Obama is multiracial, if dems were part of the KKK i doubt he would be in office... oh the irony, now im talking about something other than how epic this song is.
It is best to respect what is required by the policies of ESPN and keep your political issues out of the public scene than get into serious trouble. Such policies are with any employer and such employers do have the right to fire you for saying the wrong thing. When you work for your employer, you are also representing them as you are to respect the rules, regulations and policies required by your employer. Hank Williams Jr. got what he deserves and could be taken to court on what he said.
Never heard shit about that when Bush was pushed around by a democratic congress, Obama had to years with a democratic congress, what was the excuse then?
@nsu131 Oh please... There is a reason for that. He's worse than Bush!!! All the (D's) are second guessing him. He totally lied his way into office, like most others...
The D's complained about Bush, Obama is worse! He's spent MORE money in less than one term than Bush spent in two, and all the civil rights violations? He's been making Bush look whimpy in that department..
@nsu131 Obama has done plenty. He's increased out debt almost as much as Bush did in 8 years. Also, Obama had a DemoKKKRat congress for two years. Sorry Dem, you're going down to defeat next November and your DemoKKKRat lies won't be enough to save you.
Hey FrankSmith1420. Hank pulled their rights to use the song. Not the other way around. He never said obama was like Hittler, he was comparing John Boehner's golf game with Barack Obama and said it was a major mistake.
He said quote "That would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu. Not hardly. In the shape this country is in?" Meaning it should have never happened. Obama is one of the most hated men in America, why because he is doing a terrible job.
Hank and anyone else should be able to say whatever they hell they want to say no matter how disrespectful it is. Thats what the whole "freedom of speech" thing is all about. This country has gone down the shitter because of political correctness and everyone worrying about offending someone. Guess what, I dont give a flying fuck if I offend you! Likewise, I dont care about people trying to offend me! Wake up people!!
@SimuLord The only person to blame here is Hank Williams for not keeping his fucking mouth shut. Actions have consequences, you think he would've learned that by now.
when the FCC under the Obama admin. tells ESPN that if they don't want any problems with their next licensing application they better pull the song, what choice do they have, get your head out of the sand ostriges
@theboysof95 That never happened, lunatic. How do you you just make shit up like that out of thin air? Do you have to drink paint thinner or bleach first? Or is it an innate talent?

You keep doing what you're doing. People will respect you for not being a follower.
@jamis0nify See.. I'm not entirely sure they are the same pill. Excuse me for jumping to conclusions, I just thought that someone calling people like me "sheep" because of Hank Fucking williams would be republican. I guess you're just one of those folks who is just. above it all. One of the few with the mental ability to recognize the futility of our political discourse. Maybe one day I'll be like you, an outsider looking in.. a person more interested in seeing destruction than preventing it.
@underlinedbluetext I called you a sheep because you jumped on the political turnip truck. It didn't help with all the back and forth with others... People were worried about how much Bush spent... Obama spent even more!!! D's said stop spending money!!! OMG right?
What did the D's do when THEY got control of the reins? Spend faster?
Glass-Steagal was eliminated under a D. It was abused under an R.
@jamis0nify Well... I was angry about the cost of war. But my larger concern was our nations willingness to go to war without an actual cause. We are still paying for what Bush did. Not only that... the Bush Tax cuts have greatly hurt us. The job creators are nowhere to be found. Yes Obama extended that, but he had no other choice. Obama spent money DOMESTICALLY. Do you recognize the difference between domestic spending and defense spending?... one is MUCH more expensive in the long run.
@underlinedbluetext OMG... I'm surprised you went there... Weren't the D's against the wars? Which president has spent more on wars than Bush? Oh yeah, Obama! Y'all b1tched about Bush?? Where did your MORALS go when the party changed? Oh, it's OKAY now? Bama has outspent Bush on war. B had eight years.
Bama spent money DOMESTICALLY??? To feed the rich? Yeah, you're right! He did. What about all the starving inner city blacks who believed in his CHANGE? Ha Ha!! SUCKERS!!!
