He had to re-call himself Ben Jor because his royalties on song copyrights

were credited by mistake for a while in the eighties to the US guitarist George Benson.

Copyright agencies mistook Jorge with George and Ben with Benson,

so he rebranded himself to avoid shit like this in the future,

as it is written in his Wikipedia page
