Ricochet was indeed made up from parts of live concerts. It was NEVER a one track composed piece of music. TD were masters in cut and paiste. Phaedra and Rubycon were also made up from different ideas from Baumann, Franke and Froese... DO NOT think of Ricochet as "a composition" ...
This really was the ultimate line-up... At that time TD was experimental, nowadays Froese Party Orchestra is pure crap.
@FoxtronInk 1. It is not studio, but live recording. From audience at that. As such it circulates on bootleg albums, but as a part of Tangerine Tree collection TD has allowed its distribution, with proviso that no profit is made.
2. It is only similar to Ricochet (being performed as a part the same tour) but it is not Ricochet. Anyway, the people who have actually been in these concerts can explain this better from personal experience.
@tie32101 Note that this performance is similar to the material recorded as Ricochet album, but is not the Ricochet. It is from the same tour, but do not confuse the materials.
I was at this gig too however I was in the main audience as I went and sat in what I think were the choir stalls to the side and behind the stage, no one told me not to but I was the only one there I think. I was only about eight feet or so away from the closet member of TD.
I also went to the Albert Hall gig earlier that year...and saw Klaus Shultze at the Planetarium...not bad for a sixteen year old...lol

Wow, please explain if there is any connection between this studio recording and Ricochet. Perhaps, is it the same? Excuse my ignorance.

Weren't the Ricochet tracks made from snippets of live performances from London and France?