I'm not an outsider looking in. I'm just one capable of forming my own opinion, without the need for someone to guide me to the 'proper' conclusion.
Be told what to follow, or march to your own conscious. That's up to you. Be your own man, stand for the truth, you're going to get ridiculed, by those you look up to in the media. They don't work for you..
@jamis0nify Alright fine. Let's say that is the case. You're open minded.... well so am I dude. You don't even know me. You and I aren't talking face to face. You have to understand that there is a disconnect when you have political discussions like this online.
I already believe these things to be true. I do not let the media guide my opinion. I've got my own.
You're towing the line just as much as I am. You can CLAIM that you aren't... but that doesn't change the fact that you are.
@jamis0nify ...lol so you ARE a republican? what the fuck happened to red pill blue pill?
Obama has spent more on wars than Bush, source please.
So I suppose that you think Obama should've just... pulled out of every war when he got into office? How terribly naive of you. Do you understand the implications of war? the commitment? the LONG TERM costs?
This is not fucking tiddlywinks, dude. I don't know what world you live in. But there are always consequences for military action like that.
You seem to have missed the part about the red and blue pills being the same...
What were the D's talking about when Bush was in office again??? Hmmmmm... Funny how that works. The other guy is wrong, but you're right for doing the exact same thing? Not only that, but deciding the AMERICAN CITIZENS can be KILLED by Obama's FIAT decision.
Wanna play the party line now? We can kill you. No court, no justice... DIE!
@jamis0nify And you can cite all of our obligations and debts that we have. Fact of the matter is.... we're fucked... and we've been fucked for a long time. Hasn't anyone noticed this? Yes, we are headed for a potential economic meltdown. But will it be Obama's fault? nope. The crucial mistakes were made a long time ago, based on Capitalistic pipedreams.
This is where we are now. Obama is doing the best he can given a remarkably impossible situation.
@underlinedbluetext You've got that right! Potential economic meltdown??? It IS Obama's fault! Who did we give a TON of money to? The banks! Those same people who made a buttload of money defrauding the people, we gave the money to them!!!
Clinton repealed Glass-Steagal.
Think what you want about Obama, His polling numbers show how good he's doing. Worse than Bush is hard to beat. Time to break out the race card..
@jamis0nify We bailed them out because we had to. It's as simple as that. "Let them fail" sounds great... but we have to deal in reality. We would have gone into a horrible recession had we not taken action.
Guess what?.... I don't approve of how he's doing! He is spineless... and he consistently plays into the hands of the republicans. I am not happy at all with his performance so far.
Does that mean I am going to abandon democratic values and vote republican? lol.... no.
@underlinedbluetext Are you kidding me? They defrauded everyone, for their own benefit, knowing we'd bail them out. You're okay with that? Not only did your kids just get screwed, but your grandkids too.
I'm sorry you are under their thumbs. Stop being a sucker, and realize when you and your progeny has been stolen from. Unless you don't give a shit about your kids... Then don't worry about it.... Just saying. It's not about parties, they're BOTH going to screw you...
@Rocatl hey motherfucker, i said nothing wrong. I plainly stated a fact he said and i quote "don't ask me a question if you don't want the answer". Now YOU must be ignorant. I have a freedom of speech and that's the way I feel. (= Have a nice day f-u-c-k tard MUAH!
@underlinedbluetext , I said no such thing. I have noted, however, that in the case of the Dixie Chicks, it was the consumers, the majority of Dixie Chicks', audiences, who stopped buying records and attending concerts. In Hank Jr's case, it was the establishment, who decided that he should not represent their multi-million dollar business. I'd say both groups have every right, to choose whom they support, but if Hank had been referring to Bush, I believe he'd still be in the game.
@cowgirlmoon but it was the conservative "establishment" that decided that the Dixie Chicks were out of line. ESPN decided that what he said was out of line... a lot of people felt the same way. It WAS offensive, even if he wasn't calling Obama Hitler. His general tone was one of blind "hate", and he was CLEARLY drunk. I had no problem with what he said... but his tone was offensive.
