So sad when the sentence years are displayed over pictures of the kids when they look so innocent, especially marty in that touching moment where he shows his love for his brother and it says "death by way of electric chair". Very smart shooting, if the sentences were displayed when they were in the coutroom or when they didnt look so innocent, it wouldnt have as much impact as it did

The first time that I saw this film I thought the lyric, "Under the big bright yellow sun," was, "And then the big black Lincoln comes," like a tip of the hat to the stretched Town Cars that they use in funerals.

It made sense, at the time, in the context of this film.
