It feels like the animation is expressing the Joy's of the past, and the Sadness of the time thats has gone by. The passing of nature and time, The happy days of our lives, flowing through the green wind.....never to return......

Actually, their eyes are not smaller. That would make no sense whatsoever.

East Asians just have 3 folds in the eyelid compared to 2 for Caucasians.

Well that would then make there eye's virtually smaller? wouldn't it? or seem smaller? Can you deny that? I mean there eyeballs aren't smaller... obviously. But I'm talking about the part that is visible through their eyelids, and of course I'm only talking about SOME and not ALL, because I've met some Japanese who have the same size "eyes" as myself, and my "eyes" are large even by western standards. For instance Okinawans are famous for having large "eyes". But Anime eyes are unattainable.