@jamis0nify ... lol so now.... we're the stupid ones? read the fucking comment again, shit for brains. i fully understand that he wasn't calling obama hitler.
that does not change the fact that the comment was in bad taste.... not only that... but the man was clearly drunk off his ass.
You aren't one of those folks who think that Hank Williams is being denied his right to free speech... are you? lol I've heard it a bunch from you stupid fucking faux news SHEEP.
Seems like you're not one very capable of open debate without using expletives, or even personal attacks... My my...
Whether YOU decided it was in bad taste or not, do you not support the idea that EVERYONE has a RIGHT to an opinion? Were I to guess, I'd say not considering your abuse of those who differ in opinion.
If you can get your head around it, I don't drink the red, OR the blue, Kool-Aid. Pick your poison.
@underlinedbluetext, No it wasn't the "conservative establishment," who decided that the Dixie Chicks were out of line, it was their own, conservative fans. They stopped buying records and attending concerts. (money talks) Though I don't think Hank was comparing BHO to Hitler, the analogy was tiresome and personally, I think the remarks of both entertainers, were offensive. btw, I thought GW's response to the Dixie Chicks, was commendable. He only said it was their right to free speech.
@cowgirlmoon Spot on. And I don't think you should doubt for one second that Obama would say the same thing about Hank Williams.
Now you can argue about who decided the Dixie Chicks crossed the line. But it is a fact that fox news covered that story extensively. Had they not, perhaps it would not have been as bad.
@underlinedbluetext , My doubts about what the prez would say, have been confirmed, many times over. Perhaps you haven't been listening. BHO blames, or lectures conservatives for everything they do and say.
One of his first public responses to a racial situation, was to blame the Boston Police, saying that they acted, "stupidly," before he had any facts.
Your specualtion of the Dixie Chicks and Fox News coverage is just your opinion which, in my opinion, is quite biased.
@underlinedbluetext , Not an example of race, but example of how this president uses every situation to blame, accuse and admonish. His constant complaints about Fox News is a good example of his disdain for any verbage, that is in oposition to his policies and direction of leadership. He has made negative, desparaging and chiding remarks about the Tea Party, but now, supports and praises the Wall Street protestors... the very establishments who received our money and put us into debt.
@Joeyg50 Conservatives are awake..... That's why the Tea Parties have sprung up. Democrats need to back away from the coo-aid..... It's why they think they are awake.
@cowgirlmoon please don't confuse this for disrespect. i see on your profile that you are much older than i am, and i should therefore have been more respectful to you. just consider it lively debate, i'm sure you can handle it.
@underlinedbluetext, Thank you for honoring me as an elder. You have been respectufl, not called me names, or insulted my character. I appreciate this exchange. Truth is, we citizens have become more supportive of our parties, than our constitution. Our leadership is out of control. They have made themselves, elite! BOTH parties have us fighting each other, keeping us distracted, while they have been stealing our tax money, our power and our individual rights, But we are waking up, right?
@cowgirlmoon I also will not recognize the notion that, had he said it about bush, he would not have been punished. ESPN has a product they need to sell, and advertisers they need to please. Also, it is well known that politics are not "allowed" in sports. The two do not mix well, at all. And ESPN puts a lot of effort into keeping the two worlds separate. This is not a left/right thing. ESPN was simply saying... "this is not what we're about".... no politics, just sports.
@underlinedbluetext , My statement that Hank would not have been punnished, had his remark been in reference to Bush, was rather, tongue-in-cheek and expressed out of frustration. While I have no great fondness for GWB, I wish BHO would step up & take responsibility for his failed policies. Politics not allowed in sports? Hahaha! Tell that to Rush Limbaugh, who was not allowed to purchas the Rams, because Al Sharpton made false accusations of racism.
@cowgirlmoon that said, ESPN completely mishandled this. I don't know who made it a story, but it shouldn't have been. This should've been an internal matter... but there were public statements made by ESPN about it, so they brought this on themselves.
