@heusmeulf4ever pop stoneclaw totem when you have 5 stacks of maelstorm up, then pop greater heal. i call it the dk technique, if u have the stoneclaw glyph then ur stoneclaw totem absorbs 16k dmg.

end result is ur targets hp has been dps'd down while urs has been going up :)

use str totem, searing totem, windfury totem, and healing totem.

fighting frost mages made easy - when they blink use frost shock, that will root them in place, use ur wind shear whenever u see frostbolt being cast

@TheIccarium pop wolves when mage is half way hp, i tend not to use pop wolves unless im losing the fight, when you use ur stoneclaw totem, use shamanstic rage, as that reduces dmg and makes the aborb sheild last longer. wind fury with frost band for pvp.

For people who still can't searing totem a dummy: this is the least dps loss: Unleash elements, flame shock, drop totems, then continue normal rotation with SS, LL etc.

just to let you know you need to use flameshock more that is why you searing totem isnt hitting a training dummie searing totem will only hit a dummie as long as you have flameshock on. Your shocks should go FLAME SHOCK EARTH SHOCK FLAME SHOCK EARTH SHOCK and so on your flame shock is a must.

The searing totem will hit the dummy, what i do is just lay down totems after unleash elements, but yes if you dont set it down after you start attacking, it wont hit anything

as an elemental, its better to keep your distance, so if you cant do that, you have lost. though, if left unattended, an elemental shaman can lay waste to the horde/alliance way better than an enhancement would.

personally, i prefer enhancement... about the same DPS and you dont have to worry about getting close to mages(you have like, an infinate amount of slow removal and freezes)

as well as stacking agility, stacking agility is important, i pretty much just only gem for agility, because i have 67 agility gems as well, its more beneficial to just do that most of the time than actually get the socket bonuses.

You should never ever have to wait for Searing totem to build up 5 stacks, it should already be at 5 by the time you use lava lash (after the first time that is) just use it whenever available. Also during the croc fight you had maelstrom weapon at 5 stacks for like 20 sec before you used it... gotta be using one of your lightning spells as soon as that pops up, its part of our rotation.

Unsure about the name, I think it's Unlease Elements, letting your enchants on your weapon (Shaman ench) go free and give you a buff for whatever it does.

have a suggestion for ya. I ran into the same issue with searing totem when i was at the dumbies.. What i had to do was Recast totems after i initialize my attack . The Dummy is yellow, as in able to attack, but not red or a threat. When you hit him for the first time, he turns red, and the searing totem will activate, but have to DROP when dummy is RED. Give it a try and let me know :D

searing totem works on dummies - you just have to put it down after you start hitting because then you'll be in combat with it. the dummy is yellow or neutral until you start attacking it and the searing totem does not attack neutral targets. you've got to hit it first to get it to become red and then put the totem down and it will start shooting

@bernaperna No. Just no. You don't want to use Flame Shock without Unleash Elements. Cast timers screw you over because they reset your timers. If you don't think so, go test it out. Back in the release of Wrath, I experimented hard casting Lava Burst and without it, you do more dps.
