@TheDeg100 you need to kill an enclave officer and take there key card to get into a room called "Robotic Defensive Control Centre" and activate a huge computer in the middle of the room you can unlock all the locked doors and get into the armory to get very helpful weapons.

@Zachthekingsfan remember that mutant you killed in that FEV or HEV whatever its called testing facility. you could leave him in the cell... kill him... or let him out and he would get the thingy for you through the radiation. his name was Fawks.

@VaginosaurusRex yea i saved him and he got the geck thing for me and when i got captured by the Enclave, i escaped and i saw him outside and he was shooting Enclave soldiers, I couldnt stay because i was low on health so i just travled to Megaton and got some sleep and left him there, Its ok i already beat it anyway

You dont need Fawkes or the helper you get from The Brotherhood of Steel. Its easy enough,it just takes that little bit longer

You get Fawkes after you release him from an experimental testing facility. You must agree to help each other though. Or he wont help you through the radiate corridors, which you cant go through, until he clears the way. Unfortunatley i havnt played this game in a long time and i cant remember the chapter that i got him on though.... Sorry

@Th3Ac393 The idea of the Broken Steel expansion was originally to test the player's character and abilities in every aspect from tactical combat (or mindless slaughter, take your pick) to non-aggressive activities such as lock picking and hacking technological equipment. From my own experience with Fallout 3 and its expansions I would suggest attempting the 'Who Dares Wins' quest only if your character is at least level-18 with balanced skills, etc. Any level lower will have major problems.

4:37 to 4:42 is an excellent flank! The thing I love about having Fawkes fight by my side when I'm in heavily populated enemy territory is that most of the time the majority of hostiles always prioritise killing Fawkes, so out comes my Experimental MIRV to wade through crowds followed by an appropriate alternative weapon for the situation at hand.

what to do if u bluwn up the force field

@tejjaw If you're asking what happens to a force field barrier when blown up as to whether it can be activated and produce the electromagnetic barrier again, then think of it in a real life situation -- If you take a sledgehammer and swing it down upon your computer with all your strength you'd assuredly demolish your system and not have much to salvage from it, if anything at all, and you can't turn it back on. If you break the control panel for the Force Field, it's broken. Simple as that.

attention guys who are stuck, pick up the keycard you get off enclave officers and use it to unlock the security door which you would normally need 50 science to open or 50 lockpick. Then while in their use the terminal to unlock all the doors.

@winterizedassain Yes, Enclave soldiers will still (re)spawn within the vicinity of an Enclave Encampment even after the main questline and the Broken Steel expansion's main questline have been completed. Also, as an added bonus from the quest 'Shock Value' is the optional objective which can be obtained; the reward from even just gaining the optional objective remains with the player's character through the rest of the game. Any Enclave-controlled Deathclaws fight WITH the player =)

@chachunter3 lol one of the things you should have upgraded at the beginning of the game is lockpicks and small guns, then science. don't do this mission until you have a lot of ammo, good guns, and level. because you wont be able to go through the whole area
