  • I didn't know she was running on the day i filmed this, so had to look twice to make sure i wasn't seeing things. I remember seeing her on the NYMR when i was doing a walk in the forest along side the line.Wished I had a video camera with me that day. Any way many thanks, & regards.

  • this came past my shcool when we were in class, ironically we were readin harry potter 1 on the bit just after the hogwarts express when all of a sudden that whistle blasts out and the whole class laughed and looked out the window to see it was sir nigel gresley, my teacher thought it was the hogwarts express

  • i was by the tracks in hensall when this train came by. we get a lot of rare trains in hensall especialy class 47s.

  • yeah the stations got a nice old look to it ecpecialy the signal box and the old trespassers warning sign.

    The design is wonderful.

    A Japanese steam train is only black.

  • To say this locomotive was built in the 1930's & to see it still running today, we must thank the people who saved her & keep her looking good. Also for keeping her running.So this video is a tribute to these people.Did the Japanese steam locomotives ever get painted in any other colours at all? I'll have to check out what different types of Steam locomotive you have.Always good to learn about trains around the world.Thank you for your kind comments Yamabnsf.Regards

  • Yes it was built by the LNER (London North Eastern Railway) at the Plant Doncaster in South Yorkshire.
