  • Thanks you've helped me see things in a new light :)

  • Hey, I would just like to thank you for posting these video's. I was recently diagnosed with Atypical Aspergers and have found it quite difficult to take in but your video puts things into a much different perspective for me, Its made me realise that I'm still a person no matter what my diagnosis and that I can be whoever I want to be! I can't thank you enough! x

  • You are very courageous for coming on and speaking about your condition.

I can't imagine how difficult it is for you to do this.

  • YES I LIKE DIS ! I NID TO HIRE DIS!

  • with the execption of being BLIND aspergers is the worst ilness u can get cause it takes away the social side of your life.the chances of ME or any other male aspergers sufferer getting married or having kids are slimmer than an ethiopians waistline

  • I just got diagnosed with asperger Syndrome, it makes sense that i have it... but I don't know it's really hard, have you ever been in a relationship?

  • Right on. Death to cutsie nicknames!

  • i have aspergers diagnosed, can be hard times on the social side

  • I love your message, bikiniartist, just don't stop living because you have a condition that makes you different. Live the way you want to and love what you do. It's a nice change to watch something inspired on embracing this difference.

I'll be uploading some vids of myself on asperger's soon.

  • Bikini, you're beautiful. I hope you continue to be an inspiration to others like you and me in the future. And to those who think we aspergers carriers are retarted/etc: GO FUCK YOURSELFS! If you can't stand us talking about what we go through, then you should check yourselves into a mental institute because you all have VERY bad problems not being as intelligent as us because we CHECK the facts while you all just dwadle with your ignorance. Top that.

  • its cool.... Just keep up with the struggle to learn new social skillz

  • My son has Aspergers and he is a great kid and very intelligent .

  • hahahaha, you shouldnt be abusing the title of aspergers, you retarded twat. aspergers needs to be shot in the head.

  • 'good on ya mate' Lol..cheers mate =D Great vid, I saw a Tony Attwood seminar...great man that!

  • I don't have thuh' assburgers

  • @EdwR1 fuck yoself aspergers 4 life

  • Love this. Very touching when you spoke closely to the camera to people who also feel they have asperger's but have not been diagnosed. Love your humorous response to the guy who wants to ask you out. Thanks for sharing! Thanks for your candor. I will now buy your comic book bc I want to learn more. Good job.

  • your the first girl i met who has aspergers syndrome adn admits it as well. and i like u for that. (not as in gf becuase i know that you and i would find it creepy)

  • Aspergers is hard to deal with but once you learn all the strategy's it's a peace of cake to deal with

  • I like your video but I object to the notion of consulting a person other than myself who professes to be an expert on me, to learn about myself...and paying $125 an hour for it no less!

I think at the very least I should have been paid for having my personality published in the DSM IV.

  • LOL Yeah, like pretty girls have any autism related problems! You have a pussy, ergo, you have loads of friends!!!

  • @toweronepower Well I don't think mine works right in that case then because I don't see many friends!

  • asperger's girls are cute

  • Hi Emily! Just FYI, Tony Attwood is not Australian, he's English. He just happens to live and work in Australia. Good on you for making nice and informative videos. Take care.

  • She's hawt!

    Gigity

  • the only way ppl are gonna take this seriously is if they rename it to something less ridiculous than ass-burgers.

  • hello i have aspgers syndrome i thought what said is realy intersesting inthe videos im kind of tired so its hard for me to focus right now... but yes realy intersting im also a painter and photographer , erm ok i need asnck but yes very intersting stuff.......

  • Your video is really helpful and informative, thank you. I'm sorry that there are such rude and obnoxious comments on this video, the people posting them are just showing their immaturity.

  • I'm an Aussie, 24yo, and I have a "probable" diagnosis from a GP and a psychologist, seeking something more official now. I understand what it is like to go through childhood, school, young adult life, work and relationships without knowing "what is wrong with me?!" Life downright sucks at times but I suppose that can be said for everyone ;P

I have an obsession with anime, JDrama and JRPG's though so it was fun hearing your Japanese greetings and how you went to Japan and everything. Ganbatte!

  • @mbncd

Having obsession with stuff inst a problem did You know every time they diagnose people they make money, and ect..

  • Having obsessions can be a problem as it can make it hard to focus on what is at hand. Even if it's just a mini obsession with something someone said early in a conversation that didn't make sense to you; you might not be able to hear anything said after that because of that which can be a big problem in work or relationships.

It seems not everyone gets funding for diagnosing people though as neither GP's nor psychologists like to pigeon-hole people like that.

  • You remind me of a character in the movie named "The Breakfast Club". I had recently seen this movie after 25 yrs that it came out.. She had nothing better to do!!! Than to go to an all day Saturday school.

