This film is perfect: the characters, the acting, the plot and subplots, the music, etc. etc. I cared about all the characters.
Delarme's facial expressions tell it all! She's wonderful. And Jouannet is incomparably handsome. In my opinion no one can match him. I've watched it on Eurochannel several times and hope to watch it many more. I only wish I understood French so I could memorize the dialogue.

Si vieron la película, no creo que tenga segunda parte, pues en un espacio la amiga pone la maceta en la ventana y le dice Jeanne que lo hace para avisarle a su amado que el camino esta libre, al final cuando ella llega a la casa, hace lo mismo, por lo tanto, deduzco que va a tener un encuentro amoroso con Verner. A todos nos hubiese gustado que terminara con ellos abrazados y besándose, creo que eso fue lo que falto.
Werner y Jeanne no se encuentran. El parte al frente ruso, donde seguramente morira. Ella entra a la Ressistencia (el geranio en la ventana quiere decir que sus miembros estan reunidos). Jeanne, seguramente va a correr la misma suerte que los padres de Pierre.

I think it's at the beginning of the film or before the scene where she refuses to enter the guy's car. Not sure. I wanted to know what music the child was playing. Does anyone know ???
I think it's really funny that he has a German accent when he speaks French and a French accent when he speaks German... And although he has that strong accent in French, his grammar is perfect :-D

I watched this film last night on TV5. It made me cry so much. There are moments in your life when you can not say something, silence and tears help your pain down. I love 2 main characters much, their eyes exposed more than their words.

Ce film est magnifique, Thomas Jouannet excellentissime et beau à souhait...
En effet il ne faut pas confondre les soldats de la Werhmarcht et ceux de la Waffen SS qui eux étaient des antisémites purs et durs. C'est d'ailleurs eux qui étaient chargés de garder les camps de concentration notament la section a tête de mort c'est à dire les Totenkopf.
Pour en revenir au film, la musique est divine, et cette histoire d'amour vous fend le coeur...
Un film plein d'humanité et de bonté ! Cet allemand est comme beaucoup d'autres allemands, enrôlés de force pour aller combattre loin de leur patrie ! Cette guerre a engendré 20 000 000 de tragédies. Belle connerie ! On comprend cela en regardant ce magnifique film !
Une très belle vidéo qui résume cette passion naissante mais impossible entre cet allemand si cultivé et amoureux de la France, et cette jeune femme patriotique qui refusera de lui parler.
Oui, theDragibus, la guerre est une belle connerie ! Mais les hommes l'oublient à chaque fois.
Quant à notre beau Werner, il va certainement mourir sur le front de l'Est, et il le sait déjà !

This is the Occupation, the Germans were everywhere in France. The young woman, Jeanne, and her grandfather have to accept the German officer, Werner in their house and as a sign of hostility they refuse to talk to him...But as they listen to him, they realize he is not that bad.
The beauty of this love story is in the looks between them.

Debe de ser una película preciosa, aunque el tema que toca para mí es bastante cruel y muy doloroso. Es un gran vídeo y la música de Beethoven le va muy bien.

This is a very moving video Claudia Zeynep just sent it to me,I love your titles and the choice of music,your editing and story-telling are superb as always I've never heard of this film, the way you combine music and dialogue always impresses meand you're not afraid to tackle long pieces her face when he has to leave 8.24 is heartbreaking 9.32 nearly cried just lovely 5/5 gone to faves.
