he was the first recruit from the class of 2009 to give a verbal commitment?

Recruits decommit. I hope Forcier isn't one of them. i've read an article on him where his dad says "i've got to shape you into a 5 star prospect and get you ready for Michigan." Forcier seems set instone, but still

  • William Campbell is almost a lock to recommitt back to Michigan. He just wanted to enjoy the recruting process but he will definitly be a wolverine and the cass tech pipeline will continue

  • Good. Cause Michigan needs him. Terrance Taylor and Will Johnson are seniors, so they will be gone after this season. Mike martin will easily step in for Taylor at one DT spot, but the other spot will be up for grabs between Renaldo Sagesse, incoming freshmen DeQuinta Jones, Jason Kates, and possibly Adam Patterson. But if Campbell commits back to Michigan, he's virtually a lock to start alongside Martin at DT, evn as a true freshmen. Campbell is THAT good.

    Go Blue!

  • Ya I want William Cambell back too. The guy on ESPNU Recruting insider said it's a deal where he was commited so long to us that he wanted to see what the recruting process was like and he'll most likely end up back at Michigan. Plus he's got teamates goin to Michigan, and some already there! Our d-line will dominate with Martin, Cambell and other guys! I honestly think that Cambell's face looks like Glenn Dorsey, that's just me.

    Go Blue!

  • Michigans D-line will be pretty good if Campbell signs with Michigan. Cause we'll have Campbell and Martin at DT, plus Ryan Van bergen and Brandon Graham at DE (although graham needs to be way more consistent).

  • he looks more like shaun rogers
