I loved the 4Seasons. my favorite song is SHOW GIRL which you never hear any where but at my house. It was the flip side of 45 of TELL IT TO THE RAIN. It is not on any compilation or box set of anything I can finf of theres. It should be. Listen to it if you have the original single on Phillips.

I know for sure you can get a cd which has this song on it.I have almost every song they ever did. I may be missing a very few that never made it on an album
A #1 song for The Four Seasons in the summer of 1964. I will always feel that if it had not been for The Beatles, The Four Seasons would have been the breakout act of the 1960's. Even though The Beatles dominated that decade, The Four Seasons also made their mark.

I love this song cause we always wore hand me down clothes. I learned how to work with what showed up. I am grateful for the clothes I would get and the creativity it taught me. I also know that God provides and he believes in recycling. God always took care of me. He has given me so much stuff that I have come to learn that it is all stuff. WOW!, I was 13 and in 8th grade when this came out...along with Transistor Radios. I'm reminded of the last "Poodle Skirts"...girls with "Bobby Socks" and ponytails...Intense puppy loves every 2 weeks. Those days had to pass but thank God the memories haven't...I'm 60 now. I always thought Frankie Valle was inhaling Helium when he sang Falsetto...of course i know better now...but it was hard, if not impossible, to imitate his voice. I Love that era sooooo much!

I was at this taping which was at the Brooklyn Hts Promenade 1964, I was 12 going on 13 and was a Four Seasons fan as most around the NYC area was then, then came along the Beatles and the British invasion and I loved that scene from then on. Del Shannon was a under rated singer and musician and really should have gotten his due respect, Frankly was cool in his day! I was at this taping which was at the Brooklyn Hts Promenade 1964, I was 12 going on 13 and was a Four Seasons fan as most around the NYC area was then, then came along the Beatles and the British invasion and I loved that scene from then on. Del Shannon was a under rated singer and musician and really should have gotten his due respect, Frankly was cool in his day! I wish some of you not write about mob hits as I am tired watching the Soprano reruns.

The killers were two men who'd arrived a few minutes before the 9 a.m. rubout. They knelt in the snow behind some shrubs. When Franconero, 40, emerged from his home, a volley of .32-caliber bullets met him head-on. It was rumored that Franconero had been blabbing to authorities about certain unsavory types and he'd incurred the ultimate penalty.

Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons was one of the greatest musical acts of the sixties. Is it any wonder that they made it to the Hall of Fame musically? AHHHH! This brings back wonderful memories!

@kinkybeatle Had the 4 Seasons released "Silence Is Golden" as their follow-up A-side single, instead of "Save It For Me," they would have had two consecutive number one hits. Glad The Tremoloes covered it three years later.

Franky cannot hold Del Shannon's jock.. It is not even close. Del was a complete musician and a "master class" vocalist.. Vally was a gimmick.

This song always reminds me of working at the auto parts store when I was in high school. Heard it quite often. That was only back in 2001!!!! :-) Long live the oldies!!!!

@BobbyColePopMusic Thanks for the info. I live in Canada and believe it or not, K-Tel, the Predecessor to Time-Life Music had Frankie come to Toronto, Ontario to promote an Album featuring The Best Of The Four Seasons. They even got Chubby Checker, as well as the Late Bing Crosby.

I am a Newarker too born and raised. Everytime I hear this particular song, I think of my days in the local playground blasting WABC AM Radio over the speakers. And for some reason everytime I entered the playground this song would be playing. Nice memories of my days in Newark!!!
