I wished more than anything that Iran would have made it to the 2010 world cup. But a few months before, Iran had a huge protest to dethrown their governemnt and the Iran soccer team wore green wrist bands to support the people. The government kicked off half of the players, therefore they could not play in the 2010 world cup. It had nothing to do with the team playing bad. That is a prime example of how little people know..but how MUCH THEY TALK CRAP. Go Iran. Coming from an American.

You should be aware that FIFA rankings for countries in particular confederations mean very little. Since the USA and Mexico rarely play the European and South American teams, they win more often than a team of their standard should. Put the USA in the UEFA qualifying for the World Cup, and I really doubt they'd get anywhere near qualifying.
