  • milk, cheese ,pasta sauce ,newspaper, durries, bbq sauce,666 pack of vic bitter . sorry i thought this was online shopping. my bad .

  • ouch! my broken cooler : \ wait a sec noo1 IT'S Sunn O)) (starts headbanging)

  • @cordfluidnevoie How the fuck can you headbang to this?!

  • @WackenOtto drunk and in slow motion

  • Sounds like a big black ocean liner blowing its devil horn as it churns across the Styx to Hades blood wet shores!

  • Imagine if the whole universe was made entirely of lead, then SUNN O))) would be ten times heavier...!!!!

  • Where's the music, I just hear static....

  • beautiful drone <3

  • They should make a christmas abum

  • sounds like a band ill listen to when im at the sun (:

  • are...are there any songs where they sing?

  • I just started to listen to Sunn O)) recently, I've heard of them for years but never took the time to listen to their music. I bought their albums Black One and White 2, does Attila Csihar do vocals on all of Sunn O)))'s cd's or is he just like a guest vocalist

  • @88DEATHwish08 Attila does some work with Sunn O))), but he is not a full time member. He has recorded some records for them, and played live with them, and I sure hope they will cooperate more in the future :)

  • to all the f**kers who call this stuff bad music - this is no music!

this is ambient, this is atmosphere and a great sort of it.

  • @666Advocatus I consider it music. "Ambient music", supposedly coined by the great Brian Eno, has been around for some time now, and Sunn O))) is one of several whom implement that heavy metal distortion into it.

  • @SyluxLockjaw Lick by balls pweeeease

  • @jjesaveluk Bake me a cute delicious cake with icing-drawn kittens on top and I'll consider it

  • @SyluxLockjaw My balls taste better than any kitten cake ^_^

  • BWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • People hate on this music. It's not about taking skill. It's recognized because of the ability to take such simplicity and make it sound ambient (Even though by Ambient, I mean borderline scary as fuck). I mean anyone can play it, but it's not about being able to play it. It's about using the music as an ambience. Sort of like Yoga music. Them guys and their never ending "Uuuuuuuummmmmm"s backed by Sitars or Didgeridoos.

  • Fuck I could play this shit before I even bought my 1st Guitar

  • This is the sound of Cthulhu snoring.

  • I like it.. It's more of a relaxing and soothing type of music to listen to at home. It lets your mind shut off, everything doesn't need to have a drum beat or be cluttered with loads of melodies. And the live experience is meant to be like bathing in sound.. It's personal preference as with any form of music.

  • @MJMorrey

Yeah it lets your mind shut off.

In otherwords it Takes Fuck all intelligence to play this shit

  • @jayzakk72 It does take intelligence, listening to the overtones of drone music. Listening and feeling the ambience, just the whole idea of this music would seem mad to some people but this band and others have a good following. Being a musician isn't all about playing fast it's also about feeling which these take to an extreme. I personally play fast technical music in my other band but I also like to relax to this style of ambient music.

  • @MJMorrey

It could be likened to abstract art where by its all about what is applied where and when and so forth but it just amazes me that this sort of stuff can rate a write up in guitar world magazine.

I dont expect to always see stuff on tech shred but man at least write about people who do more than just hit an off chord and let it ring.

  • ya'll, these are the funniest comments i'v ever read on youtube!

  • @TheSixx93

    not :O

    its O)))

  • Sunn 8==D)))

  • BVOOOOOMMMM

  • i wonder what band practice is like for these guys?

  • @markwheat182 smoked the fuck out

  • @markwheat182 Hallucinogens, Psycho-Actives, Stimulants, repeat.

  • Why is everybody hating?? This shit is for listening to when you are 1 meditating, or 2 high as fuck, or 3 both. Not for fucking parties or to engage the right side of your brain..

  • @simon12332: I would listen this at a party.