But I suppose they did the best they could. Now I know that ESPN does not support ANY political views. I wouldn't want some bleeding lib singing the song, nor would I want some backwoods redneck to do it.
@underlinedbluetext .... backwoods redneck? That sounds rather biased against low income hill people, farmers, or country folk, who struggle to be responsible for themselves and their own survival, while refusing to demand a plate at the public trough. (If you have time, do some research on AGENDA 21. It's a UN agenda, under the pretty name of "sustainable communities... sounds good on the surface, but it is a power & land grab, like Russia & China did, when they moved everyone off the land.
@cowgirlmoon It was the establishment who decided the Dixie Chicks were bad. Just because the R's ate their own children publicly, doesn't mean that the D's don't do the same thing. They just hide it better, but they're no different.
Go ask the inner city black folks how they're doing? Oh, they're WORSE??? Look at the official unemployment rates by race and age. Then look at the REAL rates. I'd hate to be a young black male right now... Job? GFL (Good Luck.)
@jamis0nify, "the R's ate their own children publically?" Nope, that isn't biased or overstated, at all.
It wasn't "The Republicans," who did that, though most of their audience were probably, Republican voters. The Dixie Chicks insulted their fans.... they should have known who their fans were.
Ask the inner city blacks? Darlin, we are ALL wondering WHY BHO and his administration is not implimenting policies to HELP THEM, instead they are enslaving them to govt. entitlements.
@cowgirlmoon If you believe that, what else do you believe? That the media doesn't sway the opinions of the people who follow them?
So when (R) Rush Limbaugh went on and on about the Dixie Chicks, talking about how unpatriotic they are, that didn't influence any of the sheep??? When (R) Faux News went on and on about it... It had no impact on their audience??? The sheep made up their own minds? Really???
You can't possibly say that the Neocons were their only fans...
@jamis0nify , I did not Say that the media doesn't influence. In fact, it influences our society too much... and I did not say anything about neocons. I said that the majority of the Dixie Chicks fans, were conservatives... (Most country fans, are conservatives) probably, most, being Republican voters. That's the trouble with you cool-aid drinkers, you are so sure of what your media feeds you, you assume things that aren't true, in order to secure your own beliefs, within yourself.
@jamis0nify , I do not require your support, or approval. You have the right to believe whatever you please. The truth does not change, in order to align with our desires, or perspectives. We can only, align ourselves with truth, if we desire, or perceive truth, as important.
Celebrities never learn..Shut your moronic mouth on politics and sing your songs we pay you to sing. What's ironic is the Dixie Chicks spouted off on President Bush and their careers torpedoed just as fast as ole fellow country artist Hank Jr slamming Obama.
Lighten up Francis!

@nsu131 The sad thing is that that basically happened when the Democrats controlled both houses of congress.
Actually it was more like this:
Obama: I want something done.
Congress: Okay, lets do this.
Senate Republicans: We want more pork barrel spending in this bill so we can complain about pork barrel spending.
Senate Democrats: Sure, it's not like you won't vote for the bills after we pass your massive pork barrel spending... right?
Senate Republicans reject the bill.

ESPN is a private company and they have the "right" to choose who they affiliate themselves with.
Its not about PC either. It's about pleasing the advertisers that are a huge source of income for them.

@cowgirlmoon So... its okay to ruin the dixie chicks career because of political convictions... but not hank williams?
underlinedbluetext 4 months ago
@underlinedbluetext , I said no such thing. I have noted, however, that in the case of the Dixie Chicks, it was the consumers, the majority of Dixie Chicks', audiences, who stopped buying records and attending concerts. In Hank Jr's case, it was the establishment, who decided that he should not represent their multi-million dollar business. I'd say both groups have every right, to choose whom they support, but if Hank had been referring to Bush, I believe he'd still be in the game.
cowgirlmoon 4 months ago
@cowgirlmoon but it was the conservative "establishment" that decided that the Dixie Chicks were out of line. ESPN decided that what he said was out of line... a lot of people felt the same way. It WAS offensive, even if he wasn't calling Obama Hitler. His general tone was one of blind "hate", and he was CLEARLY drunk. I had no problem with what he said... but his tone was offensive.

