  • Not tonight..LBJ & D-Wade v. Lin-sanity & "Carmare".......Heat in a blowout!

  • How come remember something with an LJ 4 pointer.?!

  • Mike Bibby is now #20...

  • As a Sixers fan, i must say...the NBA is much more fun to watch when the Knicks are good

  • lebron clearly traveled on this video.

  • @bukidnontae you are clearly an idiot.

  • that was lockout season!

  • sucks he got injured later

  • Pathetic defense by the Heat on that play. But this is just another moment and reason why Miami teams dont win anything and come so close and then choke.

  • @bigdaddymatty17

0-2 down in finals and won the finals, thats nothing?

  • WOW NICE SHOT!!

  • what if allen houston punched someone when he swang lol

  • Been a Knicks fan since dez dayssssss lmfaooo

  • Favorite player growing up and still until this day

  • yeah... the play was EXCITING... but he TRAVELLED (aka: walked)

    Review the play!

    1) he catches the ball (both feet are planted on the ground)

    2) he takes a 1 bounce dribble (both feet were stil on the ground)

    3) he takes 2 steps (the left foot lands second & is in front of the right foot)

    4) he takes 1 more step, which totals to 3 steps (right foot goes ahead of the left foot)

    5) he jumps up & shoots the ball

2 steps to a shot, NOT 3. 3 steps before a shot = travelling (aka Walking)

  • @vids050 dude get over it, everybody travels in the NBA lol

  • @nflmvp2015

oh i'm over it... i'm just putting the truth out there that everyone willfully ignores. officiating has been sucking for too many years to count and people need to be truthful about that and stop just conveniently ignoring it.

  • may favorite basketball player..

  • Those games were nasty, every posession was important, New York is all about defense, that's why we need a new coach, D'Antoni is ok, but he doesn't represent NY basketball.

  • As always what a call by Gus, one of the purest voices in sports history

  • damm if only we had ewing in the finals we could have won duncan and robinson were just to much

  • WOW, 190,564 people have ALREADY viewed this..... DIDN'T the game just end like 2 1/2 hours ago (or something),lol

  • @Getrealpeeps Are you serious this was in 1999. allan houston is retired

  • @eazyhasaids Even though Allan Houston is retired, he's still involved with the Knicks organization.

  • @eazyhasaids

Well, UHHHH I DIDN'T KNOW, OK, JA (Jack @SS)

  • @Getrealpeeps LMFAO you fail bro.. please think before you speak. if you really consider yourself a knicks fan, youre on crack.

  • The shot was one of the single greatest moments I've experienced as a Knicks fan. That and seeing the looks on the Miami players faces when the game ended. Sure most of the last 10 years have been hell for us Knicks fans but people forget they had the 3 best rivalries throughout the 90's. Knicks/Bulls, Knicks/Pacers & Knicks/Heat. That's what today's basketball misses, real rivalries.

  • @Equint77 fans need to be like knick fans always loyal thorugh hard times, instead of jumping into the laker/heat wagon -_-

  • That was great. Remember it well. Good times, and yes we got crushed in the finals.

  • knicks baby!

  • For Radio

Gus Johnson "Charlie Ward inbounding on the right sideline. Houston pops out up top. Down the lane, RUNNING JUMPERRRRRR...OFF THE FRONT RIM, AND IN!"

    For TV

Tom Hammonds "Houston ducks under...GOT IT! WITH EIGHT-TENTHS LEFT!"

Music to my ears either way.

  • I remember jumping in the living room when that happened. Basketball was awesome back then

  • then he stole 100 million dollars from you guys

  • could that nigga have taken anymore steps? smh

  • I was at this game.....It was devastating to watch this in person. Oh well...lol

  • This year, I say don't overlook this team with Stoudemire who should be MVP! He went to a local high school near my work, and people are singing his praises in Orlando no end!

  • BEST SHOT I EVA SEEN IN ALL MY YEARS WATCHING MY KNICKS LOVE HOUSTON!

  • such a shame Ewing and LJ were injured for the finals, the cinderella story could have been completed. either way, they were a great team to watch.

  • on that day when he made that shot, i literally flipped off the chair and almost snapped my neck. such a huge allan houston fan, and still is luv u allan! 6'6 from TN, number 20, allllllllllllllllllan houston! when he retired in 2005, i tend not to pay attention to the knicks or the nba, and i have been a fan since i was 7,8 yrs old and i am now 32. luv the game, but the players now, they suck and kobe can forget about being the next jordan...

  • greatest lead to finals in nba history, 2nd greatest was when lebron led his team in 07. Lebron>kobe.

  • Im so glad the knicks suck now.

