I think this was an accident where the cop did not mean to shoot his weapon. He did not keep his finger off the trigger like he was trained to do. In fact there is a you tube video of a female officer who was not holding her weapon the proper way and shot about 6 inches from the perps head almost hitting him and the officer who was cuffing the guy. I am a white guy that happens to like niggers but I too thought that it was ridiculous for black people to leap to conclusions about racism whenever cops shot black men until a friend of mine, a veteran of 17 years in the military, was shot 8 times in the back by three cops who snuck up quietly not announcing their presence. They then slandered him as a drug dealing gang member they had been investigating when he in reality was on his 2nd day of leave.

I think this was an accident where the cop did not mean to shoot his weapon. He did not keep his finger off the trigger like he was trained to do. I agree that the officer was a dumb ass but I don't believe he shot the young man because of a white and black thing. Sometimes life happens and it is not always racially motivated. I do feel bad for the guys four year old daughter and his girlfriend.

It actually happens more than people realize. In fact there is a you tube video of a female officer who was not holding her weapon the proper way and shot about 6 inches from the perps head almost hitting him and the officer who was cuffing the guy. Now some probably will say that since the perp is white and the officer cuffing him is black, she was trying to shoot her fellow officer. Unfortunately, the police do make mistakes.

Love the title. One question to all the bloggers out there, Why is it that no one in Oakland gets upset over killings that occur out of the puplic eye? Oakland has one of the highest homocide rates in the U.S. but who is out there protesting that fact? Oscar Grant, Oakland Ca - killed on New Years Day after being shot in the back while pinned down (and possibly handcuffed) by another cop. Grant was unarmed.
Adolf Grimes, New Orleans La - killed on New Years eve after being shot 12 times in the back (14 total). Grimes was armed with a legal, registered gun.
Robbie Tolan, Dallas Tx - shot 3 times on New Years Eve after cops wrongfully accused him of stealing his own vehicle in front of his parents home on Dec 31. Tolan was unarmed.

shwantz3 is a little extreme, but all kinds of people here in the Bay Area are trying to make excuses for the cop, even though he's been charged with MURDER, and/or trying to incriminate Grant, trying to say he was a "thug." I'd like to know just what defines "thug" to some of these people.

what's more is that my friend speaks arabic and osama bin laden boasts about his involvement/responsibility for the plane attacks in that video we have all probably seen ... bin laden did it, not the us gov't

A plane crash which melted steel yet couldn't burn a paper passport, which magically had a duplicate passport (the same person) in another part of the country.

um hello fucktard i live in new york and my uncle and two cousins (both of his sons) were firefighters...imagine how my fuckin aunt felt that night u inconsiderate fuck. i knew 4 other guys from their dept very well...all deceased. I knew a cop that died. I knew 17 people...SEVENTEEN...who worked in the towers and and they are now DEAD. I knew two other people that were NEVER FOUND. that totals 25 people. i wud call that "dozens." just b/c others may be insincere doesnt mean im lying u asshole