  • Hey Emily :) I just wanna thank you for putting this video up. I got into a relationship with a guy with aspergers and got sort of worried because I had no idea what it was about. I've come to find though that there's absolutely nothing wrong with anybody who happens to have it. My definition of normal stretches out to infinity anyway. I don't know if you'll get that or not but it's the best I can do having woken up about 10 minutes ago. =w= So anyway tanks again, youve helped me and him. :)

  • Laturisen, en stor STOR kuk. varför?

  • You can't have assburgers, your too cute :] lawl

  • Laturisen, sug min kuk, rövhål

  • FRRRRRRRRRRRRRT

  • WHY WAS THIS RECOMMENDED FOR ME?!

  • Hi My Name is Etienne Perley and I have Aspergers too. I'm also musicaly inclined

I play the peruvian Panpipes from

South America. I'm doing a lot of gigs

and I hope to become famous someday

I'm also really happy I'm not alone in this.

I'm also glad that you are keen on not smoking because people don't need to smoke it's just bad for you.

by the way if you want to check out my website my you tube channel can provide you with it. Thank you!

  • As the mother of 21 year-old twins, boy/girl, one of which is effected by autism. He is differently abled because of how his perception of this physical matter reality reads in his consciousness making his world so scary, I love you. I love hearing you talk about how you are, I love your entire being. Thank you for coming into this life to be a voice for our loved ones.

    Love

    Bette S Baysinger

  • you sorta look like a young "Pam" from the office.

you have a very positive and attractive energy about you. i would love to date a girl like you.

  • This girl is very cute!

  • i have aspergers i im pretty sure i didnt grow in a cabbage patch.

  • u r a lovely and sexy woman. U should be the spokewoman for AS and teach the world that AS is an evolutionary trait and people

    should embrace it.

  • bikiniartist is way too goodlooking to be an aspie

  • Aspergers doesn't affect physical appearance at all...

  • Arcanum 23 go fu*ck yourself.

  • yeah i am a late bloomer on aspergers just got diagnosed and dealing with it. yes i have a hard time with bullying during high school years and feeling different. I feel for you with having aspergers i having it myself. Sometimes i want to tell people " Hey I did ask to have aspergers i just have it so deal with it." So anyway enjoyed your video.

  • Your videos are really cool. I have AS and it would be awesome to have someone like you at my school, most everyone there is retarded.

  • Hi Emily, I just watched your video and I love the way you say one shouldn't define themselves by diagnoses and categories alone. That is so true. What matters the most is who you are as a person and what you do with your situation - not the conditions you may face.

  • UR SO PRETTY CAN I BUY U DINNER?

  • I like your videos and I also am impressed by the fact that you seem to be growing and maturing as an artist.

  • You are hilarious! I am interested in how humor works in a person with Aspergers/Autism. Keep talking to us you goofy little artist girl.......I think you're swell.

  • Do u think it is ok to be a OCD bibliophile aspb and I was wondering what ur IQ is.

  • You are lovely! Thanks for the info. Your artwork is good too. ;-)

  • I am 28 and found out about this condtion when I was 21. I had to do a lot of soul seraching for the first few years. But after a while I found out that there was nothing to worry about. That is thanks in part to pepole like you. BTW I to have a grilfriend and I also like being cretive as I wirte poems and play music. So thanks for being brave and showing everone theres nothing to fear with this condtion.

  • "g'day mate" haha, couldn't resist in response to your attempt at an Aussie accent... and I'm an Aussie.

Cool videos. I've recently been diagnosed with AS by Tony Attwood's crew and am trying to come to terms with it all. As I learn about the condition I am encouraged by the number of people with Asperger's who are true originals, and who see things differently (like you). I'm convinced we need people like this and this has made the diagnosis much easier to accept.

    cheers

  • Fuck these stupid-ass comments.

I have Aspergers. It wasn't diagnosed until I blew through medical school and residency. I get along with people socially fine, because of things I've learned. I stink at flirting and that kind of thing, but otherwise I do fine. And I have some flaming adult ADD with this.

So for the idiots who are making stupid comments, or who are hitting on you, they can go to hell. They totally miss the point.

  • @Randseed2 I didn't know this existed. I have always wondered why I couldn't make friends easily or make small talk. I have always found it hard to socialize. I'm not sure if I have this but from what I've read and heard I kind fall into some of the categories. Would you recommend to go see a doctor about this, or is it fine to just leave it alone? I mean is there really any benefit in seeing someone to confirm a problem like this?

  • @Randseed2 sounds like bullshit

  • Thanks for sharing some of yourself. Enjoy your vids.

  • Bravo to you for your videos on Asperger's - I've learned a lot from you to carry on for my 7 yr old boy with this syndrome. I am still struggling with his behavior, but we are working on it. Thank you! -on the smoking, I am now 41, at age 32 I was diagnosed with BORDERLINE EMPHYZEMA. Not until then did I quit. If I hadn't, eventually I would die from that illness. Be strong. You can do it. Be well.