  • i remember watchin this game with my dad and cousins when i was 7. fuckin incredible moment

  • kobe bryant is the best player in NBA

  • gus johnson best announcer

  • I HATE DAN MAJERLE, because I'm a Sonics and Blazers fan. Any play where Dan Majerle gets messed up is a great one for me.

  • NY made my young white trash chicano heart beat like never during those play offs!

  • Ron Artest would fuck up this Knicks team though

  • This makes me sad because we suck now.**** the Spurs!

  • newark airport listening in the car got out and jumped up and down

  • first rounds playoff were best of 5 back then

  • My all time favorite play, The great Allan Houston, Latrell was badass back then too, I loved that team

  • i remember that shot it made me jump up my couch go knicks!

  • I will always remember this radio call for as long as I live

"Houston pops out up top, down the lane, running jumper....Off the front rim and in with 8/10 of a second to go!"

Knicks have been garbage since then. And we went into the Finals and the next few years without a great center. Patrick was the man

  • it doesnt matter all that natters is it went in bitch!

  • go fuck yo self alright man

get a job do somethin wit yo life other than cursin on youtube

  • will can kobe score 61 points on those knicks in the 90 team

  • On wikipedia it says Kobe has 10 NBA records, and scoring 61 against the Knicks is one of those records. I don't understand scoring the most points against a team is in the same category of records like all time rebound etc. And now Kobe fans read that and repeat it on youtube, saying that Jordan only scored 55 against the Knicks. But Kobe scored it against a team that didn't even make it to the playoffs. The lack of common sense is annoying.

  • @inlovewithi

Wikipedia is wrong. Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game came against the Knicks, so that's the record.

  • That's true, but the record is most points scored in MSG. Since it's listed as an Official record I completely forgot about Will and assumed that it was most all time. So it's not most points all time yet it's listed as an official record. Weird.

  • @DSchultz05 Wilt scored 100 at hershery NOT at the garden

  • hell nah

  • Hopefully after next year's free agency, there will be more of these kinds of games in the future. :D

  • when the knicks are right,

    there's magic & electricity flowing..@ MSG

    get it back knicks

    KNICKS4LIFE

  • @gunlover2010 the garden lives when folk show up to play and play hard. We'll get that back. KNICKS ALL DAY EVERYDAY HEAVY.

  • knicks rule

  • this was the greatest run at the finals, ever

    only to be crused.... ;-(

  • hopefully the knicks glory days will return in the future sometime!

  • @Rancomz It was a great run, but I felt like our run in 1997 that ended up in the Pat Riley scandal had the potential to be greater. If there was ever a year for us to beat Jordan that was it. Riley and his F'd up schemes. Pathetic.

  • @Rancomz man, dont remind me yo. my beloved knicks have been trash since the 99-00 season. They did my dude Ewing dirty with that trade, but hey, i understand its a business...

  • @Rancomz yea but we had to win our last 6 or 7 games i believe (reg season) that took alot out of us

  • I just got goosebumps seeing this, at the same time realizing how good it felt that the Knicks always kicked Miami's ass after that series where Stern suspended like half of the Knick's players including Patrick Ewing for stepping on the sideline, 50 away from the fight. Talk about unfairness due to lack of common sense by the league. I hated Stern ever since.

  • i couldnt agree more...fuck miami and all their old ass retired fans!!! that was bullshit n if it didnt happen u can bet ur ass the knicks would have been the nba champions in 96!!!

  • Thank you Allan Houston for giving us one of the greatest moments in NBA history. This shot helped the Knicks to eventually make history in becoming the only #8 seeded team to ever make the NBA Finals!!

This was as great as the underdog NY Giants beating the undefeated N.E. Patriots in the 2008 Super Bowl. now that was ONE GIANT LOSS! :D

    GO NEW YORK!!

  • what difference does it make, they still lost in the finals

  • well we knew we didn't have much of a chance of winning against the Spurs since Ewing got injured, so just GETTING to the finals was a big enough deal for an 8th seeded team I'd say :)

  • True. I always see it as if we would have had Pat, we would have shocked the world of basketball: the Spurs took advantage of Ewing's absence, dominating the boards, if you remember. The stats don't show it, but I remember feeling like with Pat, we'd have posted up easy and have held our own on the boards. Oh well...

