the problem is that many of us do no need some stories made up by other people thousands of years ago to get by, especially ones that have been used to bend and break the wills of society in order to extort common people's money and lives in the name of God. regardless of the actual meaning or practical implications found with in the bible, its a lack of trust with good reasoning behind it. its all about personal peace anyway, which can be found without religion.