You sheep are sad. Has no one heard of an ANALOGY? Look it up if you're ignorant as to the definition.
jamis0nify 4 months ago
@jamis0nify ... lol so now.... we're the stupid ones? read the fucking comment again, shit for brains. i fully understand that he wasn't calling obama hitler.
that does not change the fact that the comment was in bad taste.... not only that... but the man was clearly drunk off his ass.
You aren't one of those folks who think that Hank Williams is being denied his right to free speech... are you? lol I've heard it a bunch from you stupid fucking faux news SHEEP.
underlinedbluetext 4 months ago
@underlinedbluetext Drunk or being honest? Which one is it???
Seems like you're not one very capable of open debate without using expletives, or even personal attacks... My my...
Whether YOU decided it was in bad taste or not, do you not support the idea that EVERYONE has a RIGHT to an opinion? Were I to guess, I'd say not considering your abuse of those who differ in opinion.
If you can get your head around it, I don't drink the red, OR the blue, Kool-Aid. Pick your poison.
jamis0nify 4 months ago
@underlinedbluetext, No it wasn't the "conservative establishment," who decided that the Dixie Chicks were out of line, it was their own, conservative fans. They stopped buying records and attending concerts. (money talks) Though I don't think Hank was comparing BHO to Hitler, the analogy was tiresome and personally, I think the remarks of both entertainers, were offensive. btw, I thought GW's response to the Dixie Chicks, was commendable. He only said it was their right to free speech.
cowgirlmoon 4 months ago
@cowgirlmoon Spot on. And I don't think you should doubt for one second that Obama would say the same thing about Hank Williams.
Now you can argue about who decided the Dixie Chicks crossed the line. But it is a fact that fox news covered that story extensively. Had they not, perhaps it would not have been as bad.
underlinedbluetext 4 months ago
@underlinedbluetext , My doubts about what the prez would say, have been confirmed, many times over. Perhaps you haven't been listening. BHO blames, or lectures conservatives for everything they do and say.
One of his first public responses to a racial situation, was to blame the Boston Police, saying that they acted, "stupidly," before he had any facts.
Your specualtion of the Dixie Chicks and Fox News coverage is just your opinion which, in my opinion, is quite biased.
cowgirlmoon 4 months ago
@cowgirlmoon who said anything about race? that has nothing to do with this, no matter how badly you want it to!
what does that situation have to do with respecting a persons right to free speech? You're the one playing the race card here!
Obama has publicly agreed with republican ideas/ ideology on a number of occasions. You guys don't want to admit it!
and it's a fact that fox news decides the conservative agenda. if you're not willing to see that point, i dont see us getting anywhere.
underlinedbluetext 4 months ago
@underlinedbluetext , Not an example of race, but example of how this president uses every situation to blame, accuse and admonish. His constant complaints about Fox News is a good example of his disdain for any verbage, that is in oposition to his policies and direction of leadership. He has made negative, desparaging and chiding remarks about the Tea Party, but now, supports and praises the Wall Street protestors... the very establishments who received our money and put us into debt.

@cowgirlmoon Conservatives need to wake up.

@Joeyg50 Conservatives are awake..... That's why the Tea Parties have sprung up. Democrats need to back away from the coo-aid..... It's why they think they are awake.

@cowgirlmoon please don't confuse this for disrespect. i see on your profile that you are much older than i am, and i should therefore have been more respectful to you. just consider it lively debate, i'm sure you can handle it.
underlinedbluetext 4 months ago
@underlinedbluetext, Thank you for honoring me as an elder. You have been respectufl, not called me names, or insulted my character. I appreciate this exchange. Truth is, we citizens have become more supportive of our parties, than our constitution. Our leadership is out of control. They have made themselves, elite! BOTH parties have us fighting each other, keeping us distracted, while they have been stealing our tax money, our power and our individual rights, But we are waking up, right?