  • I think you are very beautiful and articulate.

Thinking of defining aspergers, it seems

like tons of people probably have this.

I'm BiPolar but what I've heard I could be

mis-diagnosed. I think I'm just going to diagnose myself HUMAN finally.

  • Has my previous comment made anyone actually angry?

  • Your comments are not important enough to cause any reaction, with the excempt of probably your own so don't worry about it :)

(just so you know i just thought i'd be nice enough to reply to your question... about your own comment)

  • Lol. Trolls trolling trolls ect.

  • You are so so so cute.

  • You hit the nail on the head don't it get define you it destroys your idenity and it is derogritory to humanity almost I am almost blind but I don't let it rule over me I just live on lol

The whole aspie pride thing is bogus

    and btw you're gorgeaus hehe

I am a fellow autistic artiist to and great pics

  • I was diagnosed with ADHD but was a straight A student in school. Do you think your exposure to Japanese culture had any influence the way you dealt with your aspergers? I found the zen aspect of the culture helped me learn to focus.

  • Hi BikiniArtist. I want to speak with you personally about Asperger Syndrome if you wish. My YouTube name is Alwerks1. There is nothing apparently wrong with you other than the fact that you are a human being, smart, beautiful and sneaky! You Go Girl! Please talk to me I want to understand you more. If you want to understand me, just listen to Kraftwerk: Trans Europe Express. Listen to the words. By the way. Life is Timeless.

    Please Reply to: Alwerks1

  • Thank you Emily. Your wonderful, intelligent and creative take on 'Aspergers' has really helped me here.

I would love to hear from you again. Please do more.

  • You're totally awesome :)

  • my sister is a social aspie, but just has the awkwardness...

  • Fuck you asshole!

This is youtube its normal to make videos here you moron and this so happen to be a god dam importen one!

  • Thank you for your openness. Shame about the insensitive comments here.

  • this is really cute, with all the subcategories and stuff.

  • i really like the way you are, i am asperger syndrome of canada and i am like you. my name is Jean-Félix and i am 20 years old. my asperger syndrome was diagnosed at the age of 15. dont be surprise cause im proud to be aspie!! i am geographic maniac: i know the capital of all usa state(51) and all the capital of european union and important city of russie. i got some question but not enough character.

  • hehe..i love it when u talk in japanese..i try to learn this language to^_^..and let me tell you that i realy admire you..i do not have asperger's syndrom...but i realy wanna know more about ppl like you! i wish you the best^_^! Gambate!

  • wow dude would u ship ur hats to the uk?

I am on ur site and love them!

I have one similar from tresspass but its just not nearly as cool.

    let me know!

  • most defiantly! international shipping rates are tallied at the checkout. I can also do commissions.

  • haha seriously this video is awesome!

I'm 17 and have aspergers. It was my mum that found this video and then got me to watch it.

I was diagnosed when i was 14 because I was sent to a phyciatrist because I was having panic attacks before going to school and ended up just refusing to go.

What u say in one of ur other videos about ppl asking how can u have autism? u seem perfectly normal? is so true.

No1 ever thinks i have anything up mentally because i have become a master of diguise lol....

  • She is not an Aspie take a look at the other videos nobody with AS could be so social

  • that's kind of dumb, people with Asperger's can become more social with practice, especially girls.

  • shes talk to the camera, is a factor. Sorry no Speak english i try.

  • Every autistic person is different. Stop living off of stereotypes.

  • yeah thats true ,i have a very minor case of it but ive met many others and all of them wer eon diffrent levels.but evrey one of them excelled in a certain subject be it singing, art or music

  • BS. Many Aspies can learn social behavior. the difference is they can't figure alot of it on their own but rules and social interaction skills can be taught and learned.

  • Where's your medical degree? Oh wait, an actual doctor would know better than to diagnose someone based on a video. So don't try to diagnose people.

  • most doctors dont even know about Aspergers. A person who researches Aspergers knows more than many health professionals!!!!

  • There are different types of doctors. A dermatologist wouldn't learn about Aspergers while a psychologist would. He is not a psychologist and she isn't his patient. He has no right to diagnose her based on a video blog. Even if he was her doctor, he wouldn't be allowed to do that.

  • ........but its taken many many years to learn.

I still freak out about social situations but now i'm able to cope with them better rathar than just totally avoiding them all together like i used to.

I think its awesome that ur making these videos and increasing knowledge of aspergers.

But I will definatly check out ur paintings. I got the creative side of ASD also. I play too many instruments to name them all and I love art!

  • What's your cutsie name for "nose"?

  • Snifflekins?

