If healthcare is not to be based on profit, what then? Asserting that healthcare is a right is absurd. Do you not need food, shelter & clothing before you need to see a doctor? Where does funding for school, research, equipment, supplies, & cost of operation come from? Rights do not require the action of another human being but the inaction. The ability of an individual to use their skill & ability to profit has led to the commoner having what once only emperors & kings had.

Can't be paid off? What about the stories of insurance companies sending people equipment (wheelchairs, hearing aids, glasses) they don't need and then billing it to the Gov? The Republicans said there was going to be a Gov. takeover when the Democrats introduced Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare just to name a few. They voted no on all of those. I think the Republicans have a pretty bad record on these issues.

So why are they just addressing it? There are 535 members of congress. I would think by now that if there was such a thing as a NWO, the beans would be spilled. Its the same as saying the mob knocked off Kennedy. By now, someone would have squealed.

I think that is a bit exaggerated. America is nothing like Nazi Germany. As in the words of the late Sen Loyd Benson said to Sentaor Dan Quale, my family were victimized by Nazi Germany, they suffered through the holocaust, trust me America is no NAZI GERMANY!

I've been to 3rd world countries and Obama's healthcare bill is still more fair than several of those other nations combined.

In the United Kingdom, the innocent are placed on criminal DNA database. That's Nazi like.

Taxed to death? Are you insane? Have you ever lived in the UK?

They have TV licence tax, poll tax, rubbish bin tax, road tax, and in the United Kingdom Members of Parliament will use tax payer's money to buy second homes and other luxuries for themselves, and before someone found out about this they covered it all up.

Be happy that you live in America. Try living in one of these other countries than you'll miss America. Trust me, I've been there dude! I know.

What you call bad might be a luxury to someone else in other countries.

In England, you don't get to choose what job you have. You take whatever job is available.

Here in the USA, you can choose what job you want, what lifestyle you want, but we not only have a duty to ourselves, but we have a duty to others. United we Stand/ Divided we dall. Its just that simple!

I am from America by the way. I only lived there for awhile because my wife is british.

The British Government is not as free as America, but they have one good thing: 1) Socialized Healthcare--it saved my life back in 2006. I know it works, and it can work here too.

I think (hope) people's opinions change when they start noticing things are covered. No, they are evil because they can not provide people like me who have a disability with health insurance. As an Epileptic I am not available for ANY health care program. If you had a disability or didn't have insurance, I'm sure you would be making videos too.

Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution states: "The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and GENERAL WELFARE OF THE UNITED STATES; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States". So there it is! Congress is authorized to enact health care legislation that ensures the GENERAL WELFARE, and is authorized to levy taxes to fund it. End of Discussion!!