  • the spurs took advantage of bullshit calls, as duncan always has.....thats the way the spurs beat people, getting the good big men in foul trouble so duncan could dominate foul-plagued big men or backups....thats how the spurs always won....1999 finals...

duncan- 12 fouls in 229 min.

    robinson-14 fouls in 185 min.

camby- 25 fouls in 135 min.

    k.thomas- 23 fouls in 105 min.

    l.johnson- 22 fouls in 185 min

spurs= pay the refs to cheat for them

  • one GIANT loss... i like that, real creative

  • oh i have to admit i didnt think of that line... saw it on the news/papers :)

  • THE SHOT

  • i'll always love the knicks...im a hardcore fan, i'll love dem thru thick and thin and i definitely miss the knicks-heat rivalry..but i dunno if my heart can take that suspense anymore cuz when they go at it, its always right down to the wire

  • I'll never forget his massive fist pump/swing at 0:25, great Knicks moment!

  • first 8th seed to make it to the finals...since then the knicks have been downhill...until 2010 baby!

  • those where the days man.. I remember the unmatched atmosphere.. as great as any bulls game.

  • 1999 Maybe, but there was no chance of your Heat beating my Bulls in the playoffs the years we won it all. I mean Heat, Knicks, Pacers, Magic, Hawks, Pistons (Grant Hill yrs), etc. those were some tough and great teams out east gunning for my Bulls.

  • yea ure right, but 1999 we def. woulda won, i know the bulls were always the best tho.

  • the knicks had the best chance of challenging the bulls in 97 if it weren't for the knicks heat brawl

  • Comment removed

  • I love the Knicks.I have a Knick logo tatoo on my arm.Miss the Knicks from the 90´s and the Knicks-Heat series

  • you should get rid of it now lol

  • i've been trying to find a picture of houston doing the fist pump, and i cant find it anywhere. if anyone can find it and give me the link, i would appreciate it, thanks

  • heat/knicks rival was awesome... when i was a kid i hated the knicks. the teams were so even that their series were decide by a bounce

  • I miss that rivarly, hope it comes back one day.

  • who the fuck hates the knicks int he 90's. they had nothing but bad ass players throughout the 90's. from the ewing, oakley, starks, and manson team to the late 90s with spree, houston, childs, ward, camby, n lj. cmon man dont hate on the knickerbockers!

  • i hated them becuz of the heated rivarly they had with heat but i was a kid and that anger along with with the rivarly is dead

  • Yeah, people hated the Knicks, because of the rivalries. Plus, they were a pretty rough and tough cast of characters, especially when they had both Oakley and Mason.

  • along with larry johnson and kurt thomas

  • that was later, they traded Mason for LJ

  • The Knicks broke the Heat fans' hearts in their own house that day, such a great feeling. That time the Knicks had a hell of a team. I was 9 when I saw this game, brings back great memories.

  • those heat and knick team were so even and when that lucky bounce went in. it was like a daggar in the heart

  • Allen Houston was the "soft" member of the '99 Knicks; compared to the clowns they have now, he's hardcore.

  • chill man ya boy david lee and lil nate rob is tough as nails

  • What is Allen Houston thinking? He won't make the roster for the 2nd year in a row.

  • He made the roster didn't he? I mean, didn't he already get signed?

I agree with you, I dont understand the mentality. I guess New York is looking for anyone to get them out of this hole...

  • Yea he signed it doesnt matter though, walsh is just trying to put some fans in the stands till he goes after bosh bron and wade

  • those heat uniforms are very classy....

  • Gus johnson is amazing

  • how i wish h20 will come back! probably play in europe! hahah. . .NBA players now chose europe teams. . .

NBA now is not the only place in basketball. . .hahah. . .

i heard the old Shawn Kemp signed in a europe team too!

  • such a PROUD moment for knick fans everywhere!!!! still gives me chills!!!!

  • Don't forget PJ Brown.

  • Isiah Thomas = God's gift to the NY Knicks.

Which is like saying anal herpes is a gift to the human body.

  • that was supposed to be the heats championship year, all gone by a prayer shot wow

  • can some1 tell me why his number isn't retired yet?

oh thats rite fucking Jared Jeffreys has his NO.

  • Oh man Houston needs a proper tribute.

  • Allan Houston Rules!

  • Allan Houston was the guest speacher at my church fathers day weekend. Great guy.

  • I still hate all those Miami players to this day, such as PJ Brown... He is one of the main reasons im rooting against the celtics

  • Tim Hardaway, Alonzo Morning (purposefully misspelled), Glen Rice, I totally disliked as well.

The only Heat that I even remotely like is Brian Grant.

  • damn lol i was at that game damn the Knicks damn em!!! great game and series

  • Oh man, this was pure magic. Against those hated Heat beeeyotches no less! I'll never forget it.

  • Was That Gus Johnson Commentating?

  • Yeah, he was the Knicks' radio broadcaster. I think he does radio and TV for NY now.

