  • HOW TO FAIL.

  • NOOOO! Corn can kill him! Carrots are high in oxalates that can cause MBD metabolic bone disease!!! Romain and green letteuce bad!! They have no real nutrients. What you need is alfalfa for good plant protein and squash. Everything should be chopped well to avoid impaction and make sure that the food is diegested.

  • Do they like fruit?

  • @hubjubjub STRAW BERRIES. THIS BITCH DOESNT KNOW WHAT SHES TALKING ABOUT ._.

  • @hubjubjub yes but NO acidy or citrus plants so no orange no lemon no Acid

  • they need greens like collard greens mustard greens and turnip greens not lettuce.... you call yourself an expert

  • lol dose she know that letus is prety much just water you fucking retard your vids suck

  • where is the fruit?

  • Why is is that everyone on expertvillage dosnt seem to know what the hell they are talking about?

  • WTF! That cage is too small, it needs to be alot bigger than that jesus.

  • Every food named in this video have to nutritional value at all for an iguana and the cage is tiny I have a large ferret cage for my baby iguana

  • no offense but ur iguana is sorta like: "GET ME OUTTA HERE" on the wall of the cage

  • this cage that she keep him is for shits!!(and she is an expert :P)

  • damn, how bout sum mustard greens, carrots, apples, papaya, banana, of course sum of these are occasional but mustard greens and papaya are staple vegs and fruits. NO lettus of any kind, has no nuitritional value, good for rehydration though.

  • hey iv been thinking about getting a green iguana but i would like to know if there a good pet for a younger person ive had 3 real reptiles and geckos bearded dragon western banded geckos and a desert iguana and i hav a frog wich im using for practice. thanks i hope you get me the info :)

  • @LizardKhang thingy ;D

  • wtf completely wrong corn cauliflower carrots? these are all bad they have almost no nutritional value that cage is waay to fuckin small. i feel bad for the iguana

  • nicole-

the diet of your iguana is poorly made.

feeding the way you do will make the iguana week and in the end will kill it.

    know and than teach

for mor q&a you can sand me a massge

  • can i use cron

  • @LizardKhang im subscribing!!!! :D

  • Calcium suppliment tastes nasty! mine wont eat thier food if its sprinkled on top i have to put it in the middle or the bottom.first. Lettuce? what the helll are you thinking? expert my ass. go mrbinty1440 if you want a real expert and not this crap.

  • You have to be a real dumb ass to feed your iguana lettuce. Feeding you iguana lettuce should only be a last resort and thats to hydrate them. They should be eating a specific diet of a lot of different things. Go to the greenigsociety to get real info

  • @olegbrowncompanys Yup...lettuce should be given as a treat...radiccio...no good...I made a list of food the iggy should ALWAYS/Sometimes/Never have...even my vet made a copy of it to give to other Iggy owners. It amazes me how some people try to educate people in iguanas and really are giving incorrect and misleading info

  • @SkittlesTAZdance also...iggys should NEVER have corn...she is trying to kill her iggy!!!!

  • Ok i feed My iguana romain leetuce, watermelon, potato, carrots, banana, papaya, and yallow zuchini if anyone can correct me or give me advise plz do so

  • @wicho2101 dude go to the green iguana society website

  • Actually its just iceberg lettuce that provides no nutritional valué others such as romaine lettuce do provide the neccesary nutritional value

  • @wicho2101 ur as full of shit as nicole. ive asked 6 people including2 vets, and a herpatologist. they all say pretty much the same thing. lettuce of any kind has little to no nutritional value and should only be fed as a last resort and only if you are trying to hydrate them

  • water cress and greens, your a murderer

  • my iguana only eats lettuce but always hits me with its tail

  • @geckosman5 give it time it will get tamed

  • Dont give your iguana any kind of lettuce it has no nutrional value, feed him greens

  • I agree. I have a green an iguana and he absolutely despises lettuce.

  • That is straight up animal abuse.

Iguanas get absolutely no nutritional value from lettuce.

You need to stop talking like you actually know what you are talking about.

I have an iguana I would NEVER feed him lettuce, that is very unhealthy for them.

Nicole, you are NOT a reptile export, and this is so fucking wrong. Lose the fucking ego.

  • puta

  • i wish nicole would die

  • corn? cmon

  • my iguana is 10yrs i had her since she was a baby. She loves bananas, apples and cantalope is her favorite. And i also give her an adult iguana diet with her greens and veggies. Saphire is almost 5ft from head to tail and very healthy

  • Lettuce doesn't add much to the iguana's vitamin needs; and Iceburg lettuce (I know she didn't use any but I've seen many 1st time iguana keepers use them) is nothing but chewable water to them! The correct greens should be Mustard, Collard, or Turnip greens but Kale can also be used. It needed more shredded carrots in the bowl, but squash and zucchini are good to. And where's the fruit? They need some fruit too (I use strawberries).