cowgirlmoon 4 months ago
@cowgirlmoon I also will not recognize the notion that, had he said it about bush, he would not have been punished. ESPN has a product they need to sell, and advertisers they need to please. Also, it is well known that politics are not "allowed" in sports. The two do not mix well, at all. And ESPN puts a lot of effort into keeping the two worlds separate. This is not a left/right thing. ESPN was simply saying... "this is not what we're about".... no politics, just sports.
underlinedbluetext 4 months ago
@underlinedbluetext , My statement that Hank would not have been punnished, had his remark been in reference to Bush, was rather, tongue-in-cheek and expressed out of frustration. While I have no great fondness for GWB, I wish BHO would step up & take responsibility for his failed policies. Politics not allowed in sports? Hahaha! Tell that to Rush Limbaugh, who was not allowed to purchas the Rams, because Al Sharpton made false accusations of racism.
cowgirlmoon 4 months ago
@cowgirlmoon that said, ESPN completely mishandled this. I don't know who made it a story, but it shouldn't have been. This should've been an internal matter... but there were public statements made by ESPN about it, so they brought this on themselves.
But I suppose they did the best they could. Now I know that ESPN does not support ANY political views. I wouldn't want some bleeding lib singing the song, nor would I want some backwoods redneck to do it.
It should be FUN. Not divisive.
underlinedbluetext 4 months ago
@underlinedbluetext .... backwoods redneck? That sounds rather biased against low income hill people, farmers, or country folk, who struggle to be responsible for themselves and their own survival, while refusing to demand a plate at the public trough. (If you have time, do some research on AGENDA 21. It's a UN agenda, under the pretty name of "sustainable communities... sounds good on the surface, but it is a power & land grab, like Russia & China did, when they moved everyone off the land.
cowgirlmoon 4 months ago
@cowgirlmoon It was the establishment who decided the Dixie Chicks were bad. Just because the R's ate their own children publicly, doesn't mean that the D's don't do the same thing. They just hide it better, but they're no different.
Go ask the inner city black folks how they're doing? Oh, they're WORSE??? Look at the official unemployment rates by race and age. Then look at the REAL rates. I'd hate to be a young black male right now... Job? GFL (Good Luck.)
jamis0nify 4 months ago
@jamis0nify, "the R's ate their own children publically?" Nope, that isn't biased or overstated, at all.
It wasn't "The Republicans," who did that, though most of their audience were probably, Republican voters. The Dixie Chicks insulted their fans.... they should have known who their fans were.
Ask the inner city blacks? Darlin, we are ALL wondering WHY BHO and his administration is not implimenting policies to HELP THEM, instead they are enslaving them to govt. entitlements.
cowgirlmoon 4 months ago
@cowgirlmoon If you believe that, what else do you believe? That the media doesn't sway the opinions of the people who follow them?
So when (R) Rush Limbaugh went on and on about the Dixie Chicks, talking about how unpatriotic they are, that didn't influence any of the sheep??? When (R) Faux News went on and on about it... It had no impact on their audience??? The sheep made up their own minds? Really???
You can't possibly say that the Neocons were their only fans...
jamis0nify 4 months ago
@jamis0nify , I did not Say that the media doesn't influence. In fact, it influences our society too much... and I did not say anything about neocons. I said that the majority of the Dixie Chicks fans, were conservatives... (Most country fans, are conservatives) probably, most, being Republican voters. That's the trouble with you cool-aid drinkers, you are so sure of what your media feeds you, you assume things that aren't true, in order to secure your own beliefs, within yourself.

jamis0nify 4 months ago
@jamis0nify , I do not require your support, or approval. You have the right to believe whatever you please. The truth does not change, in order to align with our desires, or perspectives. We can only, align ourselves with truth, if we desire, or perceive truth, as important.

Celebrities never learn..Shut your moronic mouth on politics and sing your songs we pay you to sing. What's ironic is the Dixie Chicks spouted off on President Bush and their careers torpedoed just as fast as ole fellow country artist Hank Jr slamming Obama.