  • @LudicusMaximus Fuck yes man, If only they played drone at parties as opposed to that terrible terrible "party music"

  • Yeah. There's nothing like seven minutes of sounds of a broken refrigerator.

  • DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • wow this is shit

  • @gcmstarwars11 Yes, but we love shit lol

  • beautiful

  • My face after listening to this:

    O)))__O)))

  • this is like a 7:02 minutes long intro of a song...

  • @smokeclouds702 it certainly helps

  • This music is good.. get over it if you don't get it.

  • hello fuck wins!

  • There seems to be a lot of confusion in the comments. This is a band for musicians, or people with imaginations.

  • @LexJacobsLive So I suppose the author meant, that we should imagine some music to this?

  • Are drugs necessary to understand this?

  • My refrigerator made this noise once.

    Don't worry, its fixed now.

  • @monkeymagoo47 my refrigerator made this noise once too.

and when the mechanic came, i told him i never wanted it fixed...ever

  • @SamuelHellDay yep. well the videos aren't that fun to make. but the result, makes me want to continue to make these videos.

  • @SamuelHellDay i wouldn't. making these videos are fun

  • @SamuelHellDay i'd rather sit in front of my brother strumming his guitar a few times for 7 minutes

  • this sucks

  • drone doom.thats a paddlin'

  • i like the fast part

  • It's very mindless, but I think that's why it's good. It's puts me in a calmed state of mind.

  • these two white albums are my favourites

  • Umm.. yea, if they make a mistake playing live, no one will even notice that.

  • soothing

  • You really need good speakers for this.

  • FOCKING GOOD SONG!!!

    Cheers!

  • I like how there's no middle ground for the comments.

    It's truly a love/hate thing.

  • What the hell just happened?

  • that cover art is a drawing by artist Pieter Bruegel the elder made around 1568

    it's called The Bee-Keepers.

    nice song :p

  • @DeathFaceOfHonor

yap it is a dutch guy:) so am i:)

and the drawning is from 1567 ore 1568

    Cheers!

  • @nargarothfreak he was a flemish guy

  • @DeathFaceOfHonor

    what is flemish?

    and no dutch

    Cheers!

  • @nargarothfreak Vlaams, dombo. En jawel, hij was vlaams.

  • part 2?

  • I really don't get it. I mean, I listen to sick stuff like UNKLE, Sleep or Om but this is too much for me to comprehend.

  • This music is great for long and tedious tasks. I've ran half marathons several times and I think Doom and Drone Doom are great for long distance running because it sounds like how you feel and it forces you into the moment and won't let you escape. It's like each step of that run feels like an eternity. LOL!!! Another thing to try is to cram for a college final for about 12 hrs while listening to this the entire time. I know you probably think I'm sick, but give it a try and see what happens.

  • For me personally I love this kind of drone long feedback songs. I put this on the player and sit in my room, close my eyes and let it wash over me, mind mind creates images to the music. It feels like its being deprogrammed lol. Love it. But hey, its not for everyone.

  • Four chords played over resonant feedback for seven minutes, how innovative. Hipsters, do yourself a favor and check out Neurosis and Nadja. By the way, Sunn 0))) isn't as underground as they once were. It's time to flock to the next band that you'll ruin for everyone who actually appreciates the music for what it is and not just the fact that it's "so underground".

  • @DontPieceMe221 its not suppose to be innovative, its a form of art for them, they make it for themselves, if you like it you like it, if not then thats fine, I do however like Neurosis so ill give you that part of your comment. And yes they arent quite as underground as once was. Friend of mine explained to me about seeing them live, he basically said if its not attached on you its gonna shake off.