At least she used a supplement.

  • could you tell me the best way to care for my iguana cause these vids are junk

  • iguanas eat none of that in nature

  • No they don't but what I mentioned is still very nutritious for them and are easy to find in grocery stores.

  • all the strawberry even the pips on the outside mine eats little gem lettuce n Romanian lettuce n sweet potato cabbage and I've got a coriander plant in the garden witch it loves it turns it nose up at fruit tho not once have i seen it eat fruit

  • there is something in carrots that causes cancer betacaratina or something like that... i dont give mine carrots ...that was on the news... fact

  • what do you mean

  • She's feeding that iguana the wrong stuff. It needs to be fed (roughly) 60% greens, 30% veggies, and 10% fruits. You need to give it a variety and make it look good (if you care about your iguana's happiness, that is). She's feeding him too many veggies, and lettuce is bad unless it's only a little. All in all, she just sucks at caring for iguanas.

  • thanks for the info ill keep it in mind

  • could you tell me the best way to care for my iguana

  • YouTube's comment box isn't nearly large enough, but there's some great info at these sites: greenigsociety(dot)org and anapsid(dot)org. If you read around there, you should be good. ^_^

  • I bet at the end he didn't dare go anywhere near that poor excuse for food LOL

I now believe what people have said about these videos from "expert village", I have watched several of them and I would NEVER recommend doing anything they have said!!!

  • lettuce romaine??? i don't think so i would go with collard turnip and mustard greens... wiht other veggies to give them a variety!

  • FAIL! Lettuce is bad its like 99% water....

  • this lady is retarded. dont give them carrots or lettuce or cabbage its bad for them. best to get them string beans, collard greens, and sweet potatoes and even papaya sometimes.

  • how long until you let them out of their cage for good

  • iguanas need far far larger enclosures than what this women gives them.....

they need at LEAST 3-4 feet taller cages, since they like to climb a lot and its far more important than having a wide 'walking area on the bottom'

  • Just take all you videos on reptile care off of youtube because they are all false.

  • casper, my ig eats 2 regular size dinner plates full of food. (except in breeding season) and 3 plates when breeding season is over.

  • no you cannot feed crickets to your iguana.

igs are strict herbivores. no animal protein whatsoever, they can get kidney problems and die

  • I was SHOCKED when she said carrots and romain lettuce and other lettuces. my casper, gets only the best foods. you can see him eating, i sometimes have to go to 2 or 3 stores to get what he needs. i have 2 videos one from when he was a baby and then a year or 2 later. come watch him chow down

  • 0:10 - 0:16 retard!!!

    choke choke choke

  • Fuck this shit is wrong, take this out of youtube, fuck you lady, u dont know anything, stop it!

  • Can i feed my iguana crickets?

  • yeah the guy i bought my baby iguana from said yes

  • The guy you bought you iggy from is a fucking retard.

  • oh ok good cuz i havent feed hi that so ok thaks cuz he did look kinda weird lol

  • I would find a well respected Iggy breeder or try some forums.

  • Comment removed

  • No.

  • letuice WTF take this off youtube !!!!! animal cruelty

  • Everyone who watches this video,DON'T FEED YOUR IGUANA LIKE THIS!!!MrBinty1440 has the best video for making iguana food on youtube!Watch that and your iguana will live 20 years

  • Amen, MrBinty1440!! This is next to animal abuse. My iggy, Dorian, never ever ever gets lettuce. You have got to be @#$&ing kidding me. Dorian gets at least three greens, (collard, endive, turnip, mustard, dandelion, arugula, etc.) a squash, bell peppers, (bright colored), green onions, and a stock veggie (parsnips, okra, yucca root, etc.) NEVER carrots. If you're using this woman as a diet source for your iggy, you should have someone adopt it because you are not capable of caring for an iggy.

  • i'm sorry but this is the worst diet video on youtube except for the ones by people who are new to igs and don't know anything but what some pet store said to them. this is stuff out of a salad bag she bought at a store for people who are trying to lose or maintain weight not an iguana diet to grow on. what part of exotic animal don't people understand? i spend 30 min a day making mine their food and my iguana diet video covers alot more and shows what to really use & i'll be updating more soon

  • coloflower kills them!!!! it killed an iguana that a friend of mine had

  • no iceburg

  • Thank you for your videos about Iguanas :-)

My Iguana will be 5 years old this year. It does very well on Collard greens. It basically grew up on those leaves and eats a few every day and it`s very healthy.

  • You need to substitute the lettuce and carrots with mustard, collard, turnip, and water cress greens...and parsnip or aspragus.

  • carots and letuce should be fed one every month
