not all nudibranchs are toxic. their toxicity is based upon their diet. Elysia crispata, for example eats only algae, which is why it is not toxic. Phyllidia varicosa on the other hand eats only certain species of toxic sponges, and is highly toxic. They do not produce their own toxins, it is obtained through diet.
That's just how they move when their a bit upset or disturbed other than that they slug around like a snail
