The jensen seems have more volume and a more 'open' sound.
But I have a question : Does the jensen crunch 'before' of the eminence or at the same settings they have both the same clean?

by the way in arpeggio mode I like more the Jensen but in th end section of your
video , when you works on single note, the 2 speakers have a very different sound, and sometimes I like more the eminence.I think I have to play for some hour with both to choose the one
Great demo Zep.Transferring my Jnr into a Pine/Tweed Cab with a Celestion G12H. I use a 335 and a 56' Custom Shop Strat in a blues band. The stock Jnr has been lacking a bit of bite and sparkle but your demo has just comfirmed what I thought was the case. The black Jnr in your demo sounds a bit 'boxey' and dull whilst the Tweed has a much more open and dynamic sound. I really liked the no nonense way you demo'd the various pick up configs thru both amps with just a few simple riffs. Thanks..!!
wow thank you for this!!! seeing where you set the amp settings to, i think the tolex version doesnt have enough treble to work with. seems like its just kinda muddy even with the treble set at 8 (3/4 of the way up). the tweed is just a lot tighter sounding.

It's not necessary to test all the pickup positions. A simple and more entertaining riffs, clean and crunch would have been better. Good idea to compare both amps but i'm sorry but your playing is boring.
I agree that the Tweed is the better of the two. The Jenson speaker makes the sound much clearer to me. I have the tweed and did my own A/B in the store. I would never have bought the tolex.
So if you swap amps with their cabs, does the findings remain the same?
I'm not sure the amps would sound the same anyway given the tolerances of all the components in the two amps.
Capacitors have a pretty wide tolerances 10% is quite normal for poly film caps.
Food for thought?