  • i love "aspy" lol

  • "Don't let it define who you are. Be a whole person who has a unique and beautiful mind." I think that this is really important.

Your videos are wonderful: very engaging but also (positively) entertaining. I find it hard to believe that you could have social issues; nonetheless, it's much more enticing to carve out our own path through this gloomy, but enchanted, forest that is life than following the lumberjacks like many others.

  • I agree with you about the term "Aspie." I"m not a 2-year old who has to go wee wee. My biggest obstacles are: 1) getting properly diagnosed and 2) trying to convince my family that this is real and that I do in fact have it and it runs in our family without them calling me a "hypochondriac". But I don't think I'm sick or dying; I just have behaviors & learning challenges that mimic AS. You know? People annoy me. LOL!

  • If you can't get a diagnosis, it's likely you aren't an aspie anyway.

  • Thank you for sharing your story. My son 17 has not being diagnosed yet but he does have characteristics of aspergers.

  • you're beautiful

  • I watched ii and had to comment. Now i've watched iii and am only gonna say the same thing. What a clever, articulate, unimpeded individual you are. Aspergers...what the hell's that? If you've got it i want it!!

  • Wow, you're really good. I have Aspergers too, maybe you could watch my videos too.

  • I think aspies are snakes in egypt too. I normally call it AS (for Aspergers Syndrome).

I believe AS and ADHD are somehow related.

Your comment about smoking made me stop, because last night I had a dream that showed me how it is to smoke. Coincidence? Maybe.

Also, I think smoking is a bad idea.

  • They're not related in any way. Most autistic peoples are quiet people instead of busy.

  • I see.

  • I have ADHD and i too think they could be related of mixed

  • i think you are autistic, just by your voice and your facial expressions... but i guess you already knew ; )

  • her face looks like anyone else you cant tell by a face lol

  • I would be proud to have such an articulate, self-possessed, and intelligent as my daughter. My daughter is six right now with sensory processing disorder. She has a hard time with noise, food, visual...but how she feels about herself is most important to me. You are an inspiration to me as a mother of a future 25 year old. Rock on.

  • Lol, I liked the joke about snakes!

  • lol your amazing and quite funny to. i dont really think about my AS. ive gotten better so no one really notice. well just saying your cool i normal dont like other like me

  • HEHE SNAKES IN EGYPT

im an aspie too, but i call it!!!that

but any who rock on U ROCK

  • LOL OMG Your personality reminds me of my own. I didn't think I would find someone like myself...

  • My son is 8 years old and he has been diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome. He is really smart and struggling with behaviors in school. I have found most schools are not supportive. I fight for him every day. He is artistic, talented, intelligent and beautiful. I believe with my whole heart that he is exactly what he was meant to be.

Aspergers runs in my family too btw

  • Wow your so hot. How do you keep your skin so clear? What were you peaking at while recording that video? is your computer screen to your left? Aspie is similar to the word Espier, its an informative simularity. Wow that guy stole my comment. I had a friend when I was younger whom would start talking loudly in public places and it was disturbing for me and others, he never seemed to realise he was doing it though. I tend to think women make a bigger deal out of the aspergers thing.

  • you look cool. You have a little something that just makes you cute :)

  • Hi I also have aspergers, yep i know how it feels like, Sometimes I find it hard to focus on lessons too and some girls think im weird... anyway wanna be friends?

  • "Forgive my tangent" HAHAH I love that!! Rock the F*ck on!! <3

  • Thank you, Emily! I have aspergers, which I only just found out. I have friends who have other issues and I'm always telling them, yes, that's something you have, it's not who you are. Thank you for addressing that issue.

  • omg! u r awesome! i LOVE u (not the romantic way, i'm a girl) i know exactly wat u mean about like everything you said, i an aspie too

  • haha lol i'm aussie, and i was diagnosed by some collegue or friend or something of tony's.."good on ya mate" haha :P

  • Lol great comment at the end of video (to whoever asked)!

  • You're funny as hell. :P

I suspect my friend of this syndrome, but i'm not sure. I have become interested.

    Keep it up.

  • I really like the videos that you have made. i live in new brunswick and i have a 6 year old son that is autisic. He has a girf of drawing and writing and playing video games. I am posting a video on him tonight and posting some of his writing and drawing his name is caleb t. cheers

  • damn your wicked hot and you act really normal for a person with AS.. you're the inspiration for attractive AS people... oh well hey I'm AS and i am a snake in Egypt why you gotta be all prejudice to Egyptian snakes im proud to be an aspie

  • I love your sense of humor:)

    You made my day!

I am going to bed knowing a little bit more about

Asperger syndrome. And Emily, again, thank you for taking the time to share yourself with us!

    Dora

  • Your videos gave me some hope that m
