In the early to mid 80s my parents & I used to sell every Sunday at Englishtown auction & we'd hear these cars racing in the distance, loudly, cool stuff.

Any other NHRA track the car probably wouldn't have made it to the catch nets. Englishtown needs to be taken off the schedule it's outdated and landlocked with no room for expansion. One of the most dangerous tracks on the NHRA circuit

My guess is that someone on her crew packs the chutes. From her explanation, I'd say it was an electro-mechanical failure of the steering wheel chute button.

I've never gone as fast as she goes everyday, but I'll say that the end of the track comes up pretty dang fast and I'm only in the 8's at 150mph.

I think these gals are great for the sport. I'm always happy to have my daughters meet them.

@KingCobraOutlaw Actually Leah knows how to work on every part of her race car, that's how she was taught and continues to be that way today. She actually did the clutch on Melanie Troxel's funny car at a race when the crew was short handed.