  • @eboga30 I respect these guys for sticking to their guns and playing what they want, but the way I hear people talk about them...it drives me crazy. People act like Sunn 0))) is first band to play this style of music. My comment was aimed at the idiots who worship Sunn because of their underground status. Thanks for being mature and not tearing me apart :)

  • @DontPieceMe221

    FUCKYOU

  • i respect these guys and their so called "music", but someone please explain what the hell is going on and what makes this music. it sounds like a guy playing with very loose strings with some heavy distortion - and thats it

  • i get it now! you gotta play several of their songs at the same time xD epic

  • At first, I thought this was just noise... But then, I don't know... It kinda... Clicked... Amazing music.

  • some suggestion, this band is booooooring

  • i actually really like this, i'm not rushing out to buy it, but has simple as it sounds it feels like alot of thought and time has actually gone into this...

  • so much talent here

  • Damn, the guitars could basically create a good white noise to lull me to sleep. I should try it, then see if I have dreams of like....traversing a wasteland or something, because that's what I would envision this music to go well with.

  • Oh my fucking god this is awesome...

  • Not bad, but it's far from the strongest track from that album.

  • So shitty, no skill, nothing.

  • @blink182studio HAHHAHA oh please, these are the two men from Goatsnake & Burning Witch. If you want balls to the wall heavy rock go to those bands, this is meditation music for the sick.

  • @blink182studio sucka my balls

  • @blink182studio

Coming from a guy who seems like a gigantic Blink fan, nobody gives a shit.

Do yourself a favor and broaden your music taste. For a fan of "punk", I bet you'd fucking hate Black Flag, or the Minutemen, or Rudimentary Peni. I could keep name-dropping bands you'd fucking hate because you're a retard.

  • @blink182studio because you know so much about music.

  • @blink182studio ya and blink182s the same dip shit

  • @blink182studio other than FUCKING AWESOME.

  • @blink182studio HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA omg HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA this is too much. Blink182??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH holy shit unreal

  • @blink182studio Yeah, Sunn O))) is terrible... I mean, God, Blink-182, THOSE guys are original!

    Fucking cunt.

  • Sehr geiles Bassgeboller!

  • i like the idea of this band but the music should go somewhere

  • @skunk0rock

Go see them live and you'll realize that this music DOES go somewhere.... Not just somewhere, but right in to your bones and brains!

  • This song is boring in the best way :D But that album cover is mad creepy o.o

  • Simpsons did it!

  • Usually, when Pitchfork or whatever indie music magazine hypes up a band, I can understand where they're croming from. I won't like every band, but I understand their merits for other people. This is just art for the sake of art though, ridiculously pretentious and not listenable at all.

  • @Slay318

Don't call this pretentious when you're a big enough sheep to actually read pitchjoke.

  • @ScrewLimbBizkit Don't remember saying I read Pitchfork. I happen to live in Amsterdam, and in a city like this, you can't happen but run into either American or British hipsters who either read Pitchfork or NME. My best friend works in a 'coffee-shop' and I'm pretty much part of the furniture over there. I hear all kinds of college kids hype up whatever band of the moment and I've been hearing Sun 0)))'s name being dropped quite regularly by metal-kids.

  • i like the part in the song where nothing happens for 7 minutes

  • @KRyPToNiTe1923 Bwahaha! That was funny.

  • @KRyPToNiTe1923 i like the other 2 seconds

  • @KRyPToNiTe1923 whats wrong with the other 2 seconds?

  • @VacLateralus *BROFIST*

  • Comment removed

  • @loliH9 :D

  • this is the most boring shit on earth

  • does anyone know of any other drone bands besides Earth, Sunn O))), Nadja, The Angelic Process and Om?

  • @fuel126

Moss, YOB, and Burning Witch are very good if you want to look into Drone.

  • Thhe hooded figures in this artwork remind me of the characters in Black Sabbath's "Mob Rules" album cover.

  • @CodyRicheson the illustration is of medieval beekeepers if you were at all curious, which is a good description of what Sunn o))) does in my book.

