  • time for a Roomba 780 review!

  • Shorter review guy: this thing is very expensive and doesn't clean well, but I'm an enormous geek. Five stars!

  • why would you think not wanting to vacuum is lazy? who really wants to vacuum??

  • The new one or the high end model has a tangle proof brush system so it doesn't ever get tangled!

  • yeah untill it tells you it wants to kill you

  • You have really nice teeth.

  • @Gubru robot toothbrush?

  • @Gubru I noticed that too, so tight and white and straight.

  • i just wanted to know before seriously buying roomba or navibot, how theese response to water spills.

    please give a response THANKS

  • Brought to you with DARPA support.

  • Nice

  • time to trim eyebrows

  • @Island728 time to stop being a faggot

  • BTW i'll return it to the store tomorrow. humans are still top notch in that sphere.

  • It does need some improvements. Instead of having just infrared tools(that makes it crash in the furniture), it could have been installed also an ultrasound that create a 3d model of the room. That would increase productivity instead of going in different directions and not finishing the job immediately(but after a couple of crashes in the chairs). It does clean, but it takes it so much time. We, humans clean in squares (when we finish a part of the room we continue), roomba cleans in chaos.

  • @L3gion3r I agree! Electrolux Trilobite does just that! sorta..."This object detection is fairly reliable, but sometimes fails if the robot approaches an object with a sharp corner. In this case, the ultrasonic beam is not reflected, and the Trilobite will gently bump into the object. Because the Trilobite stops a short distance from walls and other objects, it leaves small areas that are not fully cleaned." -Wikipedia, linked from the Roomba wiki page. Cheers!

  • i got one for 250ish at costco. it was the 550 one with 2 virtual walls and cleaning supplys and 2 extra filters

  • The best kind of floor, I think, for the roomba to clean is hardwood floor and thin carpet.

My grandmother got me on this xmas and it has a re-charging doc so I don't really have to carry it around XD thank you Grandma! : p

It does have a habbit of getting itself stuck in the corner with the xmas tree sometimes lol.

  • it talks i wish i could hear it talk

  • I have the Pet Roomba.

It's not a question of being lazy, but if you have problems with you back like I do, it's very nice to have a robot do the work.

The issue I have with my Pet Roomba is that it does not cope with dog fur !

The fur clogs the ends of the brushes, even before there's actually any fur on the brushes themselves !

Otherwise, I find it works very well.

They need to solve that problem if they want pet owners to buy the product.

  • LOL, he has a hairy pussy......cat.

  • You have suck a good lay out in your videos!!! But you need to get better video quality!!! Sound and picture.

  • Apple should get to robot industry to increase competition and make it cool to have robot.

  • *Cat get's it's body vacuumed by the Roomba and meows*

Me: "What's up, Roomba got your fur?"

  • you look like justin timberlake

  • you sound like an employee trying to advertise your product

  • you look like jordan farmar from the LA lakers!

  • i have one and it works great ??

  • Keep the Roomba, keep the cat, get rid of the girlfriend, get a boyfriend

  • Keep the cat, keep the roomba, get rid of the girlfriend.

  • Keep the girlfriend, get rid of the cat.

  • or get rid of you aspecialsnowflake

  • @aspecialsnowflake fuck the girlfriend

  • Keep the Roomba get rid of the girlfriend

  • funny u mention the irobot spinning in fibonachi!

  • So just to make sure, your saying that the iRobot Roomba 560 Vacuum doesn't clean as good as the hand held one, right ?

  • Cleaning Head Module failed on mine within weeks of use. I don't think its fit for purpose. Each replacement head is about £50, mine is going back for a full refund if it fails just once more!

  • You have a cat and your gf has an allergy? Not compatible.

  • too many people get pets and then get rid of them once they become inconvenient. they shouldn't get a pet that can live for two decades if they wont take care of it for that long. way to go dude.

  • @sithwalrus I agree. If you make the commitment follow through!! Its called integrity!

  • A thing to note if you have cats or dogs, iRobot has a special version of the Roomba 560 called the "562 pet series". It's about $20 extra and is said to be better at handling pet hair than the regular version.

  • Jon, Whats the deal with the picture in the background here. Watch your video and watch the colors change.....do do do do (twilight zone music) LOL

  • thats pretty cool

  • I don't have one but a friend of mine does. I consider my self a geek also and yes u get a kick out of watching it vacuum. Love ur videos john. Please keep them coming.

  • Reading the Roomba forums it seems like a lot of people love the Roomba at first when it is new, but after a short while they hate it. The side brushes break off very quickly and hair gets wrapped around parts of the brushes you can't reach causing the gears to eventually burn out and the Roomba to die. I believe the warranty is only a year and I've heard replacement parts have a long wait.

Would be interesting to see a follow-up review several months from now.

  • @cool8man Not had that problem with my Roomba

  • They should make it so the dock empties the roomba then it can go back to vacuuming and it doesn't get desperate for you to empty it, you can do it when ever you want.

  • RD had something like this in Rob& big and his dog Meaty destroyed it lol

  • I love the roomba

  • fuck

  • I have so much stuff on the floor I'm afraid it will suck it up.

  • lmao!

  • i love how you say you "unboxed" your apartment lol

  • Just ordered mine from Frys. Does anyone know what the specs are on the power adapter (240 or 120v or both)

    Thanks

  • It bangs into and ruins furniture and walls. That's why I hate it.

  • That's so nifty!

  • Can it go up and down the stairs?

Will it eat up items like jewerly on the floor or something?

  • it will not go up and down stairs because it has a sensor if it is on a edge if auto rotates to prvent it from falling(something like that and i guess it will eat up anything that could fit through the bristles but like jon said if something gets stuck it tells you.

  • its a bit bit like marmite.

either you love it or loathe it.

imo its bloody waste of money.

  • well how do you know if it has a error if your gone hard at work???

  • record Mercedes chasing the Roomba

  • get your geek on? O.O

  • "HowToMasterRunescape"

    wow...

  • 25 min? only? thats fast

  • Thanks for the video

  • im a geek too :]

  • me too

  • yeah , i think it could be pretty cool . you would need a pretty clear floor ...so i dunno , if u have a clear floor ,then your gonna just vacuum. still cool like jon said. keep it up JR

  • Jon you're just great :D i love your reviews, unboxings and everything else you're making! all your vids are just great!

  • John, you should do a test where you put coal dust on the carpet, press the on button and come back in an hour to see how much is left/removed.

  • Ye keep a camera on it and you can see its route as it makes its way around your room! That would be cool!

  • LOL JOHN, U REALLY LOVE THAT ROBOT!!!

  • Great review, I wasnt aware something like this even exists.

  • I Hate Cat hair!

  • Yea i hate cat hair too, but i love my cat, so i dont care and clean my room often

  • Aweomse!

  • Nice review. I do like the product, although I think for that amount of money, it is just better for me to do it the old fashion way. But if it wasnt so expensive, I would have it in a second.
