aparently the words "around the bend" came from kew, melbourne..where mental asylums were..the streets are in a bending shape.. I have recently come from that bend, worked there and feel i got sent around the bend. This song make me feel good. I worked in palliative care.. this music makes everything nicer :)

I swear on everything, even God that i wrote a letter to Pearl Jam back in middle school around 1993, and i asked them to write a song called "Around the bend" Believe me or not, there's a song around the bend, he' says it in the lyrics. As i sit here and reflect what this song says and means to me, it is that anyone can make their voice be heard.!! Thank you Pearl Jam for the great music and the inspiration. You have given me a gift like no other, and ill never forget it!

A long time ago I used to program my CD player to play all the mellow stuff from No Code on rotation to fall asleep to. I got to "Off He Goes" usually and I was gone, but now and again I stayed awake just to hear this song. Wonderfully brilliant album and this is an excellent song.

Everytime I hear this song, I think of it as a lullaby. It's so soft and gentle.

It goes good with quiet rainy days.

i hate when people compare pearl jam with creed. Pearl jam is one of the best bands ever. i like them way better then nirvana. no code and vitology are the best cds ever. If you notice every cd is so different but still very good. no code was their best cd by far imo.

i adore the music my father listened to becuase its not like today with all these pointless shouting and screaming that yuo can understand anything from it ...so thats why i listen to soft music and stuff but i do enjoy some hard rock and metal now and then... Ill tell you one thing in my opinion there is no bad music ,all types are great, it just depends on the type you are looking for.

the album was dissed becuz, the fair weather fans of pj were expecting another album like TEN or Vitalogy, this album had balance of music playing, the lyrics had substance too.. like Present Tence is my fav song too.. LONG LIVE PEARL JAM!

It's an album with a great mix of sounds, a lot o people hate this album, the reason? i don't know, maybe they like a hard music, but this album got the two sides, the soft sound like this song and strongs guitars like in Red Mosquito.

I don't see why people hate riot act. Nice sound, nice songs tat don't stand out but are perfect for that album. Riot Act and Binaural are heavily underrated. I think No Code is really nice, but there are some songs I can't get into.
