This review is so bad, and in the party, you get to choose 3 out of 10 different characters, and you may still modify the party throughout the game, not play with the same two all the story.
There's one big default in the game, it's that when the game ends, you get back to the main menu, so there's such thing as to freely travel after you end the story
There are quests during the game, so why don't they multiply them and let people have fun clearing them after finishing the story, the game will be much more of a success that way, specially if they add a multiplayer mode for like taking down titaniums....

Just got this game finally. But when they said u back track a lot. It does not bother me because I lv up quick doing it. Plus u only back track mostly when u'r doing a quest.

The environments are amazing and fun to explore. The gameplay is out of this world. The boss battles are exciting and challenging. Except for the back tracking, the gameplay is excellent. Sure, it has a weak start, but the story really gets to its point of excellence once you figure out what your supossed to do. Personally, I prefer this game over Kingdom Hearts.

The gameplay is wonderfully polished, the soundtrack is blood-pumping, and the boss battles are thrilling, challenging, gripping...while somehow staying out of "tear-your-hair-out frustrating" territory. The game is just plain, exhilarating fun to play (once I got past the first ~30 minutes of storyline exposition, to be honest).
Boss battles are very challenging but not frustratingly hard, needs a lot of grinding and strategy to win. Story is decent but not special enough. Game gets tight and story becomes more intense during the second half and the main antagonist is a unique twist. Overall, I gave this game 4/5 stars. Only downside is that characters need to be more fleshed out and there is absolutely NO new game+. which is kinda disappointing. If you beat the last boss, then its all over, no extras or unlockables
Well, i've just finished this game a while ago and all i can say its superb gaming experience, the hack and slash system is pretty good, and the environs kinda reminds me of ragnarok online. If your into online gaming, you will notice the game plays like one except that you mash buttons instead of clicking enemies to attack. Its very nice. Really, 40 hours of gameplay is satisfying. Its better than some of the recent JRPGs along with it like hexyz and iyar. All i can say this is a very good game

The story is deeper than that... but only if you've got an eye for subtext. The reviewer and all the people commenting here on Youtube take everything at face value, which is a little sad. Adol's history should never be underestimated.
So..For ten hours the story is undeveloped...I think Ill pass. On a related note, guys you should try playing The Granstream Saga; the way the girl explained the review for Ys Seven would be almost exactly the same I would describe The Granstream Saga(besides it being developed 1997). Dungeon crawlers aren't my thing but that game entertained me than most action/rpgs

I like the game because it reminds me old games like Chrono Trigger and such. I miss Chrono Trigger (SNES not DS).

I am interested in this title. Thank you for the revue. I like a bit of near-mindless game play to balance out of these stellar-art-story games. This is a game you play to kill time and it's look like fun to boot.
