Diamantidis has said he's not interested in playing in NBA. He believes the game there doesn't fit his style of bb. I prefer EL, too, but that's a matter of taste, cos I find NBA closer to athletics than bb. As it's hard for Europeans to adopt, it's the same for Americans. Tony Delk came in 2006-2007 in PAO and was a disappointment. I'm Greek, too, Lithuania did beat us in 2007 but we had beaten them in 2006. What's your point? Stop organising tournaments and keep the world ranking as it is now?

I agree... FIBA rules are way better. NBA rules are made for driving to the basket/1 man offense.

But the USA is now training for the FIBA tournaments instead of just throwing a team together. They trained really hard for this tournament and you could see it with the 89-68 win over Russia and 120-84 over Lithuania.

Man on man offense shows which guy is a more athletic player not which guy is more intelligent in the game or which one can read the game better. In Europe there's pluralism in choices. In NBA very few players would prefer a pass to a dunk even when the situation doesn't favor the dunk. But then again there's this silly rule not to call an offensive foul under the basket. So RUN to kill the poor defender!!!