  • that was the greatest season in knicks history... thats when i used to love allan houston and the knicks...now their garbage

  • tremendous...

    but we're shit now.

  • Dan Majerle done done it again. Yuk

  • i should hope he could get around those defenders seeing as though he took about 3 or 4 steps.

  • He clearly took 2 steps. Anyone could see that. It's not even close to being a travel.

  • Man, I was jumping around after that for so long! What's this video from ... some sort of official season recap? I'd like to have it.

  • This shot sent the franchise back a decade, because he got that absurd contract.

    Still love it.

  • the knicks were the true warriors through the 90's, but now there is no one left of them.

for real, new yorks defense was the best over this decade!

  • lol you must of forgot about the bulls defense? Because Michael Jordon I'm preettty sure won Defense Player of the Year reward.... more than once in the 90s, oh and his teammate Scottie Pippen did too lol.

  • ok mj and pippen were better defensive players, but the knicks had the better team defense

inthe middle of the 90's with oakley, starks, mcdaniel.......no blood, no foul.

not as hard as the original pistons, but nearly

  • I was a die hard knicks fan back in those days and I agree that if they played 82 games new york would've been at least a 5 seed.. but however things played out, you just knew miami wasn't gonna roll over them.. that rivalry was one of, if not the best in the nba in the late 90's.. this was my favorite shot of all time

    fire isiah!

  • It's not really that surprising that they went to the Finals as an 8th seed as time goes on. If that season was not strike shortened, the Knicks surely would have been a number 2 or 3 seed.

  • Wow...thats when we had heart...now we have some losers man!

  • this is the same playoffs where larry johnson hit the three and got fouled against the pacers to win the game

  • 8th seed to the finals..luv it..

  • =/ 99' finals.. i walked houstons airport with a ewing jersey on a trip i had dat summer.. memories

  • when you look closely, you can see tim hardaway moving away from allan houston driving to the basket. Why did he move out??Could've taken the charge or altered the shot...

  • well look at it the other way. the last thing you wanna do with 1 second left on the clock and a 1 point lead is put a 90% free throw shooter on the line.

  • I find it hilarious that these 10 year olds think that they know what they are talking about , and post comments saying that the guy traveled . Look at comments on basketball clips on youtube almost every time there is some idiot calling the play a travel.

  • what playoffs? 1999

  • big shooter

  • that is not a travel, especially not in nba terms.

  • If you go over the video in slow mo, you can see that at 0:14 he gets the ball and dribbles once, then at 0:15 he takes his hop step (you cant move after that one) then proceeds to take 2 more steps! Clearly a travel. But, not like that would change the outcome of that game. Oh, and yeah, tsoob, Mourining was with the team at that time, he joined the Heat in 92 or 93.

  • just kidding hah

  • thats not mourning you dumbass, he was still on charlotte...that was tim hardaway...some people's kids

  • Both of them were on the team then tsoob, hardaway was number 10 and mourning was 33, the one with the glasses@ 00:09 and then hes got his hands on his head at the end, without the goggles

  • It is Mourning. He was traded to Heat before 95-96

  • Mourning looked like Gary Payton after that shot.

  • shut the fuck up you dumb shit i'm so tired of people posting this shit on every video. if you wanna suck dick all day keep it to yourself

  • does amidov even watch basketball? he bounced , took two steps and then layed it up

  • Absolutely a Travel!!

  • Greatest shot in knicks history

(and possibly 2nd best in NBA history...behind Derek Fisher's shot

  • lmao 2nd best shot in history... not even

  • Top 10 easily... but 2nd best, no

  • lmfao..look at mourning face..lol..that guy was talking mad shit about the knicks that year....

  • Full 4th Quarter of this game on my page

  • greatest team 1998-99 knicks. or is it 99-00? W/e either way, that was the greatest knicks season even if they didnt win the title

  • Eight years later, I never get sick of the look on Alonzo's face after that shot! Word is that Allan wants to make a comeback.

  • Not a travel. Go play some ball on your own.

  • Travel or not,the Ball goes in!

  • yea u cant really see it, but he does actually dribble once b4 taken 2 steps. not a travel

  • Allan Houston is the definition of a class act, model athlete. My favorite of all-time. I enjoyed the two 50 pt. in 2003 games just as much as this shot. Because the teams sucked after 2000 and he gave us something to watch during those years. Where did the 50 pt. game video go? one of Marv Albert's last great calls in fact...

  • watch the hole game they got here they show replauys he fuken traveled

  • there is no travel, ur nuts... pure greatness. we owened the heat in the 90's. the heat are the knicks bitches

  • u did own miami but this was a travel watch it closeley the replay of the last minute of the game