  • all of their songs sound different, which is an achievement in this genre

  • DEAAATH

  • This music clogs my bowels. I love it s2

  • i cant really listen to this if im just listening to it, but it fits surprisingly well when im in low-no sec space on Eve :D

  • now thats what i call shredding

  • hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 3alammmmm whith sda3 lkar

  • holy shit. I have a speaker system with a subwoofer and when i turned the volume to 5/8th of the way to maximum my subwoofer started vibrating like crazy.

    I think I love Sunn O))) more. :D

  • 7 dosen gösser dazu!

  • Gösser ist Plörre!

  • sounds like fuck buttons, fuck buttons is not a derogative word, its a band :)))

  • doesn't really sound like fuck buttons, but both bands are incredible.

  • there's a quality that Sun o))) and fuck buttons share, but they are entirely different stylistically

  • Sounds like some good ass drone imo.

  • sounds more like a tortured dog to me.....

  • it does but that's what makes it awesome

  • @Cowculus Omg that was funny dude i spit my drink laughing! My fridge actually knocks and shit i wish it sounded like this lol

  • @Cowculus -,-

  • @Cowculus

mine never sounds that epic though

  • its strange, sometimes this music drives me mad and i have to change it and other times i cant turn it off, its good to listen to as just ambience at a party though, i think as jam music its crap but i deffinatly has its place

  • And Thijz part II: so they added the "o )))" on the end to remedy that plus the "0" can be looked at as a loud speaker and the ")))" as sound waves travelling *if we humans could see them* and so it sort of fits apptly.

Hope that clears some of the bits you were not getting

Now whether or not you actually like the material is your choice.

I can however see why alot of people do not like it though....

As the sleeve note clearly states:

Best Listened To On Blackened Sub-Sound Systems

    Nekro

  • "Maximum Volume Yields Maximum Results"

  • @Metaalhoofdje123 "Maximum Volume Yields Maximum Goats"

  • @AcidinmyShoe Hahahah, yep!

  • Yep But this will take 2 post to clear up:

For starters Thijz they are playing electric guitars, the point is AMPLIFIER WORSHIP basically. They named the project Sunn0 ))) as there choice/love of the (now defunct but the brand is still under the ownership of FMIC or Fender Musical Instrument Corperation if you prefer) Sunn Amplification. Due to that copyright (and believe me FMIC are total cunts regarding copyright/trademark breaching and will always take the matters into court man!)

  • fuck Fender, they totally ruined it -.-

  • jeez talk about sustain in the beginning

  • talk about sustain in the ending ^^ the rest isnt on youtube but the song ends with a 7 minute long sustain! ^^

  • i listen to this band all the time. i dont need to be in a mood or anything. it's amazing.

  • Am I missing something here? I somehow fail to see this as a band and I feel to see this as music. Maybe I'm just tone-deaf, but it just sounds like someone holding a few keyboardnotes for 7 minutes...

  • Comment removed

  • interesting sound.........

  • Best sound ever!

  • Good for burning in new speakers. As for listening, well, I listen one album a month and it keeps my evil-level at the top : ))

  • I honestly love this music, it's just so entrancing and gloomy, it pulls you into an abyss of despair, filling your mind with a void of dreary nothingness......increadible

  • haha yea lol it makes my brain thinkin of nothing its like.. wow..

  • It's ambient. If you don't get it you're a fucking moron.

  • it has a lot more in common with metal than you can hear, obviously. not to mention, that ambient is mostly electronic-based music

  • come on guys sing along! you all know the words!

  • lol,,,true

  • normally with a band such as this, i'd agree with you. however, after meeting some of the members, i learned it's far from pretentious. it's just guys who didn't want to play music, but wanted to play their instruments. their songs DO have meaning, and they DO have rational for the sounds they make, but it's not meant to be music, so much as it is to be noise.

  • I dont Know but i see this as music

What is it sopose to be

  • drone.

  • This technically does count as making music though... According to John Cage, he said something like "any intentionally created or organised sound can be music".

Anyway, as long as they know what they want, good for them I say haha.

  • true dat.
