orbkeller son, I gained over 12 ins on my jump by completing the training course over at 50inch vertical[dot]com. now being outrebounded is something I don't have to worry about in a game finally, heh
#VIDEOPOSTERID# I'm 5 8 and I can do fancy windmill dunks. Truthfully, anyone can do it, just follow the right training program. I personally recommend the training at | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | but any workout could be used if you can check they work
I respect this guy for his respect for his players and his unwillingness to make excuses or shove blame somewhere else. I'll take the Zen Master any day of the week though, Van Gumby seems a little to much like a dictator on the floor, Phil makes his point with a couple words or a stare, he preps his team for these moments all year. Fuck yea, see you guys at the parade!
when he says he didnt put rafer alston because he hadnt played in 10-12 minutes... nelson hadnt played in four months.. who would have the better rythm.. fuck this guy
I am a lakers fan but I must say that i love this guy. he never uses ant excuses. He takes responsibility for his own mistakes. I think his is a very very smart coach if not the smartest one in nba right now.
I too love the guy as a personality, but he's been a pretty dumb fucking coach in this series. There's no way Nelson should be playing any more than 8-10 minutes a game. There's absolutely no reason to NOT FOUL the Lakers with 11 seconds left and your team up 3, REGARDLESS of how bad you're shooting free throws. He should have taken Howard OUT of the game here and there the same way Phil Jackson used to take Shaq out of the game to avoid the intentional fouls. The guy blew it for his team.
I agree with your points. But in hindsight everything is 20/20. the guy RISKS. gets timeout when he should. but above all he admits his mistakes. pay attention to his language. he make the game fun. if D/H had made one of those FT, then we would be talking about something else.
I like Stan, he's a good coach, and a very funny guy in my opinion. People critisize his game plans but the Magic were just one free throw and a Lee running layup away from being 3 - 1 right now
female reporter: can you describe the free throw shooting?
Van Gundy: 59%
female reporter: Ok! Thank you!

Good job protecting your player, but its pretty obvious that the finals atmosphere makes you and your player floating.

11 secs left ur up by 3 and ur team is shooting 59% from the line...why would u foul?
triplen3t 2 years ago
No need to foul. Fisher's 3-point shot is a 50/50. I liked this coach it's just that LA has a deeper bench than MAGIC.
