Looks like you shot pretty good. Even if you shot slow it's really all about having fun especially when your gun runs perfect! Maybe one day I'll get to use my SJC Open gun in a real match, if I ever enter a real match but for now I'm happy shooting with my indoor club.
@Talentedpro - Not at all. It's a SJC slide racker that's attached to the slot where the rear sight would have been installed to. You install it using a simple allen screw and a little bit of loctite. Plus it works well for quick gun retrieval (just like any other large slide racker) when you have a "gun on the table" stage.
@SendARope - No malfunctions, no weird C-more sight problems, in other words, the gun ran super well. I would say the longest shots were around 25-30 yards. So not all that long. But there were not many close shots either.
@dblclick - I reload. I use normal 9mm brass, montana gold 121ifp bullets, federal small pistol primers, and winchester small super field gun powder. Gotta admit that when I use this ammo recipe with my gun, it's LOUD!
For the targets that are almost covered by no-shoots, do you try to be accurate and get the highest zone visible or do you just shoot the edge visible to be safe? breat vid as always.
@jeffshootsstuff - It depends, if I see a little more than half the A zone, then I'm going to risk it. If it's less than that, I usually go for upper A (it either hits the A, but it will more like go to the B zone or C zone). Yes less points but when you get a no-shoot or worse no-shoot/mike, then you might as well kiss that stage good bye. For production I tend to take a little more risk...getting Cs is not good at all (double the points down).
@dblclick - You're right, I'm shooting 9mm major. You can shoot major with 9mm. I got a power factor of 171 at the chronograph. When you have the right gun, you don't worry about the gun blowing up when you put in 9mm major loads. I had a "don't try this at home moment" once where I accidentally used a 9mm major round in my Glock 34. I will never make that mistake again. LOL
@johniac7078 - I did a video for the SJC Glock 17 Open a couple months ago...what pistols were you thinking of? My other ones aren't all that exciting. :)

I wonder, does the slide racker handle effect your grip?

Cool video. How did your gun perform? Saw a lot of long shots.

Interesting, that must be some kind of great Plus P round. Can you tell me what brand you were using. I'm now jealous of your SJC.

A log of stages for a single day. You moved up to major power factor, I thought everything you shoot was 9mm. Great round.
