Thank you for this video. The rules seem quite complex (though no more than many of my favorite games) and seeing how they work in play is exceedingly useful.
i bought this game. also have ravenloft. mage knight makes my old board games almost seem embarassing compared. the point is that mage knight gives you tons of control and tons of things to do. feels like WoW because you are leveling up, learning new abilities, exploring and choosing some quests out of the many that are available and interfering with other players or helping them.
Just to check: I think the "Concentration" Card can only increase _basic_ attack by additional 2, so it is perhaps illegal to add 2 to _ranged_ attack?
I wanted to love this game as D&D (fantasy games) are right up my alley. I read both rulebooks front to back (several times). 2 clumsy first play sessions, a LONG session of teaching 3 members in our game group. Now we may be getting a replacement member in our group and don't think the rest of us want to go through this all over again! Decided to give it a rest for a week. Knowing this game will NEVER get any table time, I wanted to try another solo game. To my surprise, I totally forgott
My gaming group officially gave up on this one (and we play complex games such as arkham horror). There is two booklets that come with the game. The rules are spread wide and far between both of them. Already there is a couple errors in this video (in regards to solo play).

My bad on the number of dice. It should only be 3 dice and 3 Units in the offer, not 4 like I did in the video.
Shame you gave up on this game, most others are loving it. I'd say it's quite a bit more complex than Arkham Horror.
