  • Can you give some tips on salad dressing I'm almost 100 percent raw but I can't seem to shake the processed salad dressing, Amy's wasabi seaweed snacks, and pistachios.

  • hey! I have to say, I usually expect an aggressive, defensive, insulting attitude from 80 10 10ers, (maybe that's my fault for stereotyping according to diet but based on observation), but you are a very sweet and open individual! I really appreciate it.

  • @raaaaaarr Well thank you very much! :)

  • @FitOnRaw How many calories you eat a day? 811 is a lot of food LOL Do you know Tim Van Orden? He eats a lot less then the normai 811 and he thrives very well

  • @Spies152 It may look like a lot of food given the low-volume cooked foods most people consume, but it is actually the right amount of food. I average 1800-2000 per day.

  • @FitOnRaw your 1800-2000 does seems more easy. On 30BAD they recomend much higher that that..They will say you are undercarbed LOL.

  • @Spies152 It all depends upon how much energy your expend, which depends upon several factors (e.g. height, activity level, etc.). I'm only 5'4.5" tall and I don't run marathons, workout hours per day, or have a labor-intensive job. 3000 calories is simply way too much for me.

  • what dose a garilla eat ????

  • Hey, I have been eating a lot more fruit lately, been researching the whole vegan fruitarian thing. The only thing I'm wondering about is that I thought fruit is kinda high in sugar, won't it rot your teeth? Also, since all fruit is mostly carbs isn't that too much carbs? Any info would be appreciated, thanks for sharing! :)

  • @fmbighair High-carb is the way nature intended for us since fruit is the only obvious food nature presents to us.

Sugar doesn't rot teeth; acid from bacteria wears teeth leading to rot. Get enough minerals to re-mineralize teeth. And keep bacteria away by brushing with baking soda.

  • @Gary1111001 Good point about nature providing. I sort of understand your point about acid and minerals but can you explain a bit more? Do you mean bacteria from food or not brushing? How do I know I'm getting enough minerals? thanks.

  • @fmbighair My view is - bacteria gets out of hand in un-healthy people and with bad diets. And I heard that the body can detox through the mouth. Toxins are also acidic. Either way, if you keep removing the bacteria, the teeth won't rot.

tip: brush BEFORE eating acidic foods; rinse after. Don't brush after because the acid softens teeth for 30 minutes

Get enough minerals by eating a pound of veggies a day.

  • i see you got persimans, i LOVE them but they are kinda expensive - 2.50/ea...but they have the most unique taste.

  • Very interesting, thank you for the video. I can sustain myself on 80% fruits but have been told that it is not good for people to eat that much fruit (and can eat 8 bananas in a seating). I am genuinely confused. Can you address the issue of sugar in fruits?

  • @Macedon51 Have you ever asked them why it isn't good to eat "that much" fruit? They probably think that fruit will lead to hyperglycemia (it won't) or that fruit causes candidiasis (it doesn't) or that the sugar will cause cancer (it most certainly will not). All of these conditions have been linked to the presence of excess dietary fat (among other things), not fruit.

  • Well explained, thank you for not being so loud and in your face

  • Those bananas are too brown. You bought too many before you can eat them.

  • @seka1986 Many people think that a banana is ripe when it is completely (or even when it is still partially green). Nope, these are still unripe. You want your banana to be completely yellow with brown spots on it. How many spots will depend upon the type/brand of banana, but these I bought from Costco are perfect at the stage you see in these video and just before it (a little less spots). :)

  • @FitOnRaw sorry, meant to say "when it is completely yellow"

  • @FitOnRaw yeah I think i'm too picky. I like the banana best when all the green goes away and it looks all yellow. It's only like that for a day or 2 though. I usually buy 3 bananas at a time so I don't have to eat too many spotted ones.

  • @seka1986 actually that's how you're supposed to eat them lol

  • @smileyraw I eat em yellow!

  • This was the first video of yours which I stumbled upon accidentally. I was doing a Google search trying to find out if it's possible to eat too much fruit, because I was worried that I was eating too many oranges (like 4 a day). This video was really a revelation to me, as someone who comes from a cooked food background. I would never have thought one could get away with eating that many bananas! Fruit is really going to help me transition to raw food, I love it!

  • @WannabeKiwiBoy Awesome, another converted fruit lover! Mission accomplished. ;)

  • I have to agree with you, althou i have never tried eating all those bannanas, i actually bought a whole box just recently and there all gone..of which my kids and husband ate the most..this is great you have shared this..now i feel confident about eating more fruit. :)

  • @Mrlandroverful Yes, never fear the fruit! :)

  • Thanks for this video! It has the information I REALLY needed to hear.

  • did you lose any weight starting this diet? if so how much?

  • @faintsunrise Yes, I lost about 15lbs, 1/3 of which came off in the first week or so (mostly water weight, of course).

  • I eat fruit at breakfast and vegetables for lunch.

1 orange, 1 apple, 1 banana, 1 bowl of instant oats and 1 bowl of corn flakes, 600ml of unsweetened soya milk and two slices of wholemeal toast.

    That is my breakfast.

For lunch I eat salad sandwiches and cooked vegetables(lunch is varied but I always eat some salad).

  • Sometimes I will eat grapes for breakfast too but they are expensive so really they are a treat for me.

I also eat nuts(my fav. is peanuts).

But I think eating 10 bananas at a time is extreme.

  • Cool great video.. you seem very happy and balanced. Do you eat any other fruit besides banana? I love bananas even before I went raw I ate 3-4 a day.. I still eat eggs some days.. I like banana omelet .. that is an omelet on chopped banana with raw agava necta over the top! Scrummy:)

  • @teganjames Well, thank you! :)

Yes, I eat more fruit than just bananas -- depending upon what is in season at the time -- but bananas are my staple due to availability, caloric density, and cost. If I had my druthers, I would live on peaches and mangoes forever. :P

  • I get full after 1-2 bananas. How are you able to eat 8 in one sitting without being miserably full?

  • @gillygirlva Once you give your stomach time to adjust to the extra volume, it isn't difficult at all. Today, I can't imagine eating any other way. I can finally feel completely satisfied after a meal without feeling bloated, nauseated and lethargic.

  • Just wondering how many years have you been on the low fat raw diet? Thanks

  • @mbassadorjr About 99% for just over two years

  • Thanks Swayze! I like a lot your explanation.

  • Great video! =)

  • Thanks, so glad you enjoyed it!
