I like your idea, but the reason they never did that is because VMK was a promotion for disney parks. Think about it. When you saw the items they offered from the in park quest, didn't it make you want to go to the parks? If they made you pay for VMK, it would be like making you pay to watch a commercial.

Well, I have heard many things, but the one that I heard the most was that it would re-open in October, but I believe that another company is trying to buy it from Disney. I am not sure. But I also heard that Disney did not erase EVERYTHING from its database. I heard that they kept the accounts, the graphics, etc.
I have much hope in this lovely game to re-open. I really hope that it's October, or in another year!

vmk unleashed was not working with disney, disney actually was supposedly gonna sue falling star productions as soon as VMKU came out, but in the long run VMKU was not realeased because the group of teenagers decided to close it half way through and decided to tell us later. half of the time they were giving us updates and everything they had already decided to close the game. and as to vmk reopening its not reopening in october apparently unless it reopens this october

I'm not exactly sure. There have been so many rumors of when vmk is re opening, that it is very hard to tell. The REAL host_phinny on youtube told everyone there is an 86% chance vmk is reopening either in 2 years, or this october. The truth is nobody really knows, and if you think you do, you are wrong. The only way to know when vmk opens is to ask the staff/ yavn themselves. They only know, nobody else. But there is suppse to be a new vmk on may 21, 2009? idk if its exact yet, though.

Even if it does re-open, everyones account was deleted. I myself had TONS of rare items that took me years to get and even though I'd be happy if it came back, it wouldn't be the same starting out as guests all over again..

i know we all want it back, but the fact of the matter is that Disney is not letting VMK come back. It was only a promotional game to excite people about Disneyland's 50th Anniversary. Sadly we must move on. Also VMKUnleashed got copyright lawed to death and will not be opening either. Sorry guys.

Ikr!!! I cried. It was so fun and it was safe. No one could ask people for their phone numbers so I felt really safe on there. And no one cursed me out or anything. I really hope they re-open it. I love Disney so much, so its cool to have a virtual world Disney style ;D

My character was awesome...I used to play vmk with my sister all day everyday, or at least until it opened to the time it closed. I loved my account, I think I was Hiumi or something like that and my sister was BabyKaylah, I remember the splash mountain ride contests, I saved up a lot of money for those...

vmk unleashed was not working with disney, disney actually was supposedly gonna sue falling star productions as soon as VMKU came out, but in the long run VMKU was not realeased because the group of teenagers decided to close it half way through and decided to tell us later. half of the time they were giving us updates and everything they had already decided to close the game. and as to vmk reopening its not reopening in october apparently unless it reopens this october

I have an idea of why you say that vmk might reopen. If you've ever heard of the Kingdom Keepers books they used vmk to communicate.
Well if you look on Wikipedia they said that The Kingdom Keepers is becoming a movie. So what I was thinking was that vmk might be an advertisement for the movie, The Kingdom Keepers.

I played habbo before i played vmk, but then switched to vmk. when vmk cloed i went back to habbo,
could be considered rich with HC, but it is the most dangerous game eveer. almost every person have to experience being hacked, and its totally pointless, just collect furni and talk.. thats why i gave my acc away...

ATTENTION: They are NOT reopening VMK. However, they are making an exact duplicate of it. It will becalled VMK Unleashed. It will open on May 21? or 22? of 2009. It will open on the same date that VMK closed last year.

I'm not exactly sure. There have been so many rumors of when vmk is re opening, that it is very hard to tell. The REAL host_phinny on youtube told everyone there is an 86% chance vmk is reopening either in 2 years, or this october. The truth is nobody really knows, and if you think you do, you are wrong. The only way to know when vmk opens is to ask the staff/ yavn themselves. They only know, nobody else. But there is suppse to be a new vmk on may 21, 2009? idk if its exact yet, though.

Even if it does re-open, everyones account was deleted. I myself had TONS of rare items that took me years to get and even though I'd be happy if it came back, it wouldn't be the same starting out as guests all over again..
