My cousin chosed the bible... =3

  • THis is such a cool custom i may do this for my kid if i ever have one but that will be a loonnnggg way down the road lol

  • @karebear0410

Glad to hear you've enjoyed it. Sounds like you have wonderful parents and it's so good that people like yourself care and understand the importance of one's heritage and origin. Love those around you but also where you come from that helps define you!

  • Thanks. It is fun. The stack of money/bills represent wealth, yarn = long life, rice =health, pencil = studious - these are the basics. You can anything else you like. We added a mirror for fun to rep vanity, a golf ball for sports and a bible to reprent faith in God

  • I like this tradition. I think it's cool, kinda wish we do it in the US. What do all the items represent? Is there one for music or something?

  • so what represents like music or anything like they want to be in entertainment for the future?

  • @soccrroxmysox

You know it's completely up to you. You can use something like microphone or a small musical instrument. Just pick something that is not too flashy so it doesnt get picked only because it stands out.

  • Oh! your baby is so cute

  • @edithlefebvree

    Thank you!

    Thank you!

  • I wanted to play this for my gal, but she never gave the chance

  • @chgojack1 that's what mom and dad did for me. i think i picked up the pen. obviously was too engrossed in my studies. unfortunately, b/c of that, it's the only thing i know best. could have been better rounded.

  • @moosenator2yo

Nothing wrong with being overly studios. personally, i think the pen/pencil is the best item.

  • Very beautiful! I like the tradition. My children will be half Korean so I will have to do it as well. :) Thanks for sharing!

  • @Jax1108

You're welcome and thank you too. I hope you have a wonderful time with your children!

  • Wonderful tradition! Cute baby! I am glad that she had chosen the Bible! Lord Jesus bless!

  • @aalexmary

Me too. And you know to this day (she's now 5) she loves books and talks about Jesus naturally.

  • Your baby is ADORABLE, I love the tradition aswell. :)

  • @socialri0txii

    Thank you!

  • No worries. It's all for fun anyway but if you really want to make sure they do, just make sure they're close enough to touch/grab an item.

  • what if the baby doesn't choose anything ?? I wanna do this to my children too , i really do believe in oriental's traditions!!!

  • so cute baby..i hope my baby pick a pencil or book as wel..very nice for her..she's so cute!

My daughter's is coming up this month. I hope she picks the pencil or book!

  • @hewnandhammered

Thank you. Anything she picks should be good e.g. string means long life and rice means good health and appetite - all good and all for really just fun.

  • aw, such a cute baby =3

I was told that I picked the pencil =]

  • @littleblackconverse1

    I hope you're a great student!

  • I asked my parents what I picked but they don't remember (laugh)

how sad, but my friends and I think that I picked up a pencil since I draw and write so much

by the way, your baby is sOOO cute!

if u need a babysitter i'll be right here! (laughs) I'm joking, I doubt we live anywhere close

  • thank you.

  • @Sennoko

Thank you. You sound like a wonderful person and glad to hear you picked something that represents part of what you really enjoy doing now.

  • Wonderful! God Bless ;)

  • she is going for the book that means she is going to be a good student cool^^

  • Sorry(!), I just accidently removed your comment but yes, we do thank God...everyday. The video is simply that of tradition.

  • Yes!

  • a bible instead animation? uhmm can u explain?

  • Sure. What I meant was that to avoid her being attracted cartoon type of animation typically gracing the covers of children's books, I placed a bible to represent a book.

  • oh okay but animation is fun also nothing wrong with that

  • you're definitely right! (we just didn't want to give any of the items an unfair advantage. we wanted her to pick a pencil (predictor that she'll be a good student) or money (predictor that she'll make lots of it). ;>)just kidding. Actually, we're very happy she picked a bible - we're Christians.

  • okay :) thats great
